Abstract

This research investigates the effect of entrepreneurial motivation and educational factors on students’ entrepreneurial intention within the USK entrepreneurship programme, with attitude towards entrepreneurship positioned as a mediating variable. A quantitative method was employed, utilizing path analysis through SmartPLS 4.0. The study involved 135 active students enrolled in the programme, selected using purposive sampling. The model assessment covered outer model evaluation, inner model testing, and hypothesis verification through the bootstrapping procedure. The findings reveal that both entrepreneurial motivation and educational factors positively influence entrepreneurial intention. Nevertheless, attitude towards entrepreneurship does not exert a direct effect on entrepreneurial intention, nor does it serve as a mediator between motivation, education, and intention. These results highlight that while motivation and education significantly contribute to fostering entrepreneurial intention, the role of entrepreneurial attitude is not always a determining psychological element in this context.

Abstract

This community service program addressed the limited access to clean water, environmental sanitation problems, and low disaster preparedness among communities affected by hydrometeorological disasters in Rancong Village, Kuta Blang District, Bireuen Regency. The program aimed to improve clean water access, restore the post-disaster living environment, strengthen disaster mitigation awareness, and support village administration through community data collection and mapping. A participatory community empowerment method was applied through field observation, informal interviews, community discussions, clean-up activities, installation of a clean water facility, disaster mitigation education, psychosocial activities for children, population data collection, and village mapping. The program was implemented from 2 to 21 February 2026 with a total of 207 effective student working hours. The results showed that the clean water installation was successfully used by the community, public facilities and residential areas became cleaner and safer, children gained basic disaster mitigation knowledge, and a village map was produced to support local planning.

Abstract

Limited access to nutritious animal-source food and the need to strengthen social solidarity remain relevant concerns among campus-related communities. This community service activity aimed to distribute qurban meat, improve food access, and strengthen social relationships between the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Syiah Kuala, and its surrounding community. The activity was conducted on May 30, 2026, using a campus-based Islamic philanthropy approach. Its stages included planning, beneficiary identification, animal slaughter, meat processing and packaging, distribution, documentation, and evaluation. A total of five cows and one goat, contributed by faculty members and their families, were slaughtered. The meat was distributed to administrative staff, retired personnel, and residents living around the faculty. The activity successfully provided direct food assistance while fostering care, solidarity, and institutional-community engagement. This initiative demonstrates that campus-based qurban can serve as a practical community service model supporting food access, social inclusion, and sustainable development goals.
