Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the Problem Based Learning-Audio Visual approach in improving science skills. The research method used is quantitative. The type of research used is a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The sample in this study was fourth-grade students in one of the elementary schools in Maros Regency, amounting to 44 people. Data collection techniques used tests to determine students' science problem-solving abilities. The data collected were analyzed quantitatively using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of descriptive statistical data analysis showed that the average value of the scientific problem-solving ability of the experimental class was 88.26, and the control class was 72.38. At the same time, the results of inferential statistical data analysis showed the value of sig. On problem solving ability less than 0.05 with a t value of 10.228 greater than t table 1.681. This means that there is an increase in the ability to solve science problems through applying the Problem Based Learning-Audio Visual approach.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Guided Inquiry learning model on students' critical thinking skills and science learning outcomes. The type of research used is quasi-experimental research with nonequivalent control group design. The sampling technique is a saturated sample, namely fifth grade students of public elementary school 9 West Bangkala, Jeneponto Regency, totaling 56 students. Research data were analyzed through descriptive analysis and inferential analysis using SPSS 22. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the use of guided inquiry learning models can improve critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes compared to those without using the guided inquiry learning model. The results of the study using the inquiry learning model had an effect on critical thinking skills and science learning outcomes for fifth grade students of public elementary school 9 Bangkala Barat, Jeneponto Regency.

Abstract

This research is a quasi-experimental study with the form of nonequivalent control group design which was conducted to determine the effect of the quantum teaching learning model on the science process skills of fifth grade elementary school students with the concept of heat transfer. The number of samples was 34, with the experimental class applying the quantum teaching model namely fifth grade students at SDN 216 Dualimpoe 17 people, and the control class applying direct learning coming from fifth grade students at SDN 54 Dualimpoe totaling 17 people. The results of the descriptive analysis of experimental class students obtained an average KPS posttest score of 68.12 with an n-gain score of 0.54 in the medium category. While the control class got an average KPS posttest of 48.29 and an n-gain score of 0.21 in the low category. For the results of inferential analysis after passing the prerequisite test, the hypothesis test using the t-test obtained a sig value. is 0.000 <0.05 and the t value is 15.802> 2.1199 t table so it can be concluded that there is an effect of the quantum teaching model on science process skills for elementary school students on the concept of heat transfer

Abstract

Education plays a pivotal role in shaping individuals capable of bringing positive change to society. Quality of learning is crucial in achieving this goal, particularly in the subject of Science (IPA), where appropriate learning approaches stimulate conceptual understanding and critical thinking skills. The Discovery Learning model has garnered attention as an interactive approach that fosters learner-centered environments. This quasi-experimental study investigates the effectiveness of Discovery Learning on critical thinking skills among fifth-grade students in IPA. Two experimental groups, one using Discovery Learning and the other conventional methods, were compared. Results indicated significant improvement in critical thinking skills among the experimental group, supported by descriptive and inferential analyses. Findings underscore the efficacy of Discovery Learning in enhancing critical-thinking abilities, paving the way for more effective educational strategies. Keywords: discovery learning; critical thinking skills.

Abstract

The study's objective was to examine how the Project Based Learning Model affected the scientific literacy and learning outcomes of class IV SDI Hombes Armed, Gowa Regency students with regard to the concept of energy sources. This kind of study makes use of desalin Desalin is the non-equivalent control group. There were 60 samples in total for this study, with 30 individuals in the experimental class and 30 in the control group. A learning achievement test was used to measure learning outcomes, questions about scientific literacy were used to assess scientific literacy skills, and documentation was also used. Descriptive statistical methods, inferential analysis, and hypothesis testing are the data analysis techniques employed. The Malcal 0,000 0,05 Manova hypothesis test resulted. The conclusion that there was an impact on the learning model of Project Balsed Learning on copy literacy abilities and student learning outcomes in the first place on the learning of IPAl class IV SDI Hombes Alrmed led to Ho's rejection in terms of acceptance. Therefore, it can be said that learning with the project-balanced learning model has an impact on students' learning outcomes in the class IV SDI Hombes Alrmed material related to the concept of energy sources as well as their scientific literacy abilities.

Abstract

The type of research is a Quasy Experimental Designwhich aims to determine comparison of the Group Investigation Cooperative Learning Model with Two Stay Two Stray Model on Student Learning Outcomes of Biology Digestive System Concepts in Class XI SMAN 3 Gowa. The population this study were all students of class XI MIA SMAN 3 Gowa and the sample of this study was Class XI MIA 1 as the experimental I which was given the Group Investigation learning model and XI MIA 2 with the Two Stay Two Stray model as the experimental II with technique sampling using random sampling. The data collected is about student learning outcomes which are then analyzed using descriptive statistical and inferential statistical. The results showed that the percentage value of students' completeness in the posttest experimental I was 10.59% of students who completed while in the experimental II, 10.57% of students who completed. The results of the t-test using the independent t-test showed the results of 0.096, so 0.000 <0.05, the hypothesis of this study was accepted.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the effect of the discovery learning model on critical thinking skills and science learning outcomes regarding the concept of environmental change in fifth-grade students at Gugus 1, Mangarabombang District, Takalar Regency. This study employs a quantitative research design using a Quasi-Experimental Design with a Posttest Only Control Group Design. The population consists of 132 fifth-grade students, and the sample of 44 students was selected using purposive sampling. Data collection techniques involved tests and observations. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical methods. The results of the research indicate that the critical thinking skills and science learning outcomes are parametric data, which were tested using the Independent Samples Test, obtaining significance values of 0.000 0.05 and 0.039 0.05, respectively. Therefore, there is a partial effect of the discovery learning model on critical thinking skills and science learning outcomes in the environmental change concept for fifth-grade students at Gugus 1, Mangarabombang District, Takalar Regency. Additionally, the MANOVA test yielded a significance value of 0.000 0.05, rejecting H0 and accepting H1. This indicates that there is a simultaneous effect of the discovery learning model on critical thinking skills and science learning outcomes.
