Abstract

In Physics subjects, so far students have studied, among other things, electronic circuits and an introduction to electronic components without any visual simulations using special electronics media or software. The minimal availability of supporting learning media hinders the creation of effective learning activities. To overcome the lack of availability of laboratory equipment at SMA NEGERI 14 MEDAN, especially for dynamic electrical circuit experiments, software called Electronic Workbench 5.12 was used which was developed in the form of a simulation. With the service activities carried out, it is hoped that students will be able to understand electronic design, be able to assemble simple electronic components using Electronic Workbench

Abstract

With current technological developments, each agency is expected to be able to create a regional revenue and expenduture budget information system. The budget information system and regional expenditure revenue can help government agencies, especially the sub-district office in Medan, in making budget financial reports and realization reports, so as to facilitate programming of VB Net and MySQL databases. The facilitation contained in this regional revenue and expenditure budget information sustem includes input of budget account data, budget transaction forms, realization forms, budget reports and budget realization reports. Main Key : information systems, vasual basic.net 2010, mysql, regional APBD, Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget.

Abstract

UMKM merupakan penunjang perekonomian Nasional. UMKM merupakan usaha yang tidak akan goyah walau kondisi ekonomi tidak stabil. UMKM di desa Marendal II Deli Serdang belum sepenuhnya mengalami perkembangan. Beberapa usaha mereka masih dikatagorikan masih sederhana. Dimana mereka belum memahami bahwasannya menjaga hubungan dengan konsumen sama pentingnya dengan menjaga hubunga baik juga dengan distributor. Penyusunan produk yang dicari konsumen harus lebih terlihat dari pintu masuk toko. Sosialisasi yang kami lakukan memberi himbauan agar merubah pola pikir dan pelayanan yang selama ini mereka lakukan agar lebih ditingkatkan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah metode ceramah konvensional. Metode ceramah digunakan untuk menyampaikan cara cara mengembangkan usaha mereka dari segi pelayanan, penyusunan barang toko dan pemanfaatan teknologi berupa Grup Whats app dan Instagram.

Abstract

Basic Physics learning often faces challenges in improving students' conceptual understanding and analytical skills. The Jupyter Notebook application, which offers a Python-based interactive environment, is an innovative alternative to solve this problem. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the use of Jupyter Notebook in learning Basic Physics in first-year students in college. The research method used is quasi-experimental with a mixed-method approach. The results of the study show that the application of Jupyter Notebook improves students' conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills, and learning motivation.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan mengenalkan digital marketing kepada siswa dan siswi sekaligus meningkatkan kompetensi mereka di bidang berwirausaha. Kegiatan ini mengasilkan empat kompetensi yaitu keterampilan berpikir kritis, keterampilan kreativitas, keterampilan berkomunikasi, serta keterampilan berkolaborasi. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di SMU Negeri 14 Medan dengan sasaran siswa dan siswi kelas XII berjalan dengan lancar, bahkan siswa dan siswi sangat antusias mengikutinya dan berlomba lomba mendesain promosi produk melalui platform canva. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dengan metode ceramah yang memberikan penjelasan mengenai teori dan pengalaman di bidang digital marketing, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan pelatihan langsung membuat bentuk promosi, harga dan tampilan produk. Pada sesi terakhir siswa diharuskan menjelaskan hasil dari tampilan digital marketing mereka secara berkelompok Kegiatan yang menghabiskan waktu kurang lebih 4 jam ini menghasilkan pemahaman kepada siswa dibidang digital marketing dengan harapan kelak akan menjadi ilmu mereka jika ingin berwirausaha nantinya.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)-based physics learning models in improving students' critical thinking skills. Using quantitative and qualitative approaches, this study involved two groups of physics education students in the second semester at Budi Darma University, namely an experimental class using a STEM-based model and a control class using conventional methods. The research instruments include pretest and posttest, observation, and interview. The results showed a significant improvement in critical thinking skills in the experimental group compared to the control group. These findings show that the STEM approach can be used as an effective strategy in developing high-level thinking skills in students

Abstract

The objectives of this study are: (1) To determine the differences in generic skills due to the effects of the GI type cooperative learning model and the DI model in class XI of SMA Negeri 3 Medan (2). To determine the differences in generic skills of students who have high laboratory skills and low generic skills in class XI of SMA Negeri 3 Medan (3) To determine whether there is an interaction between the GI type cooperative learning model and the DI learning model with laboratory skills on students' generic skills. The sampling technique used a purposive sample consisting of two classes with a total sample of 72 students. The research instrument was a learning achievement test and a questionnaire on students' generic skills. The test used to obtain data was in the form of multiple choices. The data in the study were analyzed using SPSS 28 with two-way ANOVA. The results of the ANOVA test obtained: 1. The generic skills of learning physics of students taught with the GI type cooperative learning model are higher than the physics learning achievement of students taught with the DI learning model. 2. The physics learning achievement of students who have high generic skills is higher than the physics learning achievement of students who have low generic skills. 3. There is an interaction between the GI type cooperative learning model and laboratory skills on students' generic skills.

Abstract

Computer media in the teaching and learning process in the classroom, can solve learning problems, namely, changing student learning patterns to be more effective by increasing knowledge and skills and can increase student motivation and ultimately can enhance student learning outcomes. EWB (Electronic Work Bench) is a type of electronic software used to simulate the workings of an electrical circuit. The need for electrical circuit simulation is to test whether the electrical circuit can run properly and in accordance with the theoretical approach used in electronic books, without having to make the electrical circuit in reality. The availability of minimal supporting learning media hinders the creation of effective learning activities so that the research team uses Electronic Workbench media in designing electronic components with targeted success. Students at Budi Darma University gave enthusiastic responses to this training seen from the number of student attendance and their response during the training and were able to understand electronic design, able to assemble simple electronic components using Electronic Workbench.

Abstract

Evaluate the impact of using GeoGebra as learning media on students' understanding of mathematical concepts and their engagement in the learning process. The method used in this study was experimental research with a pre-test and post-test design, where students were given problem-based tasks that were solved using GeoGebra. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test to assess the improvement of students' understanding of mathematical concepts, as well as observation to evaluate students' engagement during the learning process. The results showed that the use of GeoGebra in the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model significantly improved students' understanding of mathematical concepts, with an average increase in understanding scores of 25%. The findings support the integration of GeoGebra with the PBL model as an effective strategy in learning mathematics in secondary schools.
