Abstract

White oyster mushroom cultivation in Indonesia faces obstacles to the efficiency of the planting media sterilization process (baglog), especially for medium-scale farmers. This research aims to design a steamer oven with a capacity of 1,200 baglogs that is efficient and according to operational needs in the field. The method used is a theoretical simulation-based engineering design, including the analysis of energy needs, steam capacity, oven dimensions, and sterilization time. The oven design uses a water tube type boiler system that is integrated with the combustion chamber and equipped with a one-way steam circulation system. The simulation results showed that the sterilization process could be completed in ±4.73 hours with better fuel efficiency compared to conventional methods. These findings show significant potential in increasing the productivity and efficiency of the oyster mushroom cultivation process. However, further implementation through prototyping and field trials is required to validate the actual performance of the tool. This design is expected to be a reference for simple technology-based farming tool innovation in the agricultural sector.

Abstract

Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan menjadi salah satu program pengembangan diri terutama ditujukan untuk pengembangan kreativitas dan bimbingan karier. Prakerin (Praktek Kerja Industri) adalah kegiatan pendidikan, pelatihan dan pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan di Dunia Usaha atau Dunia Industri dalam upaya pendekatan ataupun untuk meningkatkan mutu siswa-siswi Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) dengan kompetensi siswa sesuai bidangnya dan juga menambah bekal untuk masa-masa mendatang guna memasuki dunia kerja yang semakin banyak dan ketat persaingannya seperti masa sekarang ini. Beberapa hal yang biasanya dicemaskan meliputi kesehatan, relasi sosial, ujian dan kondisi lingkungan. Kecemasan dalam menghadapi dunia kerja ini dapat menurunkan performa kerja atau bahkan lebih buruk lagi. kecemasan dapat menyebabkan takut berbicara di depan umum, takut berinteraksi dengan sosok penting pada perusahaan, takut dalam mengambil tantangan baru, takut sehingga terlihat gelisah dan cemas.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh efikasi diri terhadap kecemasan dalam menghadapi dunia kerja siswa SMKN 4 malang. Berdasarkan hasil analisis didapatkan bahwa 53,2% kecemasan menghadapi dunia kerja dipengaruhi oleh efikasi diri, sedangkan sisanya yaitu sebesar 46,8% kecemasan menghadapi dunia kerja dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini. gambaran singkat masalah yang diteliti.

Abstract

The success of a company, especially in the manufacturing industry, is closely linked to the performance of each department. The final objective of this research is to determine KPIs, measure department performance on each KPI based on the perspective of a Balanced Scorecard-based performance assessment approach, and then determine achievements. The process of generating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) commences with conducting unstructured interviews to get KPIs for each perspective. Subsequently, a survey was devised to conduct a systematic evaluation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each perspective, employing the Analytical Hierarchy Process methodology. The computations yielded weights for the four perspectives: financial, customer, learning, and internal business process. Each perspective was assigned a weight value of 0.25, 0.50, 0.125, and 0.125, respectively.

Abstract

The tobacco industry is one of the manufacturing sectors that generates hazardous and toxic waste (B3) from various production, maintenance, and utility support activities. This waste exhibits hazardous and toxic characteristics. In practice, some tobacco industries have established Temporary Storage Facilities (TPS) for B3 waste; however, not all comply with the technical requirements stipulated by current regulations. This study aims to design a TPS for B3 waste that aligns with Government Regulation No. 22 of 2021 and Ministry of Environment and Forestry Regulation No. 6 of 2021. The research methods include literature review, direct observation of two existing TPS, and the design of a new TPS for an industry that does not yet have such a facility. The results show that the hazardous waste generated in the tobacco industry includes flammable liquids, flammable solids, corrosive substances, environmentally hazardous materials, and toxic substances. Based on the analysis, the proposed TPS has an area of 18.55 m² with a capacity of 55.65 m³, and is equipped with packaging facilities consisting of three iron drums (100 liters), two HDPE plastic containers (100 liters), and one jumbo bag (200 liters). Additional design elements include 7.09 m² of ventilation area, a spill channel measuring 0.2 m × 0.25 m, and a storage tank of 0.4 m × 0.4 m × 0.4 m. Supporting facilities comprise one unit of a 6 kg fire extinguisher, one unit of sink/eyewash station, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and one first aid kit.
