Abstract

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has a very important role in the world of education. Apart from being used as educational infrastructure, ICT can be used as a learning tool and facility so that it can provide alternative learning experiences that are more innovative, efficient, and enjoyable if used properly. One of the implementations of ICT in the world of education is the use of the Learning Management System (LMS) and Examview which can be used to help manage online-based learning. This Community Service aims to provide training to teachers at SMP Negeri 2 Sungailiat in using LMS and Examview as an effort to improve Information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills for SMP Negeri 2 Sungailiat teachers in the current era of digitalization. The service methods carried out include: 1) Designing and creating an LMS for SMP Negeri 2 Sungailiat, 2) Providing training on LMS management and using Examview for 3 days, and 3) Assisting teachers in managing the LMS. The result of this Community Service activity is an increase in teacher skills in managing learning using LMS and Examview as shown by the results of the observation that has been carried out. From the observation results, it was found that there was an increase in teacher skills in developing learning with LMS and Examview. Eighty Percent (80%) of teachers had succeeded in developing learning in the LMS that had been provided by the team and used the LMS to help the learning process at SMPN 2 Sungailiat.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to empower the karang taruna of Kemuja village through digital marketing training for agricultural products using Canva. Kemuja village still faces challenges in effectively developing their agribusiness. To address this issue, we conducted a training program focused on enhancing digital graphic design skills and marketing strategies using Canva. The training was held at the Kemuja village office, involving 11 Karang Taruna members as primary participants. The program included theoretical sessions on the basics of digital marketing and hands-on practice using Canva to create promotional materials such as posters, brochures, social media content, and more. The training methods included lectures, group discussions, and practical exercises, with the goal of enabling participants to optimally use Canva to expand their product promotions in the digital market. The evaluation of the training activity was conducted using a Likert scale-based instrument with 20 items, where the scale values are: 1. Strongly Disagree; 2. Disagree; 3. Neutral; 4. Agree; 5. Strongly Agree. The average score of participant satisfaction was 4.58 out of 5, indicating that the participants found the training very beneficial and relevant for their agribusiness development. In conclusion, the empowerment of the karang taruna of Kemuja village through Canva training has proven effective in enhancing their digital skills and marketing capacity, ultimately supporting the development of digital-based agribusiness in the village.

Abstract

In order to find out the alcohol content in drinks circulating in the community, measurements and tests are usually carried out in the laboratory. This takes quite a long time. To solve this problem, we need a tool that can measure alcohol quickly and accurately. This research aims to design and manufacture a detector for the percentage of alcohol content, especially in drinks, using an IoT (Internet of Thing)-based MQ3 sensor as a monitoring system that is connected directly to a smartphone. The method used in this research is PID (Proportional Integral Derivative). By setting the PID tuning with a value of kp=4, ki=3, kd=0.0001 and a setpoint of 210 is used to produce an optimal reading of the alcohol content in the drink. Readings using PID control have an average error value of 1.26%, otherwise without using PID control, the average error value is 8.12%. In order to see the alcohol content of the experimental results of the type of drink detected, it will be displayed on the blynk application on the smartphone.

Abstract

  This research aims to design a multifunctional device based on the Internet of Things (IoT) that utilizes Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) method to simultaneously measure body fat percentage, body temperature, and blood oxygen levels. The device is equipped with a bioimpedance sensor to measure body fat percentage, as well as integrated temperature and oxygen sensors to detect body temperature and blood oxygen levels. Testing the device yielded highly satisfactory results with a high level of accuracy, including weight at 99.32%, height at 99.83%, body fat percentage at 97.96%, non-fat mass at 97.45%, total body water at 99.86%, body temperature at 98.61%, and oxygen levels at 99.83%. Measurement results are displayed on an LCD screen and transmitted to the Telegram application through the IoT platform. By integrating BIA, IoT, and multi-functional sensors, it is anticipated that this device can provide accurate and integrated measurements, contributing to more effective health monitoring.

Abstract

The application of Internet of Things (IoT) technology in catfish pond water quality monitoring systems is very important to support the success of cultivation. This research aims to design an IoT-based system capable of monitoring temperature, pH, and ammonia parameters in real-time to ensure optimal water conditions. The methods used include the design and integration of hardware such as temperature, and pH with ESP32 module, as well as software development using MIT App Inventor and Arduino IDE for data monitoring through applications and web platforms. The test results show that the system has a high level of accuracy, with an average accuracy of 99.78% on the pH sensor and 99.89% on the temperature sensor. The data collected in real-time is displayed on the LCD screen and can be accessed through the mobile application, making it easier to manage the pool. The system activate automatic equipment such as aerators and pumps to efficiently address unsuitable conditions. The application of IoT to catfish pond water quality monitoring has successfully improved operational efficiency and enabled management that is more responsive to environmental changes.

