Abstract

ABSTRACT Intensitas sinar matahari di Indonesia yang tinggi banyak menimbulkan dampak pada kulit. Dampak yang sering ditimbulkan pada kulit yaitu hiperpigmentasi (flek), menua lebih dini, dan berisiko terkena tumor serta kanker. Minyak biji matahari merupakan salah satu antioksidan yang dihasilkan dari tanaman bunga matahari, mempunyai kandungan vitamin E, asam oleat dan asam linoleat. Pada penelitian ini dibuat formulasi sediaan masker sheet nanogel untuk meningkatkan stabilitas dengan ukuran partikel yang kecil dan penyerapan dari kandungan senyawa sediaan yang diformulasikan menjadi masker sheet nanogel minyak biji matahari. Variasi konsentrasi minyak biji matahari yang digunakan yaitu F I 2,5%, F II 5% dan F III 7,5%. Evaluasi yang dilakukan meliputi karakteristik fisik meliputi analisa PSA, organoleptis, homogenitas, pH, viskositas, daya lekat, daya sebar dan indeks iritasi menggunakan tikus jantan galur wistar. Data dianalisis menggunakan SPSS 16,0 dengan Oneway anova dan uji T berpasangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan semua sediaan nanogel berwarna kuning jernih, berbau khas dengan ukuran partikel F I 16,84 nm; F II 11,34 nm; F III 10,67 nm. Pada uji statistik menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan (p>0,05) terhadap semua sifat fisik sediaan. Pada penentuan indeks iritasi menunjukkan semua sediaan tidak menimbulkan iritasi pada kulit tikus. Kata kunci : Minyak biji matahari, nanogel, masker sheet, karakteristik fisik, indeks iritasi

Abstract

ABSTRACT Acne is a skin disease keratinization disorder and inflammation caused by the bacterium Staphylococcus aureus. Sweet orange (Citrus sinensis (L.) Osbeck) is one of the plants that can be used as an antimicrobial. This research aims to make preparations gel peel-off mask ethanol extract of sweet orange peel as an acne medicine and evaluate the physical properties as well as antibacterial activity against S. aureus. Gel formulations peel-off mask ethanol extract of sweet orange peel extract was made with varying concentrations of 15%, 25% and 35%. Gel peel-off masks tested in terms of physical properties, namely organoleptic, homogeneity, pH, dispersive power, time dries and viscosity. Antibacterial activity test was conducted using wells. Data were analyzed by one-way ANOVA with 95% confidence level. The results showed that the peel- off mask gel has antibacterial activity with an average diameter of zone 15% inhibitory concentration (1.349 cm), a concentration of 25% (1.69 cm), the concentration of 35% (2.034 cm), the positive control (2.769 cm ) and negative controls (1.1 cm). Statistical analysis showed that the increased concentration of the extract in the formula effect was significantly (p <0.05) on the antibacterial activity.

Abstract

Most of the yellow watermelon skin only becomes waste. Yellow watermelon peel can be processed into a product so that it can still be utilized. The ability of watermelon peel to inhibit the Staphylococcus aureus bacteria and its ability as an antioxidant, can create the idea of a peel off gel mask product. The purpose of this study was to determine the optimum composition of Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) as a film forming layer and Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose (HPMC) as a gelling agent for the physical properties of peel off gel mask product. Yellow watermelon skin extraction was carried out by remaceration with ethanol96% solvent combination and d-α-tocopherol. The response parameters used in the optimization assessment of the preparation are dispersion, adhesion, pH, dry time. The optimum formula is obtained based on analysis with Design Expert 10.0 software. The optimum formula of peel off gel mask ethanol extract of yellow watermelon peel had dispersion dameter of 4.77 cm; adhesion of 3,87 seconds; dry time was 5.98 minutes and pH was 5.90. This formula can maintain chlorophyll levels from watermelon skin extract in a gel peel off mask.

