Abstract

Hospitalization is a process that for a reason of planning or emergency, which requires patients to stay in the hospital. Hospital patient care not only causes problems for the patient, but also for the family. The purpose of this study was to determine the family’s experience in dealing with hospitalization of critical patients in ICU Dr. Bratanata Hospital Jambi. This research is a qualitative research with phenomenology approach using Colaizzi model analysis which is implemented in Dr. Bratanata Hospital Jambi. Participants in this study were 5 participants with core family inclusion criteria who had been waiting for more than 7 days and were over 18 years old. Data collection techniques with in-depth interviews.The results of the study there is a Critical Hospitalization Patient Response in the ICU room for the family consisting of physical response include fatigue, body complaints and sleep disorders; Psychological responses include anxiety, tension, fear and sadness; Social responses include reduced communication and new experiences.

Abstract

ABSTRACTA febrile seizure is a seizure that occurs when an infant or child has a fever without central nervous system infection that occurs at temperatures over 380 C. a febrile seizure is seizure type most often encountered in childhood. This study aimed to determine the correlation of knowledge, attitude and mother’s motivation with behavior of febrile seizures prevention in toddlers’ age 1-5 years in the child’s room RSUD Raden Mattaher Jambi year 2017. This is a quantitative research by using cross sectional design, it used Accidental Sampling by using questionnaire instrument. This study analyzed as univariate and bivariate by using chi-square test with significant levels 95% (<0.05).The findings indicated that, 35 respondents as many as 19 (54.3%) have low knowledge, less good attitude as many as 20 (57.1%), less good motivation as many as 18 (51.4%) and less good prevention behavior 18 (51.4%). The result of chi-square test indicated that there is the correlation of knowledge, attitude and mother’s motivation with behavior of febrile seizures prevention in toddlers age 1-5 years in the child’s room RSUD Raden Mattaher Jambi year 2017 with p-value < 0.05 while the motivation, there is no correlation with behavior of febrile seizures prevention in toddlers age 1-5 years in the child’s room RSUD Raden Mattaher Jambi year 2017 p-value > 0.05. It is expected to RSUD Raden Mattaher Jambi is not only providing treatment but also providing health education periodically to increase of knowledge, attitude and mother’s motivation so the febrile seizures do not reoccur.

Abstract

Abortion is the cessation of pregnancy before the fetus be able to live outside the womb at less than 28 weeks of age, because most miscarriages are unknown and occur spontaneously. Factors that can cause of abortion are hypertension in pregnancy, anemia in pregnancy and the age of pregnant mother. This study aimed to determine the factor related to abortion at Raden Mattaher hospital Jambi province. This study was conducted on July 10 – 24, 2019 with total samples were 87 people. Sample used simple random sampling. The instrument used observation. Data analysed by using chi square test with a significance level () = 0.1 result of this study about the correlation of hypertension history in pregnancy with abortion indicated that ( p value = 0.209) it means that there is no correlation of hypertension history in pregnancy with abortion and there is anemia in pregnancy with abortion ( p value = 0.000), and the age of pregnant mother with abortion ( p value = 0.005) it means that there is the correlation of anemia in pregnancy and the age of pregnant mother with abortion at Raden Mattaher hospital Jambi province. It is concluded that there is no correlation between hypertension history in pregnancy with abortion and there is correlation between anemia in pregnancy and the age of pregnant mother with abortion

Abstract

Aging is a natural process that can not be avoided, running continuously, and continuously. Based on population projection data the number of elderly people will increase where the most number is found at the age of 60-64 years 94,012 people. Increasing age decreases bodily functions, decreased organ function and changes in blood pressure, therefore the elderly are advised to check their blood pressure regularly. As they age, blood pressure in the elderly will increase so that there is a higher risk of developing hypertension. Hypertension is a major health problem throughout the world, causing a high prevalence and is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease. Some things that need to be considered in an effort to control hypertension include regular exercise, adequate rest, medical, traditional, regulate diet and reduce salt consumption one teaspoon per day. The purpose of this study was to determine the determinants and factors associated with efforts to control hypertension in the elderly at PSTW Budi Luhur, Jambi City. The research method uses descriptive analysis design with cross sectional approach. Samples were conducted for the elderly with hypertension. The research instrument was in the form of questionnaire sheets by interview. The results obtained 40% of elderly people have a history of smoking, 45% are quite good in consuming food, 60% elderly with moderate activity and 60% elderly are good in controlling hypertension. The results of bivariate analysis showed that there was no correlation between determinant factors (smoking history, food consumption, physical activity) and hypertension control efforts in the elderly in PSTW Budi Luhur, Jambi City

Abstract

The quality of service can be determined from the performance of the nurse in providing nursing care. The success of the team method in carrying out the nursing process is determined by the ability of the team leader to assign tasks to team members and direct work to the team. This study aims  to knowing  the relationship between the role of the team leader and the performance of nurses in documenting nursing care at the Jambi Provincial Psychiatric Hospital. A quantitative method with a cross-sectional survey using self-administered questionnaires The sampling technique was total sampling so that the sample size was 106 nurseswith analysis using the chi square test. The data were analyzed using statistical software. This study investigates the role of team leaders and nurses' performance in documenting nursing care. the role of the team leader in documenting nursing care was 54.1% good. the performance of nurses in documenting nursing care was 53.2% good. The statistical test results showed that the p value (0,000) <0.05, which means that there is a significant relationship between the role of the team leader and the performance of nurses in nursing care documentation.This significant relationship explains that the role of the team leader will have a good influence on the documentation of nursing care carried out by the nurse in charge

