Abstract

Gemini AI-based learning design training at SD Inpres Monginsidi Makassar City aims to improve teachers' competence in utilising artificial intelligence (AI) technology to create more innovative, adaptive, and effective learning. The training was attended by 30 teachers who were given materials on the introduction of Gemini AI, how to use the platform to design learning that suits students' needs, as well as hands-on practice in designing and implementing technology-based lesson plans. The Gemini AI-based learning design training at SD Inpres Monginsidi used a participatory and collaborative approach. The training method also applied in the service programme consists of several stages designed to maximise teachers' understanding and skills in using Gemini AI technology. The results of the training showed an increase in teachers' ability to design digital learning that is more interactive and personalised. Despite challenges in terms of infrastructure and mental readiness, the training succeeded in expanding teachers' understanding of artificial intelligence technology and its use in education. Thus, the results of this training contribute significantly to strengthening teachers' competencies and improving the quality of learning in primary schools.

Abstract

The training on Gamma-based instructional design aims to enhance teachers' ability to create effective presentations and slide decks using artificial intelligence (AI). The training methods include delivering material on the use of Gamma Presentations and Slide Decks with AI, interactive discussions, and hands-on practice, where participants are guided in developing engaging and comprehensible instructional content. This training incorporates design software and AI applications to improve the quality and attractiveness of teaching materials. The community service initiative targets teachers at UPT SPF SDN 1 Mongisidi, a leading elementary school in Makassar City. Through group assignments, teachers are also given opportunities to collaborate, exchange ideas, and provide feedback to one another. Evaluation results indicate a significant improvement in teachers' understanding of instructional design, as well as increased confidence in utilizing technology. This training is expected to have a positive impact on the quality of elementary education, encourage innovation in teaching, and foster a more interactive learning environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the utilisation of the social media platform TikTok in enhancing political literacy among students at SMA Negeri Mumbulsari. The research questions focus on how the use of TikTok influences students’ political understanding and to what extent their political participation changes after accessing political content on the platform. The method employed is quantitative with an ex post facto approach, involving a sample of 109 Year 12 students. The theoretical framework underpinning this research comprises theories of political literacy and political participation within the context of social media. The findings indicate that TikTok plays a significant role in enhancing students’ political awareness, as demonstrated by the notable increase in their interaction and participation in political discussions. In conclusion, TikTok can serve as an effective political education tool for the younger generation if utilised appropriately.
