Abstract

This study is motivated by the low level of student learning activeness in Islamic Religious Education (PAI), which is still dominated by teacher-centered learning approaches. The purpose of this study is to conceptually analyze the effectiveness of the Time Token and Talking Stick learning models in improving student learning activeness. This study employs a qualitative approach using a library research method by reviewing relevant scientific literature from the last five years. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the Time Token model effectively enhances learning activeness through equitable participation in classroom discussions. Meanwhile, the Talking Stick model improves students’ cognitive readiness, confidence, and spontaneous participation. Comparatively, both models have distinct yet complementary characteristics: Time Token emphasizes equitable participation, while Talking Stick focuses on cognitive readiness. The integration of these models contributes to creating active, dialogic, and meaningful PAI learning.

Abstract

Pedagogical innovation in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) is inevitable amidst the challenges of globalization and the industrial revolution 4.0. This study aims to analyze the forms of 21st-century PAI pedagogical innovation, its implementation in educational institutions, and its impact on strengthening students' character. The research employs a qualitative approach with library research. Data analysis techniques use the Miles & Huberman model through data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that PAI pedagogical innovations encompass three main pillars: integration of digital technology (e-learning, AI, multimedia), application of active learning models (Active Learning, PjBL, Discovery Learning), and contextual approaches linking material with students' social realities. The impact of these innovations is proven significant in improving learning quality (cognitive, affective, psychomotor) and strengthening religious character such as honesty, responsibility, tolerance, and spirituality. Optimal implementation requires synergistic support from the teacher's role as innovator, holistic curriculum integration, adequate infrastructure, and a conducive learning environment. This study recommends strengthening teachers' digital literacy and sustainable policies from educational institutions to maximize the potential of pedagogical innovation in shaping morally noble and globally competitive generations.

Abstract

This study examines the strategy of internalizing discipline values through an integrated point system at Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor Campus 7 Kalianda, South Lampung. The research background involves serious problems related to student discipline, including tardiness, absenteeism, and violations of internal pesantren rules. This study aims to analyze the process of internalizing discipline values, the strategies applied, and the impact of the integrated point system on the formation of students' disciplined character. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with caregivers, teachers, OPPM administrators, and students, as well as documentation analysis. The results show that the integrated point system at Gontor Campus 7 is implemented through POACE management functions (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling, Evaluating) managed by the Modern Pesantren Student Organization (OPPM). The internalization process includes three stages: introduction of rules, habituation, and continuous supervision. Forms of reward include praise, reduction of violation points, and granting of leadership responsibilities, while punishment is educative such as additional tasks, special coaching, and temporary revocation of rights. The impact of this system is proven significant in improving student discipline, reducing the number of violations, and creating a conducive pesantren environment. This study recommends strengthening the socialization of the point system to new students and developing a digital-based system to improve transparency and efficiency.
