Abstract

Abstract The skill competency test activity is a very strategic educational activity to reveal student competency achievements. Competence is an ability to carry out or perform a job or task based on skills and knowledge and supported by the work attitude required by the job. The purpose of the competency test is to measure students' cognitive abilities or to test the process objectives of a program by using the practicum test assessment format or observing activities of groups or individuals. The method of implementing the activities is carried out in several stages including the preparation stage, the implementation stage and the implementation results stage. The results of the implementation of Community Service activities in the form of competency tests in the field of expertise have been carried out well with indicators of satisfaction with these activities, namely (1). quite good coordination between Rigomasi Vocational School and STTI Bontang in organizing competency test activities so that competency test activities run smoothly, (2). Rigomasi Vocational High School students in general can work on the questions given in the competency test well, so it is hoped that the skills they have can be put into practice in the real world of work. Abstract

Banana peels contain saponins (producing foam), flavonids and tannins (antiseptics) which can be used as the main raw material in making soap and orange peels which have a nice and fresh aroma can be used as additives for soap making. Meanwhile, Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) is the result of processing coconuts into pure coconut oil which produces a product in the form of oil that is clear in color, has a distinctive coconut smell, and has very low water content, and lasts more than one year if stored. VCO is made using traditional methods without the addition of chemicals. VCO has a significant role for the body, including being able to get rid of fat, can reduce or prevent blood clots, minimize cholesterol, produce oxidants in cells, and can prevent cancer and heart disease. The purpose of this community service is to provide understanding and training in making dish soap using banana peel as the basic ingredient and making VCO traditionally for residents of the Bontang Kuala sub-district, Bontang City. The method of implementing community service activities (PkM) is carried out using socialization methods, demonstrations and direct practice carried out by residents of the Bontang Kuala sub-district. The results of this community service provided extraordinary benefits to the women of the Bontang Kuala sub-district because they did not know the various benefits of banana peel waste for making dish soap and the benefits of VCO for health and did not know how to make dish soap from banana peel waste and the manufacturing process. Abstract

Salah satu ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi dan seni yang sesuai dengan tuntutan perkembangan jaman dan tuntutan di dunia industri, yaitu menggambar teknik menggunakan program AutoCAD. Berdasarkan tujuan khusus Pendidikan Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) menurut Undang-Undang Nomor 20 Tahun 2003 maka perlu melaksanakan pelatihan AutoCAD untuk siswa SMK. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah (1). Untuk memperkenalkan program AutoCAD kepada siswa SMK Nusantara Mandiri. (2). Untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dengan teknik menggambar AutoCAD yang lebih mudah dan waktu singkat, dibandingkan metode menggambar manual. (3). Untuk mengubah metode pengajaran guru pengampu mata pelajaran menggambar teknik dari metode manual menjadi program komputer (AutoCAD). Metode yang digunakan pada pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu metode pengajaran, demostrasi dan Praktek. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu siswa sangat tertarik dengan penggunaan AutoCAD dalam mata pelajaran menggambar teknik karena lebih mudah dipahami, motivasi belajar siswa-siswi SMK Nusantara Mandiri dalam belajar mempelajari menggambar teknik sangat besar karena dapat menggikuti perkembangan zaman yaitu menggunakan teknologi computer, dan guru pengampuh mata pelajaran menggambar teknik berkomitmen untuk mengaplikasikan metode menggambar menggunakan AutoCAD kepada siswanya.

Abstract

A centrifugal pump is a device or machine for moving liquids from one place to another by using centrifugal force caused by impeller motion and at the same time converting the kinetic energy of the fluid into compressive force on the liquid being moved and takes place continuously while at the same time converting the kinetic energy of the fluid into compressive force. . This study aims to determine the effect of variations in the inlet pressure of the water flow on the performance of centrifugal water pumps. The method used in this study is the experimental method by conducting direct testing of research tools. Based on the results of testing the water pump installation, and based on the research objectives, it can be concluded that the highest pump shaft power value occurs at an inlet pressure of 0.01 kg/cm2 with a value of 0.3093 kWatt, then the highest hydraulic power value occurs at an outlet pressure of 0 .02 kg/cm2 with a value of 0.1380 kWatt, and the highest pump efficiency value occurs at an outlet pressure of 0.04 kg/cm2 with a value of 50.0109%.

Abstract

Salah satu sember energi terbarukan yang sangat berpotensi adalah pemanfaatan energi air dan apabila pemanfaatan energi tersebut dilakukan secara meluas diseluruh wilayah Indonesia, maka peluang untuk keluar dari krisis listrik akan semakin besar mengingat Indonesia dengan wilayahnya yang beriklim tropis dengan curah hujan yang tinggi dan kondisi topografi yang bergunung – gunung dengan aliran sungai yang berpotensi untuk dikembangkan sebagai pembangkit tenaga listrik. Potensi ini sebagian besar tersebar di daerah pedesaan, sementara diperkirakan masih banyak penduduk desa yang belum menikmati energi listrik sehingga sangat tepat untuk mengembangkan pembangkit tenaga listrik. Berdasarkan tujuan penelitian maka dapat diambil kesimpulan dari penelitian variasi diameter nosel tersebut, Daya turbin maksimum terjadi pada diameter nosel 20 mm dengan nilai sebesar 0,834 Watt pada rpm 90, kemudian menurun pada diameter nosel 22 mm dengan nilai daya turbin sebesar 0,207 Watt pada rpm 40, sedangkan daya turbin terendah terjadi pada diameter nosel 26 mm dengan nilai daya sebesar 0,176 Watt pada rpm 20. Abstract One source of renewable energy that has great potential is the utilization of water energy and if this energy utilization is carried out widely throughout Indonesia, then the opportunity to get out of the electricity crisis will be even greater considering that Indonesia has a tropical climate with high rainfall and unfavorable topography. mountainous with flowing rivers that have the potential to be developed as a power plant. This potential is mostly spread in rural areas, while it is estimated that there are still many villagers who do not enjoy electricity so it is very appropriate to develop a power plant. Based on the research objectives, it can be concluded from the research on variations in nozzle diameter, the maximum turbine power occurs at a nozzle diameter of 20 mm with a value of 0.834 Watt at 90 rpm, then decreases at a nozzle diameter of 22 mm with a turbine power value of 0.207 Watt at 40 rpm, while the lowest turbine power occurs at a nozzle diameter of 26 mm with a power value of 0.176 Watt at 20 rpm. Abstract

