Abstract

The principles of Sharia economic law, rooted in Islamic jurisprudence, emphasize ethical and equitable economic practices. As Muslim-majority countries increasingly adopt Sharia-compliant financial systems, understanding their impact on economic growth has become crucial. This study examines the influence of Sharia economic law on economic growth in Muslim-majority countries from a global perspective. The research aims to analyze the relationship between Sharia economic law and economic growth, identifying key drivers, challenges, and opportunities for sustainable development in Muslim-majority countries. A mixed-methods approach is employed, combining quantitative analysis of macroeconomic data from 20 Muslim-majority countries and qualitative interviews with policymakers, economists, and Sharia scholars. Data were analyzed using regression models and thematic analysis. The findings reveal that Sharia economic law positively impacts economic growth by promoting ethical investments, financial inclusion, and risk-sharing mechanisms. However, challenges such as regulatory inconsistencies, limited financial literacy, and inadequate infrastructure hinder its full potential. Countries with robust Sharia governance frameworks and supportive policies reported higher economic growth rates.

Abstract

The global rise in aging populations poses urgent challenges to healthcare systems, social welfare, and labor sustainability. Traditional caregiving models are increasingly strained by workforce shortages and escalating medical costs. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotics have emerged as transformative technologies offering innovative and sustainable approaches to elderly care. This study aims to examine how AI-driven systems and assistive robots enhance healthcare delivery, autonomy, and quality of life among older adults. Using a mixed-method design, the research combines a systematic review of 120 peer-reviewed studies (2012–2024) with case analyses of robotic implementations in Japan, Sweden, and Singapore. Findings reveal that AI-enabled monitoring, predictive diagnostics, and social robots significantly improve health outcomes, emotional well-being, and caregiving efficiency. However, ethical concerns regarding privacy, human empathy, and digital inequality remain critical barriers to widespread adoption. The study concludes that sustainable elderly care requires integrating technological innovation with human-centered design and policy frameworks that ensure inclusivity, accountability, and data ethics.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of telemedicine has revolutionized healthcare delivery, particularly in rural areas where access to healthcare services is often limited. This study explores the impact of telemedicine on improving healthcare access in rural communities, aiming to evaluate how virtual healthcare platforms can overcome geographical barriers and enhance patient outcomes. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative interviews with healthcare professionals and patients in rural settings, along with quantitative surveys to assess healthcare accessibility, satisfaction, and perceived effectiveness. The findings reveal that telemedicine significantly improves access to healthcare by reducing travel time, minimizing wait times for appointments, and offering continuous care, which is crucial for managing chronic conditions. Furthermore, patients expressed high satisfaction with the convenience and affordability of virtual consultations. However, challenges such as limited internet connectivity, technological literacy, and concerns about the quality of care were noted. In conclusion, telemedicine holds great potential in expanding healthcare access in rural communities, but it requires tailored strategies to address infrastructure gaps and ensure equitable access to all individuals. Future research should focus on the long-term outcomes and scalability of telemedicine initiatives in diverse rural settings.

Abstract

Background. Stunting is a major public health problem in Indonesia, especially in Central Java, where socioeconomic gaps and limited maternal health education persist. Low nutritional knowledge among pregnant women and caregivers delays early prevention, affecting child growth. Community participation is increasingly viewed as a key strategy to strengthen health literacy. Purpose. To evaluate the effectiveness of a community-based participatory approach in improving maternal knowledge, feeding practices, and early caregiving behaviors related to stunting prevention. Method. A mixed-methods design was used, combining surveys and focus group discussions with 65 pregnant women and caregivers in three Central Java districts. The intervention involved collaborative health education led by midwives, health workers, and local women leaders. Quantitative data were analyzed descriptively and with paired t-tests; qualitative data were thematically coded. Results. Maternal health knowledge increased significantly (p < .001), and complementary feeding practices improved in line with national guidelines. Participants also reported higher confidence in monitoring growth and understanding nutrition. Qualitative data showed that collective learning strengthened social support for early stunting prevention. Conclusion. Participatory education builds community ownership, supports behavioral change, and improves the sustainability of maternal and child health programs. Scaling this model may contribute to national efforts to reduce stunting and enhance child well-being.
