Abstract

Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero) Medan.Kata Kunci: Sistem ERP; Kualitas Informasi Akuntansi; PTPN III (Persero) Medan.

Abstract

The hands are one of the most susceptible parts of the human body to bacterial infection. One way to maintain health is to maintain hand hygiene. Ethanolic rambutan rind extract from Aceh province has been studied in order to determine if it can inhibit bacterial growth. This research was conducted to determine the antiseptic activity of the ethanol extract of rambutan rind against Stahpylococcus aureus by determining the phenol coefficient and determining whether the ethanolic extract of Acehs rambutan rind can be formulated into a hand sanitizer gel. Antiseptic activity testing was performed using the Rideal-Walker method which was carried out in 5 dilutions (1:100, 1:150, 1:200, 1:250 and 1:300). The absorbance measurement showed that the extract could act as an antiseptic, at a concentration of 1% and at a dilution of 1:200 which has phenol coefficient of 1.67. The ethanolic extract of Acehs rambutan rind can be formulated in the form of a hand sanitizer gel using 1% Carbopol as gelling agent. The results showed that the gel was brown with a distinctive menthol odor and changed into a dark brown color after a cycling test. The evaluation results of all formulas appropriated the requirements except for adhesion parameter. The results of the irritation test showed that the volunteers did not experience any signs of irritation. The results of the preference test showed that the respondents liked the shape and aroma parameters but not the color parameter.

Abstract

This research conducts a comparative analysis of the metaphors used in Alfred Lord Tennyson's poem "Tears, Idle Tears" and Emily Dickinson's "After Great Pain, a Formal Feeling Comes." Metaphor is a powerful literary device for conveying emotions and abstract meanings, often reflecting the social context and personal experiences of the poet. It explores how male and female poets confront themes of emotional pain, trauma, and loss, influenced by gender dynamics. Tennyson's work encapsulates nostalgia and loss through romantic imagery, subtly challenging Victorian gender norms by depicting male vulnerability. In contrast, Dickinson’s poem portrays emotional numbness and self-defense following trauma, reflecting the rigid societal expectations on women to maintain composure despite inner turmoil. The research employs a descriptive-qualitative approach to examine how the poets use metaphors to express their emotional states, highlighting the perspective of gender. While Tennyson’s metaphors emphasize existential longing and an introspective view of masculinity, Dickinson's metaphors focus on the suppression of pain and emotional distance, illustrating the social pressures on women to conceal their suffering.

Abstract

Indonesia has around 17,500 islands spread throughout the archipelago and a coastline that stretches for 81,000 km, more than half of Indonesia's total area is sea and water. This geographical condition makes Indonesia a country that has rich marine resources. However, challenges such as illegal fishing and lack of empowerment of coastal communities threaten the sustainability of the fisheries sector. Implementing the Blue Economy concept is the key to achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through a literature study, this article investigates strategies for implementing the Blue Economy in empowering communities in Indonesia to achieve the SDGs, especially goal 14: Life Below Water. Strategic steps are needed such as increasing supervision, developing technology and building infrastructure to improve community welfare and maintain the sustainability of marine resources. With great potential in the aquaculture sector, Indonesia can realize the vision of sustainable development through collaboration between various parties and the application of innovative and sustainable Blue Economy principles.
