Abstract

DC motors (Direct Current) have become a key component in various industrial applications and electronic devices. With technological advancements, monitoring and maintenance of DC motors have become increasingly important to ensure efficient operation and prevent unexpected failures. One way to enhance DC motor monitoring is by integrating RPM and temperature sensors, which can provide crucial information regarding the motor's operational conditions. This research aims to develop a tool for detecting the condition of DC motors by comparing temperature and motor speed variables. The components used in assembling this device include an IR Obstacle Sensor, Thermocouple Sensor, ESP32 Microcontroller, I2C LCD, and Servo. The working principle of this research tool involves connecting it to a 220V power source, then switching the ON/OFF switch. Once the device receives power, the sensors and other components will be ready, indicating that they are prepared to read the pre-programmed instructions. For testing the device, first, the DC motor is activated by setting the PWM value between 0-255. Then, the thermocouple sensor and RPM sensor will read the motor's condition when the DC motor is on, which will be displayed on the LCD. If the DC motor temperature exceeds 50°C, the LED will turn ON, indicating that the motor's temperature is above 50°C and providing information on the motor's speed.Keywords: ESP32, K-Type Thermocouple, RPM, DC Motor, IoT

Abstract

The problem of air pollution is one of the negative health impacts that occur in society. The high level of population allows active smokers to increase. This is also exacerbated by the growing development of buildings which causes a reduction in green space that functions as a filter for dirty air. To keep the air clean, several efforts are made such as planting trees outdoors and using air filters for indoors. This research is made to create a design tool that will be a detector for the presence of cigarette smoke and will suction the air if smoke and dust are detected. With the use of the NodeMCU ESP8266 microcontroller as a G2y1010 dust sensor data reader, MQ-135 gas sensor and DHT 22 temperature sensor which will process inputs and produce outputs based on fuzzy logic control rules. Equipped with a room fragrance after the filtering process is complete as a complement to the comfort process in the room.In addition, an alarm notification system will also be raised as a warning if cigarette smoke is detected.Keywords: automatic system, water truck, ultrasonic sensor, infrared sensor, air filling efficiency

Abstract

Clean water is an important aspect of the human body, around 60-70% of the total composition of other elements. The availability of drinking water of adequate quality is a primary human need to maintain health and well-being, however, there is a lot of drinking water that is not suitable for consumption according to its suitability. The supply of clean water is also starting to run low while the use of clean water is increasing. The aim of designing this monitoring system is to produce a tool that can monitor water quality. This system was created using other devices including Arduino Mega 2560, Esp32 microcontroller, turbidity sensor, TDS meter sensor, flow meter sensor, and float switch sensor and using the Internet. Things with Blynk as the notification output and LCD as the display. This system is expected to help users find out the quality of the water they use.Keywords: Clean water, ESP32, Turbidity, TDS Meter, Flow Meter
