Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the correlation of emotional intelligence toward students learning outcomes on Chemistry subject grade XI at SMAN in Makassar. This type of research is an ex post facto-correlational. The population was all student of SMAN grade XII IPA in Makassar. The sample of this research was taken using stratified random sampling technique and the selected school was SMAN 2, SMAN 3, SMAN 5, SMAN 8, SMAN 11, SMAN 14. The data collection technique of this research by using emotional intelligence questionnary and acid base subject test. The data analyzed by descriptive and inferential analysis technique. Hypothesis test by SPPSS 20.0 version which using correlation analysis. Significant score of emotional intelligence with learning outcomes of student is 0,016<0.05 , that shows H1 is accepted and Ho is rejected. This research showing there is correlation between emotional intelligence with student learning outcomes

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze students' perceptions regarding the application of artificial intelligence in science learning materials. The research method used in this study is a descriptive quantitative approach to evaluate the perceptions of elementary school students towards the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) in science education in Makassar in June 2024. Data analysis techniques involve descriptive statistics. The subjects of the study consisted of 26 students, with instrument being a 24-item questionnaire using a Likert scale from 1 to 5. This questionnaire was designed to assess students' learning experiences, interests, motivation, benefits, impacts, as well as challenges and expectations. The results indicate that the use of AI in science learning has a significant positive impact, enhancing students' learning experiences, interests, and motivation. The majority of students reported that AI aided them in understanding the material, exam preparation, and learning outcomes. However, there were some challenges such as technical issues and adaptation that need to be addressed. Students have high expectations for the sustainability of this technology. To optimize the benefits of AI and overcome challenges, technical support, training, and adequate infrastructure are needed so that all students can equitably benefit from this technology.

Abstract

Ekosistem mangrove memiliki peran penting dalam mendukung konservasi lingkungan melalui fungsi ekologis, ekonomi, dan sosialnya. Pengelolaan ekosistem mangrove yang berkelanjutan menjadi kebutuhan mendesak mengingat ancaman degradasi yang terus meningkat akibat aktivitas manusia, seperti alih fungsi lahan, polusi, dan eksploitasi berlebihan. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi strategi pengelolaan ekosistem mangrove yang efektif guna mendukung konservasi lingkungan. Pendekatan yang digunakan meliputi perencanaan & persiapan, pelatihan, evaluasi & refleksi, dan diskusi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa partisipasi dan minat mahasiswa meningkat terhadap pemahaman dan kesadaran tentang pentingnya konservasi lingkungan, khususnya dalam konteks pengelolaan ekosistem mangrove Mahasiswa menjadi lebih sadar akan pentingnya konservasi mangrove dan terinspirasi untuk terlibat dalam upaya pelestarian lingkungan yang lebih luas. Dengan pengelolaan yang terintegrasi dan partisipatif, ekosistem mangrove tidak hanya mampu menjadi benteng alami dari perubahan iklim dan erosi, tetapi juga mendukung keberlanjutan mata pencaharian masyarakat pesisir

Abstract

The training on Gamma-based instructional design aims to enhance teachers' ability to create effective presentations and slide decks using artificial intelligence (AI). The training methods include delivering material on the use of Gamma Presentations and Slide Decks with AI, interactive discussions, and hands-on practice, where participants are guided in developing engaging and comprehensible instructional content. This training incorporates design software and AI applications to improve the quality and attractiveness of teaching materials. The community service initiative targets teachers at UPT SPF SDN 1 Mongisidi, a leading elementary school in Makassar City. Through group assignments, teachers are also given opportunities to collaborate, exchange ideas, and provide feedback to one another. Evaluation results indicate a significant improvement in teachers' understanding of instructional design, as well as increased confidence in utilizing technology. This training is expected to have a positive impact on the quality of elementary education, encourage innovation in teaching, and foster a more interactive learning environment.

