Abstract

Purpose: Fish is a type of animal protein that can be consumed by humans to supplement protein in the body. Due to the fact that there is an abundance of fish in Indonesia, traders often experience losses because of rotting fish. A small proportion of traders tricked the buyers by mixing fish with formaldehyde to preserve fish in order to prevent fish spoilage until it can be consumed.  Thus, every fish buyer must be aware of fraud by traders. Methods: To be able to find out that the fish has been mixed with formalin, the solution offered is computerized by utilizing the GLCM feature extraction as information extraction on the fish image and the SVM method as a classification method. Result: The results showed an average accuracy of 0.784, precision of 0.799, recall of 0.784, and f-measure of 0.781. Novelty: The effect of the SVM classification method on the performance measurement of the model is not too big compared to previous studies, but it is better.

Abstract

Aktivitas utama yang dilakukan sehari – hari seorang individu untuk mencari uang adalah dengan cara bekerja. Mencari pekerjaan yang sesuai dengan latar belakang pendidikan yang kita tekuni tidaklah mudah. Banyak individu yang tidak mengetahui kemampuan diri mereka sendiri dan keterbatasan informasi lowongan pekerjaan juga menjadi hambatan bagi pelamar yang ingin mencari pekerjaan. Karena itu, diperlukan satu ‘alat bantu’ yang dapat memberi rekomendasi bidang pekerjaan apa yang sesuai dengan belakang pendidikan yang bersangkutan. Metode hybrid approach adalah dengan menggabungkan teknik collaborative-filtering (algoritma decision tree) dan content-based (algoritma nearest neighbor). Algoritma decision tree digunakan untuk pengklasifikasian bidang pekerjaan sedangkan untuk rekomendasi pekerjaan,digunakan algoritma nearest neighbor. Pada nearest neighbor digunakan rumus similarity untuk menghitung kedekatan antara pelamar dan lowongan pekerjaan berdasarkan pencocokan bobot san atribut yang ada. Output yang dihasilkan dari sistem ini berupa daftar rekomendasi pekerjaan yg sesuai dengan latar belakang pendidikan pelamar.

Abstract

Instagram adalah salah satu jenis media sosial yang populer digunakan oleh masyarakat, khususnya kaum milenial. Selain digunakan untuk tujuan ajang pertemanan dan sosial, Instagram juga dapat dimanfaatkan untuk tujuan bisnis, yakni belanja daring, dimana kaum milenial adalah pelanggan belanja daring yang memainkan peran penting dalam keberlangsungannya. Penelitian ini menyelidiki niat perilaku mereka dalam berbelanja daring. Dengan menerapkan Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) sebagai landasan teori, penelitian ini menggunakan empat variabel bebas, yakni sikap, norma subyektif, kontrol perilaku yang dirasakan, dan kepercayaan. Sedangkan niat perilaku dalam pembelanjaan daring berperan sebagai variabel tidak bebas. Dengan total sampel sebanyak 152 responden yang berasal dari kota Medan, Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi berganda sebagai teknik menganalisis data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hanya variabel kontrol perilaku yang dirasakan yang tidak mempengaruhi niat perilaku. Sebaliknya, variabel-variabel lainnya dinyatakan berpengaruh secara positif.

Abstract

Plastic is a polymer material widely used as a food and beverage packaging material due to the lightness and easy to use. The selection of quality plastic raw materials from industries engaged in plastic production are greatly affects the products produced. However, there are some mistakes occurred due to the selection process is carried out subjectively without any consideration, resulting in material losses for the company. The difficulty in determining superior plastic raw materials is one of them. The study attempts to select the best plastic raw materials using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. The research use five criteria for types of raw materials, namely: price, quality, production speed, plastic waste, location. Then, the plastic seeds brands used in this study are: Poly-max, El-pro, Titan, Polytan, and Trilene. The result of the study shows various result and present which seeds is the best to be used in the company.

