Abstract

This study was motivated by issues related to teacher performance, namely low work initiative, limited proficiency in using educational technology, and suboptimal communication. One factor influencing these conditions is the principal’s transformational leadership style. This study aims to determine the level of teacher performance, the level of the principal’s transformational leadership style, and their relationship. The research method used was quantitative and correlational. The population consisted of 201 teachers. The sample comprised 140 teachers selected using the Cochran formula and proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire with a Likert scale and analyzed using simple linear regression, t-tests, and the coefficient of determination with the aid of SPSS version 27. The results indicate that both teacher performance and the principal’s transformational leadership style fall into the high category, with a percentage of 83%. There is a positive and significant influence of the principal’s transformational leadership style on teacher performance, with a calculated t-value of 9.649 > the critical t-value of 1.977 and a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. The coefficient of determination showed an R-squared value of 0.403, meaning that the principal’s transformational leadership style contributed 40.3% to teacher performance, while the remainder was influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study.

Abstract

This study aims to describe teachers' perceptions of educational facility management in public senior high schools in Basa Ampek Balai Tapan District, covering aspects of procurement, utilization, maintenance, inventory, and supervision. The study used a quantitative descriptive approach. The study population consisted of 92 teachers from public senior high schools in Basa Ampek Balai Tapan District, with a sample of 78 teachers selected using proportional random sampling techniques. The research instrument was a Likert scale questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using the average technique (mean). The results showed that teachers' perceptions of educational facility management were generally in the good category with an average score of 4.13. The procurement aspect obtained an average score of 3.80 (good), utilization 3.44 (sufficient), maintenance 4.56 (good), inventory 4.47 (good), and supervision 4.40 (good). The maintenance aspect was the indicator with the highest score, while utilization received the lowest score. These findings indicate that the management of educational facilities in schools has been running well, but the utilization of facilities still needs to be improved so that the available facilities can be used optimally to support the learning process.

Abstract

Objective: his study aims to describe students' perceptions of teacher leadership in learning at SMA Negeri 1 Enam Lingkung. Methods: This research employed a quantitative descriptive approach. The population consisted of 920 students in grades X, XI, and XII, while 287 students were selected using proportional stratified random sampling. Data were collected through a valid and reliable Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics by calculating the mean score. Results: The findings revealed that students' perceptions of teacher leadership in learning were categorized as Good, with an overall mean score of 4.18. Classroom management obtained a mean score of 4.29, motivation and influence on students 4.33, implementation of active and effective learning 4.16, and variation and innovation in teaching methods 3.93, indicating consistently positive perceptions across all indicators. Novelty: This study provides empirical evidence on teacher leadership from students' perspectives at the senior high school level. The findings offer valuable insights for teachers and school administrators to strengthen instructional leadership, improve teaching practices, support effective learning processes, and serve as a reference for future educational research and school policy development in similar educational contexts.
