Abstract

This article aims to analyze the ontology and epistemology of revelation in the Qur'an through a critical study of classical and contemporary theological thought while integrating it with modern socio-religious perspectives. The research focuses on how revelation is understood as a source of absolute divine authority as well as an object of rational inquiry within the Islamic intellectual tradition. The study begins with the epistemological tension between the normative-theological approach, which emphasizes the sacredness of the text, and the academic-contextual approach that situates revelation within historical and social frameworks. In the era of globalization and digital transformation, shifts in religious authority and the emergence of new interpretive discourses make this discussion increasingly relevant for reaffirming the role of revelation in the lives of contemporary Muslims. This study employs a library research method by combining theological, philosophical, and sociological analyses. The primary data sources include works of classical and contemporary Muslim thinkers and literature related to the living Qur’an studies. The findings indicate that ontologically revelation continues to be understood as a transcendent divine kalam, while epistemologically it remains open to rational and contextual approaches without losing its sacred authority. The integration of revelation and reason reflects the dynamic nature of Islamic intellectual tradition that remains adaptive to social change. The study concludes by emphasizing the importance of a multidimensional approach in the study of revelation and recommends the development of integrative Islamic education.

Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of integrative curriculum management in Islamic boarding schools to bridge the dichotomy between religious and general education. It focuses on how curriculum integration is planned, implemented, and evaluated, as well as its impact on students’ competencies. A qualitative case study approach was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis involving six key informants. The findings reveal that integrative curriculum management is systematically carried out through synchronized planning, contextual learning practices, and continuous evaluation. This approach significantly strengthens students’ holistic competencies, including religious understanding, academic achievement, critical thinking, and moral character. The success of implementation is strongly influenced by leadership commitment, institutional culture, and collaborative teaching practices. In addition, adaptive strategies are proven effective in addressing resistance to change and maintaining curriculum relevance in the face of global challenges. However, inconsistencies at the instructional level indicate that integration has not been fully internalized by all educators. This study contributes an empirical model of integrative curriculum management in pesantren, offering a practical framework for educational reform that is both contextually grounded and globally relevant. Further research across diverse settings is recommended to enhance external validity.

Abstract

This study analyzes curriculum management in the habitualization of the dhuha prayer at MI Miftahul Akhlaqiyah in Semarang by examining the aspects of planning, implementation, supervision, and evaluation. The phenomenon in the field shows that the integration of the dhuha prayer into the curriculum has not been optimal because its practice still depends on the initiative of teachers and is not yet supported by structured regulations. This condition has implications for low consistency in implementation compared to other madrasahs that have implemented similar programs more routinely. Using a qualitative approach with case studies, data was collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving the head of the madrasah and teachers as the main informants. The findings indicate weaknesses in supervision that have resulted in inconsistent implementation, while the evaluations that have been conducted have not led to significant policy improvements. Overall, the results of the study emphasize the importance of strengthening curriculum governance so that the habit of performing the dhuha prayer can be implemented more consistently and contribute to the formation of the religious character of students.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the experience experienced by students in participating in the Field Work Practice (PKL) program at SMK Negeri 4 Semarang as part of industry based learning. The method used is phenomenological qualitative, focusing on the interpretation of students' subjective experiences on the process of planning, implementing, and evaluating street vendor programs. Participants consisted of five grade XII students from the departments of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Design and Animation who are undergoing street vendors in partner industries. Data was collected through interviews, participatory observations, and documentation, then analyzed to uncover the essential meaning of their experiences. The results of the study show that street vendors make a significant contribution to improving technical skills, discipline, responsibility, and adaptation to work culture. In addition, the findings reveal the importance of school support and industry advisors in shaping students' job readiness. The implications of this study confirm the need for a street vendor program management strategy with the Kirkpatrick model evaluation approach to ensure the effectiveness of developing students' competencies and productivity in the world of work. Further research is suggested to expand to various departments and regions to enrich understanding of the dynamics of street vendors in vocational high schools.

Abstract

The development of digital technology, especially Artificial Intelligence (AI), has brought significant changes in the world of education. This technology offers a wide range of opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of learning through the personalization of materials, analysis of student data, and the automation of learning evaluations. However, the implementation of AI in education also faces a number of challenges, such as inequality of access to digital infrastructure, low technological literacy among educators, and ethical issues related to the privacy and security of student data. This study aims to analyze the potential, challenges, and implications of the use of AI in the education system through a literature study approach. The research method used is a literature review by reviewing various scientific articles, research reports, and relevant academic publications in the 2020–2025 range. The data were analyzed descriptive-analytically to identify key themes related to the use of AI in learning. The results of the study show that AI has great potential in supporting more adaptive, interactive, and individual needs-based learning of students. However, the success of its implementation is highly dependent on the readiness of digital infrastructure, the technological competence of educators, and regulations that regulate the ethical use of technology. In addition, this study emphasizes that AI should be positioned as a supporting tool in the learning process, not as a substitute for the role of teachers. Therefore, the integration of AI in education needs to be carried out in a balanced manner while maintaining humanistic values in the learning process. The findings of this research are expected to contribute to the development of more inclusive and sustainable educational technology implementation policies and strategies

Abstract

This research aims to examine in depth the life history of the Prophet Muhammad SAW during the Medina period, as well as explore its relevance in the context of leadership and education today. The main issue studied is how the transformation of the Prophet's da'wah in Medina formed the foundation of a strong Islamic socio-political system, and how its values can be applied in the modern world of education. An important context of this issue is the lack of research that explicitly links the prophetic values of the Medina period with contemporary educational leadership. This research uses the library research method by examining primary sources such as Sirah Nabawiyah and other academic literature. The results of the study show that the Prophet's principles such as social justice, cross-group brotherhood, interfaith tolerance, and leadership regeneration are very relevant to build an inclusive, collaborative, and civilized education system. The conclusion of this study confirms that the Prophet's leadership in Medina is a transformative model that can be used as an example in managing educational institutions in the modern era. It is recommended that follow-up research be carried out with a field approach to test the implementation of these values in real practice

Abstract

This study aims to understand in depth the work motivation of teachers in intrinsic and extrinsic perspectives and their relation to learning performance in Andalusian Madrasas. This study uses a qualitative approach of case studies to explore teachers' real experiences, perceptions, and practices in carrying out their professional duties. The research subjects consisted of teachers in Andalusian Madrasas. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations and documentation, and its validity was tested through triangulation of sources and data collection techniques. The results show that intrinsic motivation, such as teaching satisfaction, and commitment to students, are the dominant factors in shaping effective learning performance. Meanwhile, extrinsic motivations such as institutional support, work environment, and reward systems play a role as a reinforcer in increasing teacher enthusiasm and professionalism. The interaction between the two types of motivation forms a teacher's work behavior that is reflective, innovative, and oriented towards learning quality. This study concludes that teachers' learning performance is not only influenced by external factors, but is highly determined by the intrinsic motivational strength possessed. The implications of this research contribute to the development of qualitative-based work motivation studies and become the basis for education managers in designing strategies to improve teacher motivation and performance that are more contextual and sustainable.