Abstract

Daun jati cina yang biasa dikenal sebagai pelangsing memiliki kandungan senyawa fenolik yang cukup tinggi. Adanya kandungan fenolik ini membuat daun jati cina menarik untuk digali lebih lanjut potensinya sebagai tabir surya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan kandungan fenolik total dan flavonoid total serta potensi tabir surya dengan nilai sun protection factor (SPF), persen transmisi eritema (% Te) dan persen transmisi pigmentasi (% Tp) daun jati cina yang dimaserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 50%, 70% dan 96%. Metode penetapan kadar fenolik total menggunakan Folin-Ciocalteu dengan standar asam galat sedangkan flavonoid total menggunakan AlCl3 dengan standar rutin. Penentuan nilai SPF, % Te dan % Tp menggunakan metode spektrofotometri Uv-Vis. Hasil pengukuran total fenolik ekuivalen asam galat dan total flavonoid ekuivalen rutin pada pelarut etanol 50%, 70% dan 96% berturut turut adalah 7,10 mg EAG (ekivalen asam galat)/g dan 65,10 mg ER (ekivalen rutin)/g; 7,96 mg EAG/g dan 23,16 mg ER/g serta 14,83 mg EAG/g dan 155,17 mg ER/g. Ekstraksi dengan pelarut etanol 96% mampu menarik senyawa fenolik dan flavonoid tertinggi dibandingkan yang lain. Nilai SPF pada pelarut etanol 50%, 70% dan 96% berturut turut adalah 17,63; 15,88 dan 23,89. Nilai % Te dan % Tp pada pelarut etanol 50%, 70% dan 96% berturut turut adalah 6,29% dan 3,64%; 9,51% dan 7,00% serta 1,91% dan 0,97%. Nilai SPF daun jati cina pada semua konsentrasi pelarut etanol memiliki kategori ultra karena berada pada nilai di atas 15 dengan nilai SPF terbaik pada ekstraksi dengan pelarut etanol 96%. Nilai hasil %Te dan %Tp ekstraksi daun jati cina dengan pelarut etanol 96% dikatakan paling baik menahan kulit untuk mencegah kemerahan (eritema) dan menahan penggelapan kulit (pigmentasi) dengan kategori ekstra proteksi.

Abstract

Daun ungu mengandung senyawa alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin dan tanin yangmemiliki efek antibakteri terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus penyebab jerawat. Ekstrakdaun ungu dibuat dalam sediaan masker gel peel off dengan memvariasikan konsentrasi PVA.PVA berperan dalam formulasi masker gel peel off karena memiliki sifat adhesive.Konsentrasi PVA yang digunakan 5%, 10% dan 15%. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untukmengetahui pengaruh variasi konsentrasi PVA pada karakteristik fisik sediaan masker gelpeel off dan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi PVA pada sediaan masker gel peel off ekstrakdaun ungu yang dapat memberikan karakteristik fisik yang baik. Ekstraksi daun ungudiperoleh dengan metode remaserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 96%. Pengujiankarakteristik fisik yang dilakukan meliputi uji organoleptis, uji homogenitas, uji daya sebar,uji daya lekat, uji pH, waktu mengering, uji viskositas dan pengujian cemaran mikrobadengan ALT. Berdasarkan hasil statistika One Way Anova pada karakteristik fisik sediaanmasker gel peel off meliputi pH, daya sebar, viskositas, daya lekat dan kecepatan waktumengering terdapat perbedaan signifikan yaitu 0,000 (sig<0,05). Konsentrasi PVA padasediaan masker gel peel off ekstrak daun ungu yang dapat memberikan karakteristik fisikyang baik adalah konsentrasi PVA 10%.

Abstract

Anthocyanins are flavonoid compounds that can be found in red, orange, purple, and blue coloured plants. The colour stability of these compounds is generally affected by temperature, pH and solvents. Anthocyanins tend to be stable at acidic pH and unstable at alkaline pH. Telang flower is a plant that has anthocyanin content. This anthocyanin content provides many benefits both in the health and food fields. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of variations in solvent pH on the extraction of telang flowers on yield, extract pH, colour stability and to test antibacterial activity in extractions using alkaline solvents. This research method is to extract anthocyanins in telang flowers, using variations in solvent pH, then calculate the yield, pH of the extract, colour stability formed. This study also tested the potential antibacterial activity of extracts extracted using solvents in an alkaline atmosphere. The results showed that increasing the pH of the solvent increased the percent yield, the pH of the extract was obtained in the pH range of 4-8, with the anthocyanin content decreasing. The extract obtained has a different colour spectrum at each pH condition and the extract conditioned at alkaline pH has inhibitory activity against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria.

