Abstract

This study aims to analyze the internal and external conditions of schools in supporting the implementation of School-Based Management (SBM) using SWOT analysis at SD Negeri 6 Panjer. This research applies a qualitative case study approach through observation and interviews. The results indicate that the school’s strengths include literacy, numeracy, character education programs, and community support, while weaknesses involve limited teacher technological competence and student behavioral issues. Opportunities come from parental support and technological developments, while threats arise from social environments and diverse family backgrounds. The SWOT analysis produces strategies such as improving teacher competence, strengthening character education, optimizing programs, and enhancing collaboration with parents to ensure more effective and sustainable SBM implementation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran transformasi digital dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pengelolaan sekolah dasar serta mengidentifikasi tantangan dalam penerapannya. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur melalui kajian berbagai buku, jurnal, dan artikel ilmiah yang relevan pada rentang tahun 2020–2026. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa transformasi digital mampu meningkatkan efisiensi administrasi sekolah, mempermudah pengelolaan data, mendukung pengambilan keputusan, serta meningkatkan komunikasi antarwarga sekolah. Tantangan yang ditemukan meliputi keterbatasan kompetensi digital tenaga pendidik, infrastruktur teknologi yang belum merata, dan aspek keamanan data. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan dukungan sumber daya manusia, sarana prasarana, dan kebijakan yang tepat agar transformasi digital dapat diterapkan secara optimal dalam manajemen sekolah dasar.

Abstract

School-Based Management (SBM) is an approach that grants schools autonomy in managing resources to improve educational quality. This study aims to analyze the implementation of SBM at SD Widiatmika and identify its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats using a SWOT analysis. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and analysis of the 2026 School Management Questionnaire. The results show that SBM at SD Widiatmika has been implemented very well, as all indicators across seven management components have been fulfilled: curriculum, student affairs, human resources, finance, facilities and infrastructure, public relations, and service quality. The SWOT analysis indicates several strengths, including effective school leadership, strong stakeholder support, a structured management system, and adequate facilities. Opportunities include technological development and strong community support. However, weaknesses remain in improving teachers’ digital competencies and maintaining consistent instructional innovation. Threats include changes in education policies and increasing demands for quality. Overall, SD Widiatmika has strong potential to optimize its management through innovation, collaboration, and adaptability to change.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of School-Based Management (SBM) implementation in improving educational quality at SD Negeri 4 Sanur through a SWOT analysis approach. The study was motivated by the importance of autonomous, participatory, transparent, and accountable school management in addressing the demands for educational quality improvement in the digital era. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Data were collected through observations, interviews, documentation, and analysis of school documents. The findings indicate that the implementation of SBM at SD Negeri 4 Sanur has been relatively effective, particularly in the areas of curriculum management, student affairs, facilities and infrastructure management, and financial administration. The school's strengths include the quality of its teaching staff, the democratic leadership of the principal, a conducive learning environment, and strong stakeholder support. However, several weaknesses were identified, including the suboptimal use of educational technology, limitations in special support services, and uneven professional development opportunities for teachers. The opportunities available to the school include parental support, government policies, and advancements in educational technology, while threats arise from competition among schools, changes in educational policies, and increasing public expectations regarding the quality of educational services. Based on the SWOT analysis, the implementation of SBM at SD Negeri 4 Sanur is considered effective in supporting educational quality improvement. Nevertheless, further enhancement is needed in the areas of instructional innovation, human resource development, and community partnerships to ensure sustainable educational quality improvement.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to examine the character values and local wisdom contained in the Balinese folktale I Lubdaka and its relevance in elementary school learning. The method used is a literature study by utilizing various written sources such as books, journals, and the text of I Lubdaka. The data were analyzed by identifying narratives and excerpts that reflect character values. The results show that the story contains religious values, self-awareness, responsibility, discipline and perseverance, as well as life balance in the concept of Tri Hita Karana. These values can be used as learning media to help students understand and apply moral values in their daily lives. In addition, the use of Balinese folktales in learning can increase students’ interest and support the preservation of local culture. Therefore, I Lubdaka can be used as an alternative medium for character education in elementary schools.

Abstract

Differentiated instruction is a key pillar of the Kurikulum Merdeka (Freedom Curriculum) designed to accommodate the diverse needs, interests, and learning profiles of elementary school students. Despite policy implementation since 2022, field-level challenges remain uncomprehensively synthesized. This study aims to: (1) identify the concepts and principles of differentiated instruction within the Kurikulum Merdeka framework; (2) map evidence-based implementation strategies; and (3) describe challenges and solutions supported by empirical evidence. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) using the PRISMA protocol was employed. Searches across Google Scholar, GARUDA, and DOAJ databases yielded 248 articles; after four-stage screening, 25 articles indexed in Sinta 1–4 (2022–2026) were included. Results reveal three differentiation dimensions content, process, and product that must be implemented in an integrated manner grounded in diagnostic assessment. Eight strategies proved effective, led by flexible grouping (cited in 18/25 articles) and beginning-of-unit diagnostic assessment (19/25 articles). The greatest challenge is limited teacher pedagogical competence, addressable through lesson study–based professional learning communities and the Merdeka Mengajar platform. This review produces evidence-based synthesis directly applicable to teachers, school principals, and policymakers seeking to optimize differentiated instruction at the elementary school level.

Abstract

The implementation of School-Based Management (SBM) at SD Negeri 3 Sanur has generally been carried out fairly well, as evidenced by solid internal governance, a conducive learning environment, and adequate school facilities. Various aspects, including curriculum, student affairs, human resources, finance, and infrastructure management, have been structured effectively to support the learning process. However, public relations management is still sub-optimal, which consequently limits the active involvement of external stakeholders and the school committee. Based on the SWOT analysis, the school's location in Sanur presents a great opportunity to strengthen community cooperation and utilize the local environment as a contextual learning resource. This opportunity must be maximized to address tangible threats, such as intense inter-school competition and ever-increasing demands for educational quality. Therefore, a tactical strategy to enhance school-community communication and collaboration is highly required to support sustainable educational quality improvement.
