Abstract

Abstrak Dalam konstuksi sebuah wacana senantiasa terdapat unsur bahasa yang dilesapkan atau dihilangkan penulisnya. Unsur bahasa yang dilesapkan itu bisa berupa kata, frasa, atau klausa yang menduduki fungsi sintaksis tertentu. Kajian tentang pelesapan unsur bahasa Indonesia dianggap urgen mengingat hingga saat ini pola pelesapan bahasa Indonesia belum banyak diwacanakan di dalam kajian-kajian kebahasaan, juga belum dibakukan di dalam tata bahasa baku bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pola pelesapan unsur bahasa Indonesia, sebuah studi kasus pada kolom opini Kompas. Pengumpulan data penelitian ini memanfaatkan metode simak yang diterapkan melalui teknik baca dan catat. Dalam analisis data digunakan metode analisis konten yang diterapkan melalui beberapa langkah, yakni inventarisasi, identifikasi, klasifikasi, dan deskripsi data. Hasil penelitian ini dideskripsikan sebagaimana berikut. Pertama, dalam kolom opini Kompas ditemukan pola pelesapan berupa kategori. Pada tataran kategori ditemukan pola pelesapan berupa nomina dan verba yang dilesapkan secara kataforis dan anaforis. Kedua, dalam kolom opini Kompas ditemukan juga pola pelesapan pada kalimat koordinatif berupa (1) pelesapan subjek, (2) pelesapan subjek sekaligus predikat, dan (3) pelesapan objek. Ketiga, dalam kolom opini Kompas disibak bahwa pola pelesapan unsur bahasa pada kalimat subordinatif berupa (1) pelesapan subjek pada klausa anak dan (2) pelesapan subjek pada klausa induk. Dalam kasus tertentu, pelesapan pada kalimat subordinatif bersifat lebih kompleks, yakni terjadinya pelesapan subjek pada induk dan anak kalimat, juga pelesapan subjek dan predikat pada anak-anak kalimat. Abstract In the construction of a discourse, there is always an element of language that the author erases or removes. The language elements that are applied can be words, phrases, or clauses that occupy certain syntactic functions. The study of the immersion of elements of the Indonesian language is considered urgent considering that until now the pattern of immersion in Indonesian has not been much discussed in linguistic studies, nor has it been standardized in the standard grammar of the Indonesian language. This study aims to describe the pattern of impregnation of Indonesian elements, a case study in the Kompas opinion column. The data collection of this research utilizes the observation method which is applied through reading and note-taking techniques. In data analysis, the content analysis method is used which is applied through several steps, namely inventory, identification, classification, and data description. The results of this study are described as follows. First, in the Kompas opinion column found a pattern of infiltration in the form of categories. At the category level, there is a pattern of penetration in the form of nouns and verbs which are applied cataphorically and anaphorically. Second, in the opinion column of Kompas, there are also patterns of infiltration in coordinative sentences in the form of (1) subject infiltration, (2) subject as well as predicate infiltration, and (3) object penetration. Third, in the opinion column of Kompas, it is revealed that the pattern of embracing language elements in subordinative sentences is in the form of (1) immersion of the subject in the child clause and (2) penetrating the subject in the parent clause. In certain cases, the impingement of subordinate sentences is more complex, namely the occurrence of the subject and the predicate to the subordinate sentences.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dampak literasi membaca dongeng pada peningkatan minat baca Anak-anak Kampung Ka Sama. Adapun penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Data berupa minat baca dan sumber data adalah anak-anak Kampung Ka Sama. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, angket, wawancara, dan FGD. Adapun hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat dampak positif antara literasi membaca dongeng dan minat membaca anak-anak Kampung Ka sama. Anak-anak menunjukan peningkatan persepsi, motivasi, prilaku positif pada bacaan. Kegemaran membaca mulai meningkat sedikit demi sedikit. Berdasarkan hal tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa literasi membaca dongeng dapat meningkatkan minat baca pada anak-anak Kampung Ka Sama.

Abstract

Language politeness is one of the crucial issues, especially by public figures in public spaces. This is because he is a role model for the general public. Moreover, a public figure who wants to become the number one person in Indonesia. This research examines language politeness from the perspective of Leech's politeness maxims. The purpose of this study is to describe the language politeness practiced by Prabowo Subianto in the closing statement of the 2024 presidential candidate debate. The type of this research is qualitative descriptive method. The data collection method uses tapping, listening, and recording techniques. Based on the data, out of 25 sentences in the closing statement, 20 or 80% of the identified data fulfill the principles of politeness. While 20% are neutral. Based on the main ideas, out of 10 main ideas, there are 8 or 80% of them are identified as polite speech, while 2 or 20% of the main ideas are neutral. Based on Leech's maxims of politeness, there are six forms of politeness shown in the speech, namely tact maxim, generosity maxim, approbation maxim, modesty maxim, agreement maxim, sympath maxim.