Abstract

The integration of Internet of Things (IoT)-based systems in educational environments represents a strategic approach to improving time management efficiency. This study presents the design and implementation of an IoT-based automatic school bell and class scheduling system, controllable remotely via a mobile application. The system utilizes a NodeMCU ESP32 microcontroller as the main control unit, a DFPlayer Mini for automated audio playback, an LED Dot Matrix display for schedule visualization, and a speaker for audio output. The user interface is developed using the Blynk platform, and all programming is conducted through the Arduino IDE. Experimental results demonstrate that the system operates reliably, rings the bell in accordance with predefined schedules, and displays real-time schedule information. Furthermore, the integration of mobile control enhances user flexibility and operational convenience. This system contributes to the automation and optimization of scheduling tasks within educational institutions.

Abstract

This Community Service Program aims to increase the productivity and competitiveness of the agricultural sector in Banyu Asin Village, Riau Silip District, Bangka Regency. This village, with an area of ??3,354 hectares, has 1,706 hectares of agricultural land, including 106 hectares of rice fields, but faces challenges in the form of the use of traditional technology, limited modern agricultural tools, a suboptimal business management system, and limited marketing access. The main problems faced include three aspects: (1) Production sector - the rice harvesting and drying process is still manual, resulting in low efficiency and the risk of crop loss, especially during the rainy season; (2) Business management sector - lack of understanding of financial management and optimization of BUMDes which is not yet optimal. The program implementation method uses a participatory approach with five stages: socialization, training, technology application, mentoring and evaluation, and program sustainability. The implemented solutions included modernizing production technology through the procurement of modern agricultural equipment, implementing a rice-growing system for income diversification, and optimizing village-owned enterprises (BUMDes).The program's implementation demonstrated significant achievements, including: (1) Transferring appropriate technology through the construction of a rotary drum rice dryer with a capacity of 50-100 kg/batch, which can overcome weather dependence in drying; (2) Developing a rice harvesting aid using a modified grass cutter with a storage container, which increases harvesting efficiency by 5-10 times; (3) Implementing a rice-growing system on a 0.25 hectare plot of land with 1,000 tilapia fish, integrating rice cultivation and fisheries.This program successfully increased farmers' production capacity, reduced crop losses, and diversified income through the rice-growing system. This activity supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically poverty alleviation, food security, and economic growth. It also aligns with the university's Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for student and faculty experiences outside of campus. This community service program is expected to serve as a model for other villages to replicate in implementing appropriate, sustainable agricultural technology, while contributing to improving farmer welfare and regional food security.

Abstract

This research focuses on developing an interactive augmented reality learning media to address the problem of low learning interest and understanding of science concepts at SDS Maria Goretti Sungailiat, particularly on the topics of photosynthesis, energy transformation, states of matter, and force effects. The augmented reality application was developed through six stages of MDLC - concept, design, material collecting, assembly, testing, and distribution - using Unity 3D and Vuforia as the AR development platform, Canva for graphic design, and Autodesk Maya for 3D object modeling. After undergoing functionality and compatibility testing, the application was confirmed to work properly. Subsequent User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with 34 fourth-grade students at SDS Maria Goretti showed that this media successfully improved students' understanding by 87.4%, proving that the use of AR can be an effective solution for visualizing abstract science concepts to make them easier to comprehend.

Abstract

Blended learning merupakan metode pembelajaran yang mengkombinasi pembelajaran tatap muka synchronous dengan pembelajaran asynchronous yang dapat meningkatkan kegiatan dan hasil pembelajaran siswa. Akan tetapi, dari hasil survey dan pengamatan di lapangan, masih ada guru sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Pemali yang belum memahami bagaimana mengimplementasikan blended learning terutama pada pembelajaran asynchronous dengan memanfaatkan teknologi informasi. Sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru di Kecamatan Pemali dalam mendesain pembelajaran secara blended learning, maka dilaksanakanlah Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) yang berupa kegiatan Pelatihan dan Pendampingan Pembelajaran Berbasis Blended Learning yang lokasi pelaksanaannya adalah di SDN 1 dan SDN 7 Pemali. Selain kegiatan pelatihan, dilakukan pula pengembangan Learning Management System (LMS) yang siap digunakan oleh guru dalam melaksanakan blended learning. Jumlah guru yang mengikuti program ini sebanyak 34 guru yang berasal dari 17 sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Pemali. Program ini berhasil terlaksana dengan baik karena berdasarkan hasil kuisioner menunjukkan guru dapat memahami dan mampu mendesain pembelajaran dengan blended learning.
