Abstract

Octopus crackers in Linau Village are an important part of the culinary culture of the people of Kaur Regency. This needs to be managed for business sustainability. This study aims to analyze the level of sustainability and factors affecting the sustainability of octopus cracker MSMEs in Linau Village, Maje District, Kaur Regency. The research method used was a survey method with a census sampling technique of 12 octopus cracker MSME actors. The data were analyzed descriptively to determine the level of sustainability and using multiple linear regression analysis to test the effect of independent variables on dependent variables. The results showed that the sustainability level of octopus cracker MSMEs in Linau Village was in the “very high” category with an average score of 83.73. The factors influencing the sustainability of octopus cracker MSMEs in Linau Village, Maje District, Kaur Regency were raw material availability (X1), product innovation (X2), production technology (X3), Market access (X5), Environmental awareness and sustainability (X6), while the business management variable (X4) has no effect on the sustainability of the octopus cracker business in Linau Village, Maje District, Kaur Regency.

Abstract

Riak Siabun Village, Seluma Regency, one of the areas in Bengkulu Province has a lot of potential for palm kernel shells. In the last few years, one of the palm shell briquette MSMEs in this village has shown that waste from palm shells can be utilized and has economic value after being made into palm shell briquettes. This influence not only covers economic aspects, but also social aspects. The aim of this research is to evaluate the social impact of the existence of palm shell briquette MSMEs in Riak Sibun Village, Seluma Regency and to evaluate the economic impact of the existence of palm shell briquette MSMEs on the community in Riak Siabun Village, Seluma Regency. The method used is a qualitative method. The results of the research show that the social impact felt by the people of Riak Siabun Village is living more productively using time, this was approved by 78 people, reducing waste was approved by 70 people, and improving lifestyle was approved by 63 people. Meanwhile, the economic impact of causing labor absorption was approved by 83 people, then increased employment was approved by 81 people and the addition of alternative energy was approved by 75 people. Community income from the sale of palm shell waste to MSMEs of palm shell briquettes is IDR. 2,800,000/ month. These results were obtained through interviews with the community.

Abstract

The abundant harvest in Babatan Ilir Village has created marketing challenges for tilapia farmers. To address this issue, the farmers have established a partnership with UD Maju Bersama, which provides seeds, feed, and business capital, as well as purchases their production output. This study aims to analyze the partnership pattern between UD Maju Bersama and tilapia farmers in the grow-out phase of tilapia farming, as well as to assess the level of farmer satisfaction with the agribusiness partnership in Babatan Ilir Village, Seginim District, South Bengkulu Regency. This research employs a quantitative descriptive method using Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) and Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI). The results show that one of the partnership models between tilapia farmers and UD Maju Bersama is the Agribusiness Operational Cooperation (KOA) scheme. Under this model, UD Maju Bersama assists farmers in marketing their harvest and provides feed, seeds, and necessary medicines. Additionally, in accordance with the agreement, farmers who provide land and labor are required to sell their harvest to UD Maju Bersama. Using the IPA method, the study found an average satisfaction level of 88.86%, while the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) of tilapia farmers toward UD Maju Bersama reached 82.67%. This indicates that the CSI falls within the range of 81% to 100%, which is categorized as "very satisfied."

Abstract

PT. Tobo Agriculture Group Bengkulu City, located in Jenggalu Subdistrict, Bengkulu City, is a business engaged in hydroponic melon cultivation. The objectives of this study are (1) to analyze the financials of melon farming at PT. Tobo Agriculture Group Bengkulu City, (2) to analyze the feasibility of melon farming at PT. Tobo Agriculture Group Bengkulu City. The research method used is a quantitative method with financial and farm feasibility analysis. The interest rate used is 10% based on the average commercial bank interest rate in 2022–2024. The results showed that revenue increased from Rp231.480.000 in 2022 to Rp502.882.000 in 2024 with an average income of Rp152.744.369. The results indicate that melon farming is financially feasible and has the potential to be developed. Based on: (a) the obtained R/C Ratio value of 1.88. (b) NPV value of Rp381,824,335.49 (>0). (c) IRR of 72.82%. (d) Gross B/C of 1.93 (>1). (e) PBP value of 2 months 22 days indicates relatively quick capital recovery.

Abstract

Female farmers are women who are actively involved in agricultural activities and contribute to the family economy. This study aims to analyze the role and contribution of female farmers to family income in oil palm farming in Bunga Mas Village, Kikim Timur District, Lahat Regency. The method used is descriptive with quantitative and qualitative approaches, involving 61 respondents through a census method. The results show that female farmers play a role in land clearing (26.23%), collecting loose fruit (36.07%), fertilizing (18.03%), and spraying (19.67%). The contribution of female farmers' income reached 53.18% with an average of IDR 3,123,214 per month. These findings confirm that female farmers play a significant role in improving the welfare and economic resilience of oil palm farming families.

Abstract

Salted fish commodities play a strategic role in increasing the added value of the surplus of fresh fish production in Bengkulu City. However, supply dynamics influenced by seasons, weather, production costs, and distribution chains, amidst high market demand, cause price fluctuations, so a comprehensive analysis of price determinants is important to maintain market stability and encourage increased welfare of coastal communities. This study aims to analyze the price level of salted fish and the factors that influence the price of salted fish on Baai Island, Bengkulu City. This study uses a quantitative method with a descriptive approach and multiple linear regression analysis. Data are obtained from 49 respondents consisting of consumers, traders, salted fish processors, and fishermen. The independent variables include product quality, consumer demand, production costs, and raw material availability, while the dependent variable is the price of salted fish. The results show that the price level of salted fish on Baai Island, Bengkulu City is Rp 23,503, which is included in the moderate category. The results of multiple linear regression analysis show that all variables influence the price of salted fish on Baai Island, Bengkulu City, they are product quality factors (XI), consumer demand (X2), production costs (X3), and availability of raw materials (X4).