In this study, the effect of pump voltage on engine performance and fuel consumption on the Honda Scoopy motorbike was investigated. The voltage value is between 5 volts and 7 volts for the fuel pump pump pressure. Based on the results of the influence of variations in the voltage electrical fuel pump on engine performance on Honda Scoopy motorcycles by looking for some data, namely; Voltage supplied to the fuel pump, engine RPM, and fuel consumption. From some of the data above, results with the following values are obtained; The voltage values used are 5.80 V, 6.54 V, 7.34 V, 6.68 V, and 7.10 V. The RPM values obtained are 1200, 2607, 3289, 2802 and 3210. The pressure values at the fuel pump obtained are 20 Psi, 21.5 Psi, 27.5 Psi, 22.5 Psi and 25 Psi with an average fuel consumption value of 12 ml/minute for all variables. The results of the study show that the pressure on the fuel is affected by the voltage which affects the engine rpm. Furthermore, the voltage does not affect the value of fuel consumption on the machine.

Abstract

Program Kampus Mengajar merupakan salah satu Program Merdeka Belajar – Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) dari Kemendikbud Sekolah yang menjadi mitra dari pengabdian masyarakat dalam pelaksanaan program Kampus Mengajar yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa dan dosen STTI Bontang yaitu sekolah SMK YP Rigomasi, SMK Muhammadiyah, dan SMK Cendekia Bontang dengan guru kejuruan teknik mesin yang sangat sedikit. Adapun ruang lingkup Program Kampus Mengajar ini mencakup pembelajaran di semua mata pelajaran kejuruan tekni mesin. Program tersebut, diharapkan mahasiswa dapat memiliki kesempatan untuk mengasah jiwa kepemimpinan dan karakter serta memiliki pengalaman mengajar. Adapun tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu untuk membantu sekolah SMK swasta yang sangat kekurang guru produktif.. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode sosialisasi, demonstrasi dan praktek langsung. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh dari program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah bahwa siswa SMK Swasta sangat senang dan antusias dengan pelaksanaan PkM kampus mengajar ini dikarenakan yang mengajar adalah dosen teknik mesin yang kompeten dibidang terori maupun praktek. Abstract

Abstract Biogas is a type of gas produced through the anaerobic fermentation process of organic matter. One method of processing organic waste as an alternative energy source is biogas technology. This study aims to determine the effect of a mixture of cow feces with organic waste liquid on biogas productivity. The method used in this study is a small-scale experimental method. The results showed that the value of biogas efficiency from a mixture of cow feces and tofu waste was higher with a value of 2.8% compared to a mixture of cow feces and palm oil waste which was 1.77% and the calorific value of biogas mixed with cow feces and tofu waste had a higher calorific value 34918 ,8 cal/ltr compared to a mixture of cow feces and palm oil waste with a calorific value of 12986.47 cal/ltr. Abstract

Pompa merupakan salah satu komponen yang paling penting dalam hal pendistribusian cairan (terutama air). Dalam memompa cairan, pompa sentrifugal memiliki peranan yang amat penting karna paling banyak penggunaanya. Karna banyaknya penggunaan tersebut, maka dibutuhkan pompa sentrifugal yang unjuk kerjanya maksimum. Untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi debit aliran terhadap kinerja pompa air sentrifugal Single Stage Grundfos Ns Basic 4-23M. Metode penelitian dilakukan secara eksperimental dalam skala laboratorium. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menggunakan instalasi pompa air pada workshop Teknik Mesin Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Industri Bontang dapat disimpulkan bahwa nilai daya poros pompa terbesar terjadi pada debit aliran 0,0014 m3/dtk dengan menghasilkan daya poros sebesar 0,654 hp, selanjutnya nilai daya hidrolis terbesar terjadi pada debit aliran 0,0012 m3/dtk dengan nilai sebesar 0,168 hp, dan nilai effisiensi pompa tertinggi terjadi pada debit aliran 0,0010 m3/dtk dengan nilai sebesar 29,087 %.

Abstract Along with the increasingly rapid development of tecnology of technology in science today, it will have a very complex impact on companies which are required to produce quality product in accordance with market demand, especially in the development of technology in the fields of construction, automotive, manufacturing and home industry. The more bolts you use in a connection, the greater the tensile strength production. Variations in bolt connection models influence efforts to increase tensile strength for both the 2 bolt, 3 bolt models, namely for the 2 bolt connection the horizontal model max 2 bolt = 89.722 Mpa, the vertical model max 2 bolt = 96.019 Mpa and the incline model max 2bolt = 86,667 Mpa and for a connection of 3 bolts, horizontal model max 3 bolt = 137,222 Mpa, vertical model max 3 bolt = 120,556 Mpa , inclined model max 3 bolt = 122,315 Mpa , triangular model (a) max 3 baut = 134,074 Mpa and triangular model (b) max 3 baut = 133,889 Mpa.