Abstract

A Microcontroller Unit (MCU) plays an important role in technology developments. It used as the data input receiver, processing, and presenting data output tallied to the program built. Various MCUs are provided inmarket with numerous types and architectures of them. Hence, a decision model is necessity to aid the select the best between MCUs. The WASPAS Method was employed along with the CRITIC method as the objective weighting for the criteria. The criteria used are the instruction set, memory architecture, total of I/O pins, power consumption, price, RAM size, and processing speed. The result pointed out that ESP32 selected as the best MCU between the others. This study provides recommendations to prospective buyers or users to decide the best MCU

Abstract

The transportation sector is a sub-sector of the infrastructure sector, which plays an important role in economic development in Indonesia. In buying shares, investors must have the right considerations to choose the right and proper company. Thus, the emergence of a decision-making model to assist investors in purchasing shares is a necessity. The study used the MABAC method to select stock investments among 12 companies engaged in the transportation subsector on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The criteria used are several financial ratios, namely PER, DER, ROE, and DPR. On the other hand, the CRITIC method is used as a determinant of the weight value of each criterion. The results of the study show that PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk is the company that ranks first as the most appropriate company for buying shares.

Abstract

Malaria is the most dominant disease in Asia and Africa and may become a life-threatening disease for it suffers. The types of malaria such as Plasmodium Vivax, Plasmodium Ovale, Plasmodium Malariae, and Plasmodium Falciparum are mostly infected people around the world. These types of malaria have certain symptoms that drives difficulties for some patients to confirm which malaria that their infected. A clinical testing and medical diagnostic assessments may be performed to determine the types of malaria, but utilizing a system also brings some benefits for rural areas which lack of medical facilities. The study develops a system by implementing the Dempster Shafer method to determine types of malaria. We collected the knowledge from the experts including 18 possible symptoms along with the density value. This paper present 5 cases of sufferers and provide the system result with the possibilities of malaria types. The result pointed out a various percentage of malaria types that may infected to the patients.

Abstract

Nowadays, MADM or Multi-Attribute Decision Making as the part of decision-making theory has been used in various studies to examine decision making problems. Several methods such as SAW, ARAS, and MABAC are the most popular method to be selected to solve these decision-making problems, especially for personnel selection in a company or institute. However, these methods will certainly present various results. Hence, it is necessary to perform a comparison of the most optimal ranking results between these methods. The study focused on comparing those three methods in handling the personnel selection problem through the objective weighting by using SWARA method. The RSI method also employed to ensure the proper method to be used to solve the MADM problem. Five attributes are selected as the references to select best personnel among 38 of them, including Attendance, Discipline, Performance, Punishment, and Achievement. The study reveals that all of the three methods have the identical of RSI score. The results showed that the three methods had almost the same RSI values. The SAW method has the highest RSI value compared to other methods, namely 0.999489; the MABAC method has an RSI value of 0.999416, and the ARAS method with the lowest RSI value, namely 0.999052. Theoretical and practical implications are presented and discussed, along with suggestions for future research.

Abstract

Human Resources (HR) in a transportation companies may affect many aspects that determine work success, especially the drivers. Competition among drivers is getting tougher, hence the companies face difficulties in finding the best bus drivers. Nevertheless, the assessment still uses the traditional method, namely by using a book as the calculation. The study used the Simple Multi-Attribute Rating Technique (SMART) and Multi Factor Evaluation Process (MFEP) methods to rank drivers’ performance in terms of discipline, knowledge, loyalty, and years of service. The system used in this study also compares the two methods with the actual rank from the company. The population in this study was 90 respondent, with a sample data of 10 drivers. The results show that the SMART method is closer to manual ranking, which has 7 similarities out of 10 ranking sequences or 70% accuracy rate with the manual calculations. On the other hand, only 4 similarities out of 10 ranking se-quences were generated by the MFEP method. Thus, the MFEP method only has a 40% accuracy rate with manual calculations. To sum up, the research created a decision support system that has certainty in choosing the best bus driver to assists the leaders to find the best driver to get an exclusive bus.
