Abstract

The quality of healthcare services is highly influenced by the effectiveness of queue management systems in hospitals. At RS Tk. II dr. Soepraoen Malang, the queue calling system is still conducted manually, which may lead to service delays, calling errors, and lack of clear information for patients. This study aims to design an automatic queue number calling system to improve service efficiency and quality. The method used is direct observation of the existing system and system design as a solution to the identified problems. The results show that the manual system has several weaknesses, including high dependence on staff and a high potential for human error. Therefore, an automatic queue calling system is designed with a structured workflow, starting from queue number retrieval to the calling process through an integrated system with audio output. This system enables faster, more accurate, and sequential queue calling. With this system, the service process becomes more organized and efficient. In conclusion, the design of an automatic queue number calling system can improve service efficiency, reduce calling errors, and provide convenience for staff as well as comfort for patients in receiving healthcare services.

Abstract

Medical record digitization is an important effort to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of health document management in hospitals, especially in the filing unit, which still faces various obstacles in the manual storage system. This study aims to analyze the optimization of interface-based medical record digitization in the archives room of the General Hospital of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with an implementation approach study carried out through the stages of system design, discussion or needs analysis, and implementation of system use. Data collection was carried out through observation, discussions with medical record officers, and documentation activities during the implementation process. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the medical record digitization interface system has a positive impact on increasing the understanding of officers in digital document management, as well as being able to improve work efficiency in the archiving room. In addition, this system helps speed up the document search process, reduces the risk of storage errors (missfiles), and improves file maintenance compared to manual systems. The implementation of digitization is also considered more effective in supporting more integrated and integrated medical record maintenance. The conclusion of this study shows that the optimization of interface-based medical record digitization contributes to increasing the effectiveness of document management and supports the improvement of the quality of health services in hospitals.
