Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) on student academic achievement in the Entrepreneurship course at Akademi Refraksi Optisi Kartika Indera Persada for Academic Year 2025/2026, considering learning style as a moderating variable. A quantitative quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design was employed, involving the Regular Class (Semester IV) as the experimental group (n=27) implementing PBL and the GW Class (Semester III) as the control group (n=23) receiving conventional instruction. Learning outcomes were measured using a weighted final score comprising Attendance (15%), Project (10%), Quiz (5%), Assignment (10%), Midterm Exam/UTS (20%), and Final Exam/UAS (40%). Data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Levene's homogeneity test, and Mann-Whitney U test. Descriptive results showed mean final scores of 80.15 (SD=2.66) for the experimental class and 80.43 (SD=1.53) for the control class. Component-level analysis revealed significant differences in most individual components, with the experimental class outperforming in Project, Quiz, Assignment, UTS, and UAS, while the control class had higher attendance. Shapiro-Wilk confirmed non-normal distribution in both classes (p<0.05), and Levene's Test indicated heterogeneous variances (F=4.146, p=0.047). The Mann-Whitney U test yielded U=316.00 with p=0.911 (p>0.05), confirming H0: no statistically significant difference in aggregated final scores. Pedagogical implications and recommendations for future research are discussed.

Kesimpulannya, penerapan program promosi kesehatan berbasis peer education berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan dan sikap pencegahan hipertensi pada karyawan di PT Y Semarang Kata Kunci: Promosi Kesehatan, Pengetahuan, Sikap, Pencegahan Hipertensi, Karyawan ABSTRACT A healthy workplace is one where employees and management collaborate on continuous improvement to protect and promote health. Medical Check-Up (MCU) findings from 2022 at PT Y revealed a prevalence of chronic Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), specifically: hypertension (17%), abnormal blood sugar levels (16%), and heart or lung abnormalities (0.02%). Additionally, 57% of employees were categorized as obese based on Body Mass Index (BMI). Between January and December 2024, total working hours declined as sickness-related absenteeism rose by an average of 2.5%. This study aims to analyze the impact of a health promotion program on the knowledge and attitudes regarding hypertension prevention at PT Y. This research employed a quasi-experimental design with a control group pretest-posttest approach. The population consisted of 267 employees of PT Y Semarang, with a sample of 28 individuals selected through purposive sampling and divided into intervention and control groups. The results showed that prior to the intervention, 64.3% of participants had poor knowledge, which improved to 78.6% having sufficient knowledge following the program. Positive attitudes also increased significantly from 57.1% to 100%. Statistical analysis confirmed that the health promotion program had a significant effect on both knowledge ($p = 0.008$) and attitudes ($p = 0.015$) toward hypertension prevention. The implementation of a peer education-based health promotion program effectively improves knowledge and attitudes toward hypertension prevention among employees at PT Y Semarang. Keywords: Health Promotion, Knowledge, Attitude, Hypertension Prevention, Employess
