Abstract

This study delves into the positive impact of Green Human Resource Management practices on job satisfaction and employee well-being within Indonesian companies, with a specific focus on the real estate development sector. As part of a burgeoning global movement towards environmental consciousness, Indonesian businesses are increasingly embracing eco-friendly practices to bolster their competitive edge, cultivate an environmentally responsible image, and attract employees who prioritise sustainability. The research meticulously examines the efficacy of distinct GHRM practices, such as environmental training and decision-making involvement, in nurturing employee well-being and job satisfaction. The methodology employs a quantitative approach, utilising online surveys distributed to top Indonesian property development company employees. The analysis unequivocally confirms that GHRM practices significantly enhance employee well-being and job satisfaction, with employee well-being serving as a mediator that amplifies the positive effect of GHRM on job satisfaction. The findings underscore the pivotal role of comprehensive GHRM strategies in fostering a supportive and sustainable work environment, thereby contributing to overall organisational success. This study enriches the literature on sustainable human resource management, underscoring the imperative for companies to implement GHRM practices to bolster employee well-being and job satisfaction, and convincing the audience of the commitment needed for this transformative process.

Abstract

This study examines senior high school and vocational high school graduates' job search outcomes in Banten and West Java, Indonesia, high-unemployment regions. It examines how financial hardships, self-efficacy, and social support affect job search behaviors and outcomes. Survey research uses questionnaires to collect data. A cross-sectional time horizon is used to capture job search behavior in a non-contrived setting. Data from 512 female participants was analyzed to determine how variables affected job search outcomes. Data suggests that vocational high school graduates have stronger relationships between self-efficacy, job search behaviors, and outcomes than general high school graduates. It's important to tailor job search support and interventions to different educational backgrounds. This study sheds light on how financial hardship, self-efficacy, and social support affect job search behaviour and outcomes for Indonesian general and vocational high school graduates. For vocational graduates, self-efficacy indirectly affects job search outcomes through job search behaviors more than for general graduates. Vocational graduates are more affected by job search behaviors than general high school graduates. These findings demonstrate the differences in job search dynamics between educational backgrounds and suggest ways to tailor career support interventions to Indonesia's demographic bonus and Golden Indonesia 2045 vision.

Abstract

Recent COVID-19 Pandemic has forced many institutions to adopt work from home (WFH) practice whether they’re ready or not. Conditions affecting knowledge worker productivity while adopting new WFH practices become increasingly relevant as companies adapt to the new normal era. This study investigates the direct impact of WFH on productivity and the mediating impact of WFH on productivity through work life balance (WLB) and job satisfaction in the banking industry located in the Greater Jakarta Area. As such, questionnaires were conducted with 234 respondents who have experience of the WFH program due to COVID-19 pandemic and working in the banking industry located in the Greater Jakarta Area. Findings revealed how job satisfaction is a mediating variable between WFH and Productivity, and WFH positively impacts overall productivity. However, contrary to our predictions, results also showed that WFH has a negative impact on WLB. Further research can extend the proposed model of this study by considering adding several variables which might affect productivity in WFH arrangements or implement the already proposed model to other industries.

Abstract

Construction is one of the sectors that the government relies on to contribute to national growth; the impact of this policy is that the number on the projects is not balanced with construction experts, thereby increasing the workload of construction employees, coupled with the pandemic, limiting construction project activities which are labour-intensive activities that require a lot of interaction and physical activity in the field. This study aims to determine the impact of a workload and responsibility load on work stress and job performance in construction projects during the pandemic. This research uses a correlational descriptive quantitative approach: the population in this study is 100 construction employees in Indonesia. The sampling technique is total sampling with multiple linear regression. The result showed that workload significantly affects the responsibility load on construction project workers in Indonesia. The workload has a positive and significant impact on Indonesian construction project workers. Responsibility load has a positive and significant effect on Workstress on Project Construction workers in Indonesia. The influence of responsibility load on work stress is negative and significant. Work stress on employees does not affect job performance on employees. Namely, there is no effect if construction employees have high work stress on their work. It does not affect job performance. The work stress variable has no positive or significant effect on job performance. Further research can incorporate variables that influence job performance, such as workload, responsibility load, work stress, and others, to improve job performance at construction.
