Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate student satisfaction with student services at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Nias University. Involving 282 respondents consisting of 152 males and 130 females, this study used a Likert scale-based questionnaire to collect data. Validity and reliability tests showed all indicators were valid and reliable with a Cronbach's alpha value of 0.916. Satisfaction analysis was conducted through the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) and Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) methods, which resulted in a CSI value of 53%, indicating a good level of satisfaction although there are some aspects that need improvement. This study also identifies factors that affect student satisfaction, such as adequacy, accessibility, and quality of facilities & infrastructure, with data analysis using multiple linear regression. The results of the study are expected to provide recommendations for improving student affairs services in the future, ensuring that services remain optimal for students.

Abstract

This study addresses the increasingly crucial issues of data security and digital privacy amidst the rise in online activity. Using library research, the study examined various scientific literature, journals, cybersecurity agency reports, and other academic sources to understand two key issues: user vulnerability when connecting to public networks and the low level of public literacy regarding data protection mechanisms. The study's findings indicate that public networks remain one of the most vulnerable points in digital communication due to weak encryption and the high risk of data interception. Furthermore, the public's lack of understanding of privacy protection technology exacerbates the situation, as users often neglect security measures for the sake of convenience. The literature analysis demonstrates that data protection is not solely dependent on technology but is also largely determined by users' awareness and understanding. Therefore, this study concludes that digital security solutions must balance technological and educational aspects. This approach will help users better understand the risks they face and utilize protection technology more effectively to safeguard their digital privacy.

Abstract

Quistiq is a web-based online quiz application using native PHP. The certificate creation process for passing participants is still manual, requiring 5-7 minutes per certificate with a 12% error rate. This research develops a certificate printing system integrated with Quistiq through RESTful API JSON to automate graduation validation and certificate printing. The research method uses Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Waterfall model including requirements analysis, design, client-server architecture design, implementation using native PHP, MySQLi, Bootstrap, CSS, and JavaScript with JSON format data exchange, as well as testing and maintenance phases. Functionality testing uses black-box testing method on 6 test cases and API performance testing uses Postman with 100 requests. The test results show that the system has a functionality success rate of 99.2% with all features running according to specifications. API performance shows an average response time of 1.9 seconds, PDF certificate generation time of less than 2 seconds, and request success rate of 99.2%. The system successfully increases the efficiency of the certificate creation process by 85% compared to the manual process, reduces input data errors from 12% to 0.8%, and ensures certificate format consistency. The implementation of RESTful API JSON proves effective in automating the certificate printing process and significantly improving system accuracy and efficiency.

Abstract

Digitalisasi layanan sekolah menjadi kebutuhan penting untuk meningkatkan efisiensi administrasi, termasuk dalam proses Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru (PPDB). Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan sistem PPDB berbasis web yang terintegrasi dengan sistem perpustakaan melalui RESTful API sehingga dapat mengurangi input data berulang dan mempercepat layanan administrasi. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) dengan tahapan analisis kebutuhan, perancangan sistem, implementasi, pengujian, dan evaluasi. Sistem dibangun menggunakan PHP dan MySQL dengan format pertukaran data JSON melalui endpoint API. Pengujian dilakukan menggunakan metode black-box untuk menilai fungsionalitas form pendaftaran dan pemanggilan data melalui API. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi API mampu menampilkan data siswa berstatus diterima secara otomatis tanpa input ulang, sehingga proses pembuatan akun perpustakaan menjadi lebih cepat dan minim kesalahan. Selain itu, penerapan filter kondisi status dan fungsi COALESCE memastikan data jurusan yang ditampilkan merupakan keputusan final admin. Dengan demikian, sistem ini efektif mendukung pengelolaan data siswa baru serta menunjukkan potensi pengembangan lanjutan seperti kartu perpustakaan digital dan manajemen peminjaman buku.

Abstract

Abstrak - Kebutuhan untuk menyinkronkan data identitas mahasiswa dalam ekosistem layanan kampus digital guna menghindari asimetri informasi antar unit layanan merupakan pendorong utama penelitian ini. Masalah utama yang ditemukan adalah kemungkinan kesalahan data pesanan dalam aplikasi kantin jika tidak terhubung langsung ke basis data pusat perpustakaan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan validitas dan efisiensi transaksi dengan mengintegrasikan data mahasiswa melalui API RESTful. Pembuatan layanan web menggunakan format pertukaran data JSON dan pembuatan logika validasi di sisi aplikasi penerima merupakan dua aspek metodologi penelitian. Proses integrasi dilakukan ketika JSON dari server Perpustakaan, mengkonfirmasi status keberhasilan respons, dan memvalidasi data atribut mahasiswa termasuk Nama, Jurusan, dan Nomor Ponsel adalah tiga langkah utama dari proses integrasi. Temuan menunjukkan kemampuan sistem yang dibangun untuk secara otomatis mengekstrak data ke dalam variabel lokal dan fitur keamanannya, yang menghentikan operator untuk melanjutkan proses pembayaran jika pengecekan status tidak berhasil. Singkatnya, implementasi REST API ini secara efektif mencapai integrasi data yang stabil antara Perpustakaan dan Sistem Kantin, menjamin bahwa layanan hanya dapat diakses oleh mahasiswa yang telah terkonfirmasi. Hasil akhir penelitian ini menjamin bahwa seluruh layanan transaksi pada unit kantin hanya dapat di akses dan diproses bagi mahasiswa yang identitasnya telah terkonfirmasi secara sah pada basis data pusat.Kata kunci : REST API; Integrasi Data; JSON; Aplikasi Kantin; Validasi Data; Abstract - The necessity of synchronizing student identity data within a digital campus service ecosystem to mitigate information asymmetry between service units is the primary motivation for this research. The central problem addressed is the potential for data inconsistency within the canteen application due to the lack of direct connectivity with the central library database. This study aims to optimize transaction validity and efficiency through data integration utilizing RESTful API technology. The implemented methodology focuses on developing JSON-based web services and designing validation logic on the client application side. The integration mechanism encompasses retrieving JSON data from the Library server, verifying response status, and validating student attributes such as Name, Study Program, and Mobile Number. Test results demonstrate the system's capability to automatically extract data into local variables and its security protection features that prevent transactions if status verification fails. This REST API implementation successfully establishes stable data integration, ensuring that canteen service access is exclusively granted to students with verified identities in the central database..Keywords: REST API; Data Integration; JSON; Canteen Application; Data Validation;
