Abstract

This study is a classroom action research study that aims to improve the IPAS learning motivation of Grade IV students at SD Inpres 12/79 Biru 1, Bone Regency, through the Two Stay Two Stray cooperative learning model. The problem addressed in this study was the low learning motivation of students, as indicated by limited participation, attention, and interaction during the learning process, which was caused by the dominance of the lecture method and the limited opportunities for students to ask questions or express opinions. Data were collected through observation and questionnaires. The data analysis techniques in this study included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that students’ learning motivation in Cycle I indicated that 12 out of 20 students achieved the success indicators, with a percentage of 60% (Fair), whereas in Cycle II, 18 out of 20 students achieved the success indicators, with a percentage of 90% (Good). The percentage of teacher activity in Cycle I reached 76.19% (Fair), and in Cycle II it reached 90.47% (Good). The percentage of student activity in Cycle I reached 71.42% (Fair), and in Cycle II it reached 85.71% (Good). Thus, it can be concluded that the Two Stay Two Stray cooperative learning model is effective in improving the IPAS learning motivation of Grade IV students at SD Inpres 12/79 Biru 1, Bone Regency

Data were collected through teacher activity observation sheets, student activity observation sheets, and student learning interest questionnaires. The data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the implementation of the Project-Based Learning model improved students’ learning interest in visual arts. Teacher activity increased from 72.22% in Cycle I to 85.25% in Cycle II, while student activity increased from 70.08% in Cycle I to 84.42% in Cycle II. Students’ learning interest also improved, as shown by the decrease in the number of students in the low category and the increase in students in the high and very high categories. These findings indicate that Project-Based Learning can create a more active, creative, collaborative, and meaningful learning process. Therefore, the Project-Based Learning model can be used as an alternative strategy to improve students’ learning interest in visual arts at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project, or P5, at SD Negeri 19 Toro, Kecamatan Tanete Riattang Timur, Kabupaten Bone. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The informants included the principal, homeroom teachers of Grades I, II, IV, and V, and student representatives. The data were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the implementation of P5 at SD Negeri 19 Toro had been carried out but was not yet fully optimal. The implementation was analyzed through three main aspects: planning, implementation, and evaluation. In the planning stage, the school had determined project themes, arranged the schedule, formed a facilitator team, and prepared project modules. In the implementation stage, P5 was carried out using a thematic approach and a block system through activities such as gardening, waste recycling, and introducing traditional Bugis food. In the evaluation stage, teachers assessed students’ participation, cooperation, creativity, and project products through observation, reflection, presentation, and documentation. However, several obstacles were found, including the lack of special training for teachers, limited facilities and infrastructure, varied student readiness, and limited parental involvement. Therefore, the implementation of P5 at SD Negeri 19 Toro can be categorized as being in the developing stage. Further improvement is needed in teacher training, project planning, supporting facilities, and parental involvement so that P5 can be implemented more effectively and meaningfully for students.
