Abstract

Endurance plays an active role in basketball games as a support for implementing strategy and tactics, so players must have excellent endurance. The study aims to determine the impact of interval training on high school basketball players' endurance. The research applied the experimental method. The samples are ten participants of the As-Shofa basketball team determined through a total sampling technique. The research uses the one-group pretest-posttest design. The instrument in this study is a bleep test. Based on the test analysis, the tcount value obtained was 2,371, and the ttable value obtained was 1,833. These values indicate that the tcount value is greater than the ttable at a 0,05 sig. value. The results of this study can conclude a significant influence of interval training exercises on high school basketball players' endurance. The determinant value of endurance is 67 percent contribution. Thus, high-intensity interval training significantly increases the Vo2max endurance capacity.

Abstract

The development of learning outcomes in physical education for students in the 21st century depends on innovation and a series of learning models designed by educators to improve children's critical thinking skills. In the jigsaw cooperative learning model with the advantage of a deeper understanding of the material, cooperation between students is formed, students' motivation in sports increases, and students are trained in responsibility. For junior high school students, there is volleyball material which is one of the big ball game materials. This research aims to find out whether the application of the jigsaw type cooperative learning model can improve volleyball learning outcomes for junior high school level students. This investigation uses quantitative research with a pure experimental type through a randomized control group pretest-posttest design. In this study, the instruments used were knowledge tests and skills tests, with samples using cluster random sampling to determine 2 classes, namely 8-D as the experimental class and 8-C as the control class. The results of this study used parametric tests on knowledge tests with P-value results of 0.00 < 0.05, which means there was an increase in learning outcomes using the jigsaw-type cooperative learning model on student knowledge and on skills tests with non-parametric tests with results obtained p < 0.05, which means there was significant improvement. Student learning outcomes increased by 68.27% on the knowledge test and by 68.27% on the skills test using the N-Gain test. So it can be concluded that the application of the jigsaw cooperative influences volleyball learning outcomes in the improvement category quite effectively.

Abstract

Some efforts to maintain health are by doing physical activity and maintaining quality sleep. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between physical activity and sleep quality in class X IPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Koto Gasib. This research is a type of correlational research. The sample in this study consisted of 25 students of class X IPA 2. Data collection to determine the level of physical activity of students was obtained from completing the The Physical Activity Questionnaire for Adolescents (PAQA) questionnaire, while to determine the level of students' sleep quality was obtained from filling out the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index ( PSQI) questionnaires were given directly to students and then data analysis was carried out. and hypothesis testing using the parametric statistical method Pearson's Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient. The results found in this study were 7 (28%) students whose physical activity was included in the moderate category, and 18 (72%) students who were included in the low category, then there were 11 (44%) students with good sleep quality and 14 students . (56%) students with poor sleep quality. The results of data analysis obtained rx.y = 0.569, and rx.y = 0.569 > r table: 0.505. Based on the results of this study, the level of association of 0.569 is at the "Moderate" level, which is equal to 0.40–0.599, so it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between physical activity and the sleep quality of students in class X IPA 2 at SMA Negeri 1 Koto Gasib.

Abstract

Perkembangan motorik kasar merupakan perkembangan gerakan tubuh yang berpusat pada penggerakan seluruh otot-otot besar (big muscle). Contohnya, kemampuan duduk, berjalan, berlari dan sebagainya. Aktivitas motorik memiliki peranan yang sangat penting dalam mengembangkan keterampilan anak. Dengan aktif bergerak, seorang anak dapat mengembangkan keterampilan motorik kasar. Ada banyak cara yang dilakukan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan motorik kasar pada anak, salah satunya melalui permainan tradisional. Namun, semakin majunya Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi (IPTEK) menyebabkan permainan tradisional mulai jarang dimainkan oleh anak-anak. Hal ini menyebabkan anak-anak beralih pada permainan gadget yang lebih menarik dan mudah untuk diakses. Dengan gadget, kemampuan anak dalam bersosialisasi menjadi kurang dan keterampilan motorik kasar tidak bisa dikembangkan. Berdasarkan fenomena yang didapat, peneliti melakukan kajian literatur untuk mengetahui peranan penting permainan tradisional dalam meningkatkan keterampilan motorik kasar pada anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi literatur atau tinjauan pustaka. Adapun data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan data pembantu yang diperoleh dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan oleh peneliti sebelumnya dengan topik yang sama. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode Preferred Reporting Items for Sistematic Review and Meta Analysis (PRISMA). Berdasarkan dari hasil studi literatur dapat disimpulkan bahwa permainan tradisional dapat menjadi solusi dalam meningkatkan perkembangan kemampuan motorik kasar anak.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas latihan active stretching back statis dalam meningkatkan fleksibilitas otot punggung pada atlet bola voli. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen one group pretest-posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 18 atlet bola voli, yang seluruhnya dijadikan sampel melalui teknik total sampling atau sampel jenuh. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam pengukuran kelenturan adalah tes bridge-up yang dilakukan sebanyak tiga kali pengulangan untuk memastikan reliabilitas data. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji deskriptif, normalitas, dan uji-t untuk mengetahui signifikansi perubahan. Uji normalitas Kolmogorov-Smirnov menunjukkan bahwa data pretest (p = 0,126) dan posttest (p = 0,109) berada di atas ambang batas 0,05, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal. Hasil uji-t menunjukkan nilai t-hitung sebesar 12,152 lebih besar dari t-tabel 2,201 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,005 < 0,05, yang mengindikasikan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Pengukuran tambahan menunjukkan peningkatan sebesar 10% pada uji sudut poplitea dan 16,7% pada tes sit and reach. Hasil penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa active stretching back statis memiliki dampak positif terhadap peningkatan fleksibilitas otot punggung, yang merupakan komponen penting dalam performa atlet bola voli. Temuan ini mendukung pentingnya pendekatan latihan yang terstruktur dan berbasis bukti ilmiah dalam meningkatkan kapasitas fisik atlet secara optimal.