Abstract

Patient safety is a system that must be implemented in hospitals. This is done by the government in an effort to prevent patient safety incidents from occurring. Based on the Lumenta report (2008) that in Indonesia from 145 reported incidents of near-injury (KNC) as many as 47.6% cases, unwanted events (KTD) as many as 46.2% cases, and others as many as 6.2% cases. . The KTD rate at Raden Mattaher Hospital in 2016 was 10 cases, increasing to 13 cases in 2017 and decreasing to 7 cases in 2018. Many factors affect the implementation of patient safety, namely internal and external factors. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with the implementation of 6 patient safety goals at Raden Mattaher Hospital Jambi. The design of this study used a cross-sectional study. The number of samples in this study were 80 nurses with proportional random sampling technique. The analysis used was univariate and bivariate analysis with Chi-square and Wilcoxon tests. The results of the analysis show that the average age is 33.19 years and the length of work is 9.39 years. A total of 71.2% are female, 82.5% have vocational education, 68.8% have sufficient knowledge, 56.2% are positive and 65% of respondents do not apply the 6 patient safety goals. The results of the bivariate analysis showed that there was a relationship between age, length of work and attitude with the implementation of the 6 patient safety goals.

Abstract

Distance learning is an alternative to learning in the COVID-19 pandemic era, one of which is by utilizing various learning applications where the educator factor, namely the lecturer, plays a major role. Lecturers must have special skills and abilities, including pedagogical competence, professional competence, personality competence and social competence. The learning carried out by lecturers is like the services provided to consumers or students. In providing services, of course, what must be considered is the quality of the service itself. The high and low quality of service can only be seen by students. When the quality of service exceeds the expectations thought by students, there will be a sense of satisfaction. The description of student satisfaction related to online learning performance by lecturers is very satisfying for all indicators of personality and social competence. The purpose of this study was to describe student satisfaction with online learning at Baiturahim College of Health Sciences. This research is a survey type research with a quantitative approach. The analysis in this study uses descriptive analysis method. The respondents of this study were students of the nursing science study program who took online lectures, namely 81 people which were held from October 2021 to February 2022. The results of the study were obtained. Most (56.8%) were not satisfied with online learning at STIKes Baiturahim. Suggestions for the STIkes Baiturahim Institution to increase the use of information technology in learning methods, especially online, by adjusting the development of information media.

Abstract

The incidence of hypertension has always increased from 13.50 percent in 2018 to 23.63 percent in 2020. Based on the report of cases of non-communicable diseases in Jambi City in 2021 regarding hypertension seen from 20 Health Centers, Putri Ayu Health Center reached 3,178 people with 1,184 male patients, lower than women with 1,994 patients. The high rate of hypertension in Legok Village is not compliant in taking hypertension medication. For this reason, it is necessary to carry out community service for the Legok Village community regarding Education on Medication Alarms (Amino) to Increase Compliance in Taking Hypertension Medication in Hypertension Patients. This service aims to provide education to the community on how to increase compliance in taking hypertension medication in hypertension patients. Community service was carried out on May 22, 2023 in Legok Village, Jambi City. The method in implementing this activity is providing education on how to improve compliance of hypertension sufferers in taking hypertension medication, Media for providing education on Medication Alarm using leaflets and ppt.. The method to improve the ability of hypertension sufferers in compliance with taking medication is with one of the SATUSEHAT Mobile Applications. The results show that there is an increase in knowledge and compliance in taking hypertension medication. It is hoped that hypertension sufferers can utilize the alarm in maintaining compliance with taking medication

Abstract

Laparotomy is a major surgical procedure, which involves incisions in the layers of the abdominal wall to obtain parts of the abdominal organs that are experiencing problems such as hemorrhage, perforation, cancer and obstruction. This research is a quantitative study conducted to determine the relationship between anxiety levels and pain intensity with the sleep quality of post-laparotomy patients in the inpatient room at Nurdin Hamzah Regional Hospital. The research design in this study is Cross Sectional. This research was conducted on December 5 2022 to January 5 2023 with a population of 144 with a sample of 30 respondents. The data collection method was carried out by filling out a questionnaire and univariate and bivariate analysis methods using the Chi-Square test. The results of the description of anxiety were 16 people (53.3%), the description of mild pain intensity was 15 people (50%), the Chi-Square test results obtained p value = 0.008 < (0.05), meaning there was There is a relationship between the level of anxiety and the sleep quality of patients after Laparotomy surgery in the Inpatient Room at Nurdin Hamzah Regional Hospital and the results of the Chi-Square test obtained a p value = 0.006 < (0.05), meaning that there is a relationship between pain intensity and sleep quality for patients after Laparotomy surgery. In the Inpatient Room at Nurdin Hamzah Regional Hospital, it is hoped that this research can provide a basis for knowledge regarding anxiety levels and sleep quality in patients after laparotomy surgery.

Abstract

Improving the degree of public health can be started by increasing sufficient knowledge about healthy lifestyles. A disease can be identified by a medical examination, not only providing education. This community service activity aims to increase public understanding of the importance of health and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. This activity was on November 4, 2022 at RT 39 house, Legok Village, Jambi City. Method of implementation of activities in the form of education about healthy lifestyles. Education provided in the form of providing material through lectures and discussions, media used powerpoint and leaflets. The output target to be achieved is to achieve changes in the behavior of individuals, families and communities in fostering and maintaining healthy living behaviors and healthy environments, as well as playing an active role in efforts to realize optimal health degrees. This activity was attended by 22 people from Rt 39 Legok Village, cadres and heads of RT along with professional students of Ners. The results of this activity increase people's understanding of healthy lifestyles and apply them in daily life