Abstract

Vocabulary in language learning is a crucial component that needs to be mastered. This research aims to explore the application of the mind map method integrated with a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach in Indonesian language learning. Additionally, this study describes the use of digital media that can support the implementation of the mind map method and examines the challenges, solutions, and opportunities in applying this method in Indonesian language education. This research employs a library research methodology. The data consists of secondary sources, including scientific journal articles, books, proceedings, theses, and dissertations. Data collection is conducted by tracing, identifying, and selecting literature that meets predefined criteria. The mind map method is an innovative and effective learning approach for improving vocabulary acquisition. The incorporation of supporting technologies such as MindMeister, Ayoa, XMind, and similar applications enhances the learning experience, making it more engaging and interactive. Although challenges exist in its implementation—such as time constraints, technical difficulties, and varying skill levels among students these obstacles can be mitigated through solutions like training, effective time management, and collaborative learning. Furthermore, the opportunities offered by this method are significant, extending beyond basic vocabulary mastery to fostering the development of more complex language skills. ABSTRAKKosa kata dalam pembelajaran bahasa adalah bagian yang sangat penting untuk dikuasai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi penerapan metode peta pikiran dipadukan dengan pendekatan berbasis Problem-Based Learning (PBL) dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia, selain itu penelitian ini juga  mendeskrisikan media digital yang dapat digunakan dalam penerapan métode peta pikiran, dan mendeksripsikan tantangan, solusi, dan peluang dalam penerapan metode peta pikiran dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kepustakaan. Data penelitian berupa sumber informasi sekunder yang mencakup artikel jurnal ilmiah, buku, prosiding, tesis, dan disertasi. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menelusuri, mengidentifikasi, dan memilih literatur yang sesuai dengan kriteria. Metode peta pikiran merupakan pendekatan pembelajaran yang inovatif dan efektif untuk meningkatkan penguasaan kosa kata. Penggunaan teknologi pendukung seperti MindMeister, Ayoa, XMind, dan aplikasi sejenis semakin memperkaya pengalaman belajar yang  menarik dan interaktif. Meskipun terdapat tantangan dalam penerapannya, seperti keterbatasan waktu, kesulitan teknis, dan tingkat keterampilan siswa yang beragam, solusi seperti pelatihan, pengelolaan waktu yang baik, dan pembelajaran kolaboratif dapat mengatasi hambatan tersebut. Di sisi lain, peluang yang ditawarkan oleh metode ini sangat signifikan, tidak hanya untuk penguasaan kosa kata dasar tetapi juga untuk pengembangan kemampuan berbahasa yang lebih kompleks.

Abstract

The interplay between culture and language is a central theme in anthropological linguistics. Culture encompasses values, beliefs, norms, and traditions passed down through generations, and language plays a fundamental role in expressing and preserving these cultural elements. This paper explores the reciprocal relationship between language and culture, illustrating how language not only reflects but also shapes the social and cultural realities of a community. By examining various examples, such as the use of honorifics in Japanese culture and the transmission of oral traditions in indigenous communities, the study highlights the role of language as a medium for cultural continuity. Additionally, it delves into how cultural changes, such as technological advancements, lead to the evolution of language, especially in the development of new vocabulary. Through this analysis, the paper aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of how language and culture mutually influence each other, facilitating the ongoing process of cultural preservation and transformation.

Abstract

Kekerasan terhadap Perempuan dalam Novel “Mimi Lan Mintuna” Karya Remy Sylado. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk kekerasan dan faktor-faktor penyebab terjadinya kekerasan pada tokoh-tokoh perempuan dalam novel Mimi Lan Mintuna karya Remy Sylado. Penelitian ini berbentuk deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada beberapa bentuk kekerasan, yaitu kekerasan fisik dan psikis, kekerasan nyata dan tersembunyi, kekerasan personal dan struktural, dan kekerasan berdasarkan area. Ada dua faktor penyebab kekerasan terhadap perempuan, yaitu faktor internal dan faktor ekternal

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze forms of cultural identity crisis in contemporary Manggarai folk songs circulating through social media. The study uses a qualitative approach with Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis method and Bhabha's Cultural Hybridity theory to examine the relationship between song lyrics, social practices, and the use of cultural symbols. The results of this study indicate that the cultural identity crisis is reflected in ambivalent discourse and the use of traditional symbols in new forms that are inconsistent with their original meanings. Cultural symbols that were once sacred now appear in the context of emotional expression, social humor, and digital entertainment. This phenomenon shows a shift in meaning and function, where society is no longer in a position of established identity, but instead in a space of negotiation between tradition and modernity. Local music in the digital era has become an important arena for responding to social and economic pressures and the influence of media algorithms. This study concludes that cultural expression through songs reflects the dynamics of constantly changing identities. Recommendations for further research include expanding the study to other musical genres or different cultural contexts to understand the transformation of cultural identity in the broader digital landscape.
