Abstract

Coral reef degradation in the coastal areas of the Aru Islands due to overexploitation and coastal waste pollution has become an urgent environmental issue that requires innovative and participatory approaches. This community service activity was conducted from February to March 2026, with the peak activity on April 1, 2026, at Wangel Beach, Aru Islands Regency. The purpose of this activity was to enhance the knowledge and skills of coastal communities in coral reef restoration through training and the implementation of Bioreeftek techniques based on the utilization of coastal waste. The methods employed included a socialization program themed “Save the Reefs, Secure Aru’s Future,” online training on Bioreeftek media preparation, and direct practice in constructing and deploying the media in coastal waters. The activity involved approximately 50 participants, including coastal residents, youth groups, and local fishermen. The results indicated an improvement in community understanding and skills in processing coastal waste into environmentally friendly coral transplantation media. A total of four Bioreeftek units were successfully constructed and deployed in waters with potential as snorkeling tourism sites. This activity demonstrates that Bioreeftek is an effective innovation for coral reef restoration as well as a strategy for community empowerment. Therefore, this approach is important to be developed as a sustainable model for coastal ecosystem conservation.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika melalui pendekatan yang menyenangkan. Hal tersebut di dasari banyak siswa SD Negeri 4 Dobo mengalami kesulitan memahami dan menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika, sehingga dibutuhkan strategi kreatif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan minat belajar mereka..  Metode yang digunakan meliputi permainan matematika, diskusi kelompok, dan latihan soal yang dikemas secara kreatif agar siswa lebih mudah memahami konsep serta strategi penyelesaian soal cerita. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman siswa terhadap langkah-langkah penyelesaian soal cerita, kemampuan analisis masalah, dan minat belajar matematika. Workshop ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model pembelajaran inovatif yang mendukung pengembangan kemampuan problem solving siswa sekolah dasar. Kata Kunci: Matematika Kreatif, Soal Cerita, SD Negeri 04 Dobo   Abstract This community service activity aims to improve students’ critical and creative thinking skills in solving mathematical word problems through an engaging and enjoyable approach. This initiative is based on the fact that many students at SD Negeri 4 Dobo experience difficulties in understanding and solving mathematical word problems, indicating the need for creative strategies to enhance their comprehension and learning interest. The methods used include mathematical games, group discussions, and practice exercises designed creatively so that students can more easily understand concepts and problem-solving strategies. The results of the activity show an improvement in students’ understanding of the steps involved in solving word problems, their problem analysis skills, and their interest in learning mathematics. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis manajemen pengembangan kompetensi profesional guru dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di Sekolah Dasar Kristen Wangel. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Informan penelitian meliputi kepala sekolah dan guru di Sekolah Dasar Kristen Wangel. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen pengembangan kompetensi profesional guru di Sekolah Dasar Kristen Wangel dilaksanakan melalui perencanaan program pelatihan, kegiatan workshop, supervisi akademik, serta partisipasi guru dalam kegiatan pengembangan profesi. Pelaksanaan program tersebut memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pedagogik dan profesional guru dalam proses pembelajaran. Namun demikian, masih terdapat beberapa kendala seperti keterbatasan fasilitas, waktu, serta kesempatan mengikuti pelatihan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan dukungan yang berkelanjutan dari pihak sekolah maupun pemangku kepentingan dalam mengoptimalkan pengembangan kompetensi profesional guru guna meningkatkan mutu pendidikan.Kata Kunci : Pengembangan Kompetensi Profesional Guru, Mutu Pendidikan, Sekolah Dasar

Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of teaching materials with the Math Adventure approach to improving students' Numeracy Literacy skills in the Two-Variable Linear Equation System (SPLDV) material. The method used is a pre-experimental design with a one-group pre-test-post-test design, involving 33 eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Dobo. Data were collected through a Numeracy Literacy ability test. The results of the study showed a significant increase in students' Numeracy Literacy skills after the application of teaching materials that had been explored with the Math Adventure approach, with an average score increasing from 41.58 to 83.27 and an average N-Gain value of 0.70. A total of 51.62% of students reached the Very Advanced category and 48.38% in the Advanced category. The results of the paired sample t-test showed a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test (p < 0.05). Thus, the integration of exploration of teaching materials with the Math Adventure approach has proven effective in improving students' Numeracy.
