Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of student motivation and learning outcomes by using the Project Based Learning at SMP Negeri 1 Sape. The research method that will be used in this study is a quasi-experimental research with a descriptive quantitative approach. The research design uses the Posttest Only Control Group Design form, the sample to be used in this study consists of two classes, namely the VIIIA experimental class of 25 students and the VIIIB Control Class of 28 students. The types of instruments used in this study are questionnaires and learning outcomes tests. Data analysis in this study used prerequisite tests, namely normality test, homogeneity test. To test the correctness of the hypothesis, the help of statistical analysis of ManovaSPSS v.22.0 was used.Based on hypothesis testing using the SPSS v.22 Manova test, it is known that the value of learning outcomes Sig. 0.081 or 0.081˃0.05, it can be concluded that titung˂ttabel then H0 is accepted and Ha is rejected. Likewise, in the learning motivation hypothesis test there is a sig value. 0.369 or 0.369˃0.05 which means H0 is accepted and Ha is rejected. Thus it can be concluded that there is no difference in the effect of motivation and learning outcomes of students taught using the Project Based Learning learning model in the experimental class and students taught using conventional learning in the control class. This study aims to determine the effect of student motivation and learning outcomes by using the Project Based Learning at SMP Negeri 1 Sape. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model Reciprocal Teaching terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa SMP. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian eksperimen semu. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan control group pretest and posttest design. Penelitian ini menggunakan satu kelas eksperimen dan satu kelas kontrol. Pada kelas eksperimen diberi perlakuan pembelajaran dengan model Reciprocal Teaching, sedangkan kelas kontrol diberi perlakuan pembelajaran dengan pembelajaran konvensional dengan metode diskusi, ceramah dan tanya jawab. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Kota Bima. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah cluster random sampling, sehingga diperoleh kelas VIII C sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIII B sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes uraian. Uji hipotesis menggunakan uji independent sample t-test. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model Reciprocal Teaching berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa di SMP Negeri 8 Kota Bima.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika pada materi Sudut dan Garis di SMP Negeri 8 Kota Bima. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode pre-eksperimental yang desainnya memberikan perlakuan tertentu kepada satu kelompok dengan memberikan pretest dan postest. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 8 Kota Bima sejumlah 82 orang. Sampel yang dipilih adalah kelas VIIC sejumlah 25 orang yang diperoleh melalui teknik simple random sampling. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa lembar tes dan lembar observasi. Teknik analisis data penelitian ini adalah uji normalitas, uji hipotesis (uji-t) jika data berdistribusi normal dan jika data tidak berdistribusi normal menggunakan uji wilcoxon (uji-w). Dari hasil perhitungan uji-w diperoleh Thitung = 9 < Ttabel = 89 dengan n =25 pada taraf signifkan 5%. Berdasarkan kriteria pengujian hipotesis Ho ditolak atau Ha diterima sehingga hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa pada materi sudut dan garis di SMP negeri 8 Kota Bima.

Abstract

Understanding abstract concepts is still a major challenge in learning science and mathematics at the elementary school level. This study aims to test the effectiveness of a STEM-based Collaborative Learning approach to improving students' understanding of abstract concepts. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design, involving 25 fifth-grade students from an elementary school in Jakarta who were selected through purposive sampling. The research instruments consisted of abstract concept comprehension tests (pretest and posttest), collaborative involvement observation sheets, and student participation questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out quantitatively using a paired sample t-test and supported by thematic qualitative analysis. The results showed that there was a significant increase in the abstract concept comprehension score, with an average pretest score of 62.2 increasing to 75.9 on the posttest. The t-test results obtained a value of t = -45.0 with p <0.001, which indicates the statistical effectiveness of the intervention. Observations and questionnaires showed high student involvement in group discussions and collaborative application of concepts. The conclusion of this study is that STEM-based Collaborative Learning is able to facilitate the learning of abstract concepts in a more meaningful and participatory way. Suggestions for further research are to test the effectiveness of this approach at different levels and to explore its integration with digital technology to strengthen students' absorption of abstract, cross-disciplinary material.

Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian eksperimen semu. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan Control Group Pretest and Posttest Design. Penelitian ini menggunakan satu kelas eksperimen dan satu kelas kontrol. Pada kelas eksperimen diberi perlakuan pembelajaran dengan model Snowball Drilling dengan strategi Work Backwards, sedangkan kelas kontrol diberi perlakuan pembelajaran dengan pembelajaran konvensional dengan metode diskusi, ceramah dan tanya jawab. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 7 Kota Bima. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah Cluster Random Sampling, sehingga diperoleh kelas VII B sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VII A sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes uraian. Uji hipotesis menggunakan uji independent sample t-test. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model Snowball Drilling  dengan strategi Work Backwards berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa di SMP Negeri 7 Kota Bima.

Abstract

The low level of numeracy literacy among students in the city of Bima and West Nusa Tenggara requires more contextual and relevant learning innovations that are relevant to local life and culture. This study aims to develop an Project Based Learning (PjBL) based ethno-STEM to improve the numeracy literacy of elementary school students. The research method used a research and development approach, which included needs analysis, model design, expert validation, limited trials, and effectiveness testing at SDN 11 Kota Bima. Data collection instruments consisted of questionnaires, observation sheets, and numeracy literacy tests. The validity test results showed that the Project Based Learning (PjBL) based ethno-STEM met the criteria for content, language, and implementation feasibility. The application of the model in field trials provided a significant improvement in students' numeracy literacy skills compared to conventional learning, as indicated by higher post-test scores and positive responses from teachers and students. These findings confirm that the integration of local culture in project-based learning effectively improves students' understanding of mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills. This study concludes that the Project Based Learning (PjBL) based ethno-STEM can be an alternative contextual and relevant learning innovation to improve numeracy literacy in elementary schools

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII A di SMPN 3 Sape tahun pelajaran 2023/2024 melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Project-Based Learning (PjBL). Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilakukan 3 siklus. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII A di SMPN 3 Sape. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan lembar observasi, angket untuk mengukur minat belajar dan tes untuk mengukur hasil belajar, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada minat dan hasil belajar siswa setelah penerapan model pembelajaran PjBL. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa PjBL efektif dalam meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar siswa, serta merekomendasikan penerapan model ini dalam pembelajaran di sekolah untuk mencapai hasil belajar yang lebih baik. Selain itu, dukungan dari pihak sekolah dan pelatihan bagi guru tentang PjBL juga dianggap penting untuk kesuksesan penerapan model pembelajaran ini. Penelitian lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk mengevaluasi keberlanjutan dan efektivitas jangka panjang dari penerapan PjBL serta mengkaji faktor-faktor lain yang dapat mempengaruhi keberhasilan model ini.
