Abstract

Remaja memiliki kebutuhan untuk membentuk identitas dan diakui lingkungan sosialnya. Dalam hal ini, media sosial mengekstensi para remaja untuk memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut. Namun, media sosial cenderung mendorong para remaja untuk mengungkapkan informasi pribadi mereka secara terbuka. Media sosial tanpa disadari mengaburkan batas informasi yang dapat diungkapkan dan tidak. Sedangkan saat ini, pengelolaan data atau informasi pribadi menjadi tantangan besar yang harus dihadapi di era komunikasi digital. Hal ini pada gilirannya berdampak pada polemik pengelolaan privasi di media sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma post-positivis dan pendekatan kualitatif dengan strategi penelitian konstruktivis untuk mempelajari pemahaman remaja dalam memperlakukan privasi dengan mengacu pada pengalaman unik dan spesifik dari setiap individu. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan observasi, wawancara semi-terstruktur, dan dokumentasi. Data yang telah terkumpul kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa remaja di pemukiman kumuh menggunakan Facebook sebagai media untuk memelihara pertemanan, membangun hubungan percintaan, dan wadah dalam mengekspresikan diri. Pemahaman mengenai informasi pribadi disikapi secara beragam sesuai keyakinan dan pengetahuan dari remaja. Selain itu, remaja di pemukiman kumuh secara umum belum memahami apa itu privasi dan bagaimana mengelola informasi pribadi di Facebook. Cara remaja di pemukiman kumuh dalam membuat aturan dan kontrol mengenai kepemilikan informasi pribadi mereka yaitu dengan memilih orang yang akan diceritakan mengenai informasi pribadinya sebagai upaya mengelola informasi pribadi mereka agar tidak mengalami pelanggaran aturan privasi. Temuan lainnya, remaja di pemukiman kumuh yang menutup akses informasi pribadinya di Facebook memiliki latar belakang pendidikan dan keterlibatan organisasi yang baik, penge-tahuan akan resiko dalam bermedia sosial, dan mendapatkan pengawasan langsung dari orang tua. Teenagers have a need to form an identity and be recognized by their social environment. In this case, social media caters the youth to meet these needs. However, social media tends to encourage teens to disclose their personal information. So-cial media unwittingly obscures the limits of information which can be disclosed or not. In this era of digital communication, managing data or personal information is a big challenge which must be faced. This in turn causes a polemic of privacy management on social media. This study uses a post-positivist paradigm and qualitative approach with constructivist research strategy to study the adolescents’ knowledge in managing their privacy by referring to the unique and specific experiences of each individual. Data of this study were collected by observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The data which have been collected were analyzed using thematic analysis. The results showed that teenagers living in slums used Facebook as a medium to maintain friendships and build love relationships, and a place to express themselves. These teenagers addressed their personal information management in various ways according to their beliefs and knowledge. In addition, adolescents in slums generally do not understand what privacy is and how to manage personal information on Facebook. Teens in slums make rules and control the ownership of their personal information by selecting people who will be told about their personal information. These are their efforts to manage their personal information in or-der not to experience any violations of privacy rules. Other finding explained that the teenagers in slums who closed access to their personal information on Facebook had a good educational background and organizational participation, knowledge of risks on social media, and had direct supervision from parents.

Abstract

The mass media through documentary films have an influence in constructing stereotypes of local culture. In the process of text and image representation, misrepresentation may occur, namely untruths or misrepresentations. This study aims to find out how local cultural stereotypes are shown in the documentary film Borneo's sea Bajou The Real Water World People. This film tells the story of the life of the Bajou people who are famous for their ability to survive in the water for a long time. This research is a qualitative research using Roland Barthes' Semiotics analysis method. The results show that in the documentary film Borneo's sea Bajou The Real Water World People there are signs that are represented causing misrepresentation through conversational texts and picture texts to support the local cultural stereotypes of the Bajou tribe.

