Abstract

The rapid expansion of Islamic finance in Indonesia has generated significant legal ambiguity in distinguishing civil contractual breaches from criminal economic misconduct under Sharia-compliant transactions. This ambiguity weakens legal certainty, complicates judicial enforcement, and challenges judges, regulators, and Sharia supervisory institutions in addressing increasingly complex financial misconduct involving corporate structures, digital finance, and systemic fraud. The particular study aimed to reconstruct Islamic criminal liability for economic crimes through a maqāṣid-based framework applicable to Indonesia’s contemporary Sharia finance system. Employing a normative-interpretive approach, the study integrated philosophical-normative, comparative, and functionalist-pragmatic analyses of classical fiqh jinayah, uṣul fiqh, KHES, DSN-MUI fatwas, and contemporary legal scholarship on economic crime and corporate liability. The findings revealed that the distinction between civil and criminal liability fundamentally depends on two interrelated criteria, namely intentional corruption (qaṣd ifsad) and systemic or compound harm (darar ‘amm/murakkab). Based on these findings, the study formulated the “Three-Pillar Framework” and the “Tiered Maqasidi Model” as systematic mechanisms for determining criminal liability in contemporary Islamic economic activities. The study contributed to the development of fiqh jinayah and maqāṣid syarī‘ah by extending Islamic criminal liability to corporate, participatory, and systemic economic crimes while providing an operational framework for judges, regulators, and Sharia supervisory institutions. Accordingly, the proposed framework offered a systematic foundation for distinguishing civil liability from criminal responsibility in contemporary Islamic finance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of using Wordwall learning media on the learning outcomes of Akidah Akhlak for grade XII students at MA YTI Nguling Pasuruan. The background of this research is the low learning outcomes caused by conventional teaching methods that are less interactive and do not align with the characteristics of the digital generation. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population consisted of 19 students who were selected as the research sample through purposive sampling. The research instruments included a multiple-choice test of 20 questions that had passed validity and reliability tests (Cronbach's Alpha = 0.889), as well as a student perception questionnaire of 20 statements using a Likert scale. Data analysis techniques included descriptive statistics, Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, and N-Gain Score analysis. The results showed that: (1) students' learning outcomes before using Wordwall were in the low category with a mean pretest score of 59.21; (2) students' learning outcomes after using Wordwall improved with a mean posttest score of 86.05, with 84.21% of students reaching the Minimum Mastery Criterion (KKM); (3) there was a significant effect of using Wordwall on Akidah Akhlak learning outcomes, as proven by the Wilcoxon test (Asymp. Sig. = 0.000 < 0.05). These results were reinforced by an average N-Gain score of 0.67 (medium category) and a student perception questionnaire score of 3.00 (high category).

Abstract

Background: Female-headed households in marginalized communities face complex challenges in understanding Islamic law and managing family economics, impacting household resilience and welfare. Purpose of the Study: This community service aims to enhance Islamic legal literacy and strengthen sharia-based economic capacity through local asset optimization. Methods: Using the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, this participatory action research involved field observation, interviews, and FGDs with 30 PEKKA in Wedi Village, Bojonegoro. Results: The program successfully identified three key asset clusters: social (pengajian groups), cultural (Islamic values), and economic (culinary, sewing, farming skills). ABCD strategy activated these assets, leading to the formation of the “Srikandi Salak” business group and multidimensional transformation.