Abstract

Dry skin due to sun exposure can be prevented by using moisturizer. Moisturizer can be found in body lotion preparations in the form of emollients such as liquid paraffin and humectants such as propylene glycol. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect and optimum concentration of liquid paraffin and propylene glycol on the physical characteristics and moisturizing power of body lotion and to determine the antioxidant activity and physical stability of the optimum formula of alpha-arbutin body lotion. The comparison of liquid paraffin and propylene glycol concentrations was determined based on the design expert 10.0.1 simplex lattice design method. The formula for the comparison of liquid paraffin and propylene glycol is FI (8.5:10.5); FII (10:9); III (10:9); FIV (5.5:13.5); FV (7:12); FVI (4:15); FVII (4:15); FVIII (7:12). The test parameters used in determining the optimum formula are pH, viscosity, adhesion, spreadability and moisture. The results of the test using the T-test. Based on the results of the study, the optimum formula was obtained at a concentration of 10% liquid paraffin and 9% propylene glycol. The conclusion of this study is that liquid paraffin or propylene glycol increases pH, viscosity, spreadability, adhesion and moisture content while the combination of the two materials increases spreadability, adhesion, moisture content and decreases pH and viscosity. The results were validated by the T-test showing that all parameter results were not significantly different. The optimum antioxidant formula test produced an IC50 value of 159.09 ppm which is included in very weak antioxidants and after going through a cycling test, an increase in pH value, adhesion, spreadability and decreased viscosity were obtained but were still stable in color, odor and homogeneity.

Abstract

Kestabilan suatu bahan aktif merupakan faktor yang harus dipertimbangkan dalam membuat formulasi suatu sediaan farmasi yang berkualitas. Kerusakan produk obat yang disebabkan ketidakstabilan dapat menurunkan sampai dengan hilangnya khasiat obat, obat dapat berubah menjadi toksik atau dapat terjadi perubahan fisik dari sediaan (warna, bau, rasa, konsistensi).Hal tersebut sangat penting, sebab suatu obat atau sediaan farmasi biasanya akan diproduksi dalam jumlah yang besar dan memerlukan waktu yang lama selama penyimpanan dan penggunaannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat kestabilan fisik dari sediaan nanogel minyak zaitun selama penyimpanan selam 28 hari. Hasil dari pengamatan stabilitas dianalisis dengan statistik paired t test menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaaan bermakna pada pengujian viskositas pada semua formua dan tidak terdapat perbedaan pada pengujian pH, daya sebar, dan daya lekat pada semua formula setelah penyimpanan.. Abstract

Soap is a health supply that is much needed to maintain cleanliness. Telang flowers have the potential to inhibit Staphylococcus aureus bacteria, so that their potential can be utilised in making soap made from nature. One form of soap that is currently trending is paper soap. Formulating bayang flower extract in paper soap making, it is necessary to pay attention to pH and temperature factors, because the colour stability of bayang flower anthocyanins is easily affected by temperature and pH. In paper soap making, temperature and stirring factors will also have an influence on the character of the resulting paper soap. In this study, a study was conducted to make bayang flower paper soap by looking at the effect of temperature during manufacture and stirring on the characteristics of soap including pH, moisture content, and colour of paper soap. The method of making paper soap is conditioned on variations in manufacturing temperature, namely 77 ° C, 85 ° C and 92 ° C and variations in stirring speed at 280, 350 and 420 rpm. The telang flower extract was made using the maceration method in a ratio of 1:6, using a combination of 70% ethanol and 0.42% NaOH solvents (6:4), the extract was used with a concentration of 10%. The results show that paper soap made with increasing temperature and stirring has a decreasing pH value and moisture content and has a darker green colour variation.