Abstract

Manusia sebagai bagian dari masyarakat memiliki kemampuan dalam beradaptasi dengan lingkungan sosial. Munculnya Industri 4.0 mengharuskan penggunaan teknologi secara maksimal. Kini berbagai aspek kehidupan masyarakat termasuk kegiatan ekonomi juga mulai bergeser menyesuaikan dengan perkembangan teknologi. Salah satu kegiatan ekonomi berbasis digital yang kini banyak digunakan oleh masyarakat adalah pembayaran digital (digital payment). Masyarakat Baduy menjadi salah satu masyarakat yang mulai beradaptasi dengan kebiasaan baru tersebut. Namun, perubahan tersebut memerlukan suatu pendekatan khusus mengingat masyarakat Baduy masih sangat kental dengan nilai-nilai adatnya. Beberapa dari mereka mengaku sudah terbiasa dengan sistem pembayaran digital. Penyesuaian ini dilakukan salah satunya sebagai upaya memajukan Baduy sebagai desa wisata. Warga asli Baduy diharuskan melakukan penyesuaian terhadap perkembangan teknologi sehingga dapat memajukan Baduy. Oleh karena itu, untuk melakukan pergeseran terhadap suatu budaya di masyarakat diperlukan adanya sosialisasi inovasi yang akan ditawarkan. Dalam teori difusi inovasi, baru hanya dapat diterima apabila sesuai dengan karakteristik masyarakat. Penelitian ini ditunjang dengan model kualitatif. Pastikan kualitatif dipilih dengan mempertimbangkan objek penelitian, yaitu masyarakat Baduy. Sebagai hasilnya, para pelaku bisnis mencoba mengembangkan usaha dengan pembayaran digital. Beberapa dari mereka bahkan telah menyediakan sistem pembayaran melalui kode QR. Namun, sebagian besar juga mengaku belum terbiasa dengan sistem pembayaran digital dan tetap mengikuti perdagangan melalui transaksi tradisional.

Abstract

Islamic philanthropy through social media is a form of community participation in the youth volunteering movement. Social media is used to spread information, raise funds, attract volunteers, and collaborate with philanthropic institutions. Islamic philanthropy through social media can help in building a caring and sharing society, as well as strengthening the spirit of humanity and expanding the reach of philanthropic activities. Islamic philanthropy through social media has an important role in helping youth to build a more caring and friendly society. Youth volunteering movements are in dire need of support from the community, and Islamic philanthropy through social media can help overcome obstacles and strengthen the spirit of humanity. This research method uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method. Social media is becoming an effective tool for achieving the goals of the youth volunteering movement, by helping to disseminate information, raise funds, attract volunteers, and collaborate with philanthropic institutions. Therefore, Islamic philanthropy through social media is very important and can help youth in achieving their vision of building a better society.

Abstract

Privacy management amid the development of social media seems to be in a dilemma. On the one hand, social media provides space for expression and self-expression, including all information that comes in a personal context. But on the otherhand this has the potential to violate privacy. Uniquely, the second account feature is often considered a safe zone to express oneself more openly. It is in such situations that management privacy is required. In the theory of communication privacy management (CPM) by Sandra Petronio, a person’s boundaries in behavior must be determined by himself. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques by interviewing and documenting several uploads on the nformant’s second account. The results of this study indicate that the various violations that occurred on the second account were caused by a lack of knowledge to a wrong understanding that the data would be stored safely with the closest trusted person. Even though the person who is selected to enter the second account circle is also vulnerable to opening the data privacy of the account owner and even spreading it. After this research is expected to be input for social media users to be wiser in managing their privacy even in features that are considered safe.

Abstract

The development of communication and information technology in this digital era has influenced various aspects of human life, especially in obtaining information. Various telecommunications innovations are increasing, especially as internet access and social media are available. One of the social media platforms that is popular among Indonesian people, especially the younger generation and teenagers, is Instagram. Instagram makes it easy for its users to interact with each other and share information, including da'wah information. As is done by the Remisya community, which uses Instagram as a means to spread da'wah information. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the process of diffusion of digital da'wah innovations in the Remisya community in persuading teenagers on Instagram. This research uses qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach and a constructivist paradigm. Meanwhile, this research data was obtained through observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. Meanwhile, the diffusion of innovation theory introduced by Everett M. Rogers is used as an analytical tool to understand how Instagram was adopted by the Remisya community in spreading da'wah information. The results of this research show that the process of diffusion of digital da'wah innovation in the Remisya community is able to persuade teenagers to take part in their da'wah program. By paying attention to several elements of innovation diffusion and the innovation decision-making process which involves several stages, including the ability of the Remisya community to adopt and adapt to digital technology for da'wah purposes.