Abstract

Curriculum development needs to be carried out by educational units in anticipation of the increasingly rapid pace of development of Science and Technology. The aim of this research is to understand the process of curriculum development in Indonesia, especially the independent curriculum which is implemented in educational units. As well as knowing the application or implementation of the independent curriculum in 21st century learning. The research method used is literature study, namely data collection techniques carried out by systematically searching scientific literature, whether in the form of journals, articles, books or other sources. The research results show that curriculum development needs to be carried out to produce graduates who are in line with the demands of the future. The implementation of the independent curriculum includes 3 activities, namely intracurricular, co-curricular and extracurricular. Education units can choose the options implemented in the independent curriculum, including independent learning, independent change and independent sharing. The implementation of the independent curriculum must also be in accordance with current 21st century learning which has the characteristics of the 4C abilities that students must have, namely Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration and Creativity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze teachers' perceptions of the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in science learning (Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam/IPA) in Makassar City. The method used is descriptive quantitative, with data collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire distributed to 25 junior high school science teachers. The questionnaire was developed based on five main aspects: teaching experience, interest and motivation, benefits and impacts, challenges and obstacles, and expectations regarding the use of AI. The results of the study indicate that the majority of teachers have a positive perception of the integration of AI in science education. Teachers reported benefits in terms of increased student motivation, more innovative learning experiences, and easier explanations of abstract scientific concepts. However, several challenges remain, such as limited access to devices, internet connectivity, and technical skills. Despite these challenges, teachers demonstrate a high level of readiness and enthusiasm to participate in further training and express strong expectations for AI to be formally integrated into the science curriculum. The study recommends policy support, ongoing professional development, and infrastructure improvements to ensure the effective and equitable implementation of AI across schools

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan dan transfer teknologi terkait sistem penyediaan air bersih dan pengolahan air limbah di UPT. SMK 5 Takalar. Masalah utama yang dihadapi sekolah ini adalah keterbatasan akses terhadap air bersih yang layak serta belum optimalnya pengolahan air limbah, yang dapat berdampak negatif terhadap kesehatan dan lingkungan sekitar. Pelaksanaan kegiatan mengikuti 5 tahapan yaitu Sosialisasi, Pelatihan, Penerapan teknologi,Pendampingan dan evaluasi, serta Keberlanjutan program. Pelatihan kepada pihak sekolah mengenai instalasi dan perawatan sistem penyediaan air bersih, serta metode pengolahan air limbah sederhana yang ramah lingkungan. Tim PKM juga memfasilitasi pemasangan alat-alat teknologi tepat guna yang efisien, hemat biaya, dan mudah dioperasikan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan staf sekolah dalam pengelolaan air bersih dan air limbah, serta implementasi sistem penyediaan air yang lebih baik dan ramah lingkungan. Selain itu dihasilkannya air sesuai mutu air dengan kapasitas 45 liter per menit juga dihasilkan air layak konsumsi dengan kapasitas 1,3 liter per menit.

Abstract

Sasaran dari studi kasus ini adalah untuk (1) Mendeskripsikan metode Resource-Based Learning (RBL) pada materi pembelajaran IPA Pengetahuan Lingkungan kelas V UPT SPF SDN Mangkura Kota V Makassar (2) Mendeskripsikan siswa dalam pembelajaran dengan menerapkan Resource-Based Learning (RBL) ), Model Pembelajaran berbasisi Sumber daya (3). Membuktikan pengaruh perubahan pemahaman siswa selama proses pembelajaran dalam konteks ilmu pengetahuan lingkungan. Studi ini merupakan jenis studi kuanatitatif dengan rancangan penelitian pra-eksperimental berskema kelompok pre-test post-test. Sebanyak 36 siswa menjadi sampel dalam prosedur pengambilan data dimana strategi yang digunakan adalah metode purposive sampling. Teknik analisis inferensial dan teknik analisis deskriptif adalah strategi analisis data yang akan diterapkan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil analisis statistik deskriptif menampilkan pencapaian awal siswa (pre-test) rata-rata berada pada tingkat kurang dan meningkat setelah diberikan perlakuan (post-test) rata-rata berada pada tingkat baik. Dari hasil uji statistik diketahui terdapat perbedaan pengetahuan lingkungan hidup siswa kelas V di UPT SPF SDN Mangkura V Kota Makassar antara sebelum dan sesudah menerapkan metode pembelajaran berbasis sumber daya. Kesimpulannya pembelajaran berbasis sumber daya, Resource-Based Learning (RBL) berdampak terhadap pengetahuan siswa tentang ilmu lingkungan.