Abstract

The millennial generation, as the largest contributor to the composition of the population in the demographic bonus. Identical to the productive and energetic young generation, the millennial generation is often labeled as an Agent of Change. Currently the world, especially Indonesia, is facing an era of openness in social media. One of the most worrying problems in the era of openness is the existence of religious hoaxes that divide religious communities. A pluralistic country like Indonesia, can be said to be in great threat if religious hoaxes continue to run rampant. This study aims to determine the condition of religious hoaxes and literacy in Indonesia. Furthermore, the extent to which religious hoaxes can be overcome with digital literacy will be something interesting in this research. The method used in this research is a survey on the condition of religious hoaxes in Indonesia. The results of the study found that the distance between religious hoax information and social media users was very close. Religious hoax information on social media, including radical sites, terrorism cases, and hate speech. Many Indonesian people do not have the ability to check data. So that the presence of the "Millennial Digital Literacy" solution can be used as a solution for handling religious hoaxes in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research examines the use of multimedia content in digital da'wah, with a focus on religious communication practices on social media. With the development of information and communication technology, da'wah via social media has become an increasingly popular strategy among preachers to reach a wider audience. This study explores various forms of multimedia content, such as videos, images, infographics and animations, and how these contents are used to convey religious messages. The research methodology used consists of content analysis and interviews with preachers who are active on social media. The research results show that multimedia content is effective in attracting attention and increasing audience understanding of da'wah material. In addition, interactions that occur on social media provide space for constructive dialogue between preachers and audiences. However, this research also found challenges faced, including the issue of credibility of information and the misuse of social media to spread ideas that are not in accordance with religious teachings. The conclusions of this research emphasize the importance of appropriate communication strategies and the use of quality multimedia content in digital da'wah to maximize the positive impact on society.

Abstract

Abstract. Digital inclusion has become critical in ensuring equitable access to information and communication technologies, particularly in disseminating religious values and promoting social welfare. This study explores how digital inclusion through access to internet connectivity, digital devices, and digital literacy supports the spreading of Islamic da'wah messages and welfare related content on popular platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. Each platform offers different features that affect how effectively messages are delivered and received, particularly among diverse and marginalized audiences. Using a quantitative approach with the Digital Action Research method, this study analyzes user engagement metrics such as likes, comments, shares, and views to assess the impact of digital inclusion on the reach and effectiveness of religious and social welfare content. The results show that digital inclusion enhances access to religious information and strengthens social awareness, community participation, and value based education. This research highlights the importance of creating inclusive digital environments to ensure that religious and social messages are accessible, relevant, and impactful for all segments of society. Keyword: Digital inclusion, social welfare, religious values, da’wah, social media. Abstrak. Inklusi digital menjadi faktor penting dalam memastikan akses yang merata terhadap teknologi informasi dan komunikasi, khususnya dalam penyebaran nilai keagamaan dan promosi kesejahteraan sosial. Penelitian ini mengkaji bagaimana inklusi digital melalui akses terhadap koneksi internet, perangkat digital, dan literasi digital mendukung penyebaran pesan dakwah Islam serta konten-konten yang berkaitan dengan kesejahteraan sosial di platform populer seperti YouTube, Instagram, dan TikTok. Setiap platform memiliki fitur yang berbeda yang memengaruhi efektivitas penyampaian dan penerimaan pesan, terutama bagi audiens yang beragam dan rentan. Dengan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui metode Digital Action Research, penelitian ini menganalisis metrik keterlibatan pengguna seperti jumlah suka, komentar, bagikan, dan tayangan untuk menilai dampak inklusi digital terhadap jangkauan dan efektivitas konten keagamaan dan sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa inklusi digital tidak hanya meningkatkan akses terhadap informasi keagamaan, tetapi juga berperan penting dalam memperkuat kesadaran sosial, partisipasi komunitas, dan pendidikan berbasis nilai. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya menciptakan lingkungan digital yang inklusif agar pesan-pesan keagamaan dan sosial dapat diakses, diterima, dan berdampak bagi seluruh lapisan masyarakat. Keyword: Inklusi digital, kesejahteraan sosial, nilai keagamaan, dakwah, media sosial.
