Abstract

Intelligent systems are one application of artificial intelligence technology that can assist in automatic decision-making based on a knowledge base. In this study, a smart system based on the Forward Chaining method was designed and implemented to detect damage to petrol-powered car engines. This system employs the Forward Chaining method, which systematically matches the user-inputted symptoms with the rules in the knowledge base to determine the most likely cause of the damage. The knowledge base was developed through in-depth interviews with three expert technicians from official repair shops and validated by a head supervisor, resulting in 28 specific diagnostic rules. Diagnostic data, including symptoms and corresponding damage, was collected from service records of 50 cases involving Toyota Avanza and Honda cars manufactured between 2019 and 2022. This system is capable of detecting various symptoms, such as sudden engine failure, difficulty starting, excessive vibration, abnormal exhaust smoke colour, and unusual engine noise. The system development process used a waterfall approach that included needs analysis, knowledge base design, interface creation, and system testing. The test results showed that the system was able to detect 94% of damage types with high accuracy based on the combination of symptoms provided by the user. Thus, this system can be an effective tool in engine maintenance activities and improve production process efficiency in industrial environments.

Abstract

Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru (PPDB) merupakan kegiatan rutin tahunan yang dilaksanakan oleh masing-masing sekolah atau madrasah, dimana saat ini masih cukup banyak sekolah atau madrasah yang masih menggunakan sistem manual dalam proses pendaftaran siswa baru yang meliputi pengolahan data, penyimpanan data hingga pelaporan data. Dengan adanya sistem baru ini maka calon siswa baru dapat melakukan proses pendaftaran secara online, mengakses informasi penting yang disediakan dan juga mempermudah  panitia PPDB dalam mengelola data pendaftaran siswa baru. Metode pengembangan sistem yang digunakan menggunakan metode Extreme Programming (XP) dengan pendekatan OOP (Object Oriented Programming) yang terdiri dari fase perencanaan, desain, pengkodean dan pengujian. Perancangan sistem informasi PPDB ini bertujuan untuk memudahkan semua pihak khususnya panitia penerimaan siswa baru dan calon siswa baru sehingga dapat berjalan secara efektif dan efisien.

Abstract

Perkembangan ekonomi digital menuntut pelaku usaha, termasuk calon wirausahawan muda, untuk memiliki kompetensi teknologi informasi guna memperluas jangkauan pasar dan meningkatkan daya saing. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan digital marketing siswa PKBM Nurul Furqon sebagai upaya menumbuhkan jiwa kewirausahaan berbasis digital. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan pelatihan praktis yang meliputi pengenalan konsep dan strategi pemasaran digital, literasi media sosial untuk kegiatan bisnis, serta pemanfaatan platform e-commerce sebagai sarana pemasaran produk. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui observasi dan diskusi untuk mengukur peningkatan pemahaman peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan siswa dalam memanfaatkan teknologi digital untuk kegiatan ekonomi produktif. Selain itu, pelatihan ini mampu meningkatkan motivasi siswa dalam merancang dan mengembangkan ide usaha berbasis digital. Dengan demikian, kegiatan PM ini berkontribusi dalam mempersiapkan siswa PKBM Nurul Furqon agar lebih adaptif dan siap menghadapi tantangan ekonomi di era digital.

Abstract

Population administration services in Legoksari Village, Darangdan Subdistrict, Purwakarta Regency, currently face significant efficiency challenges due to the conventional, paper-based process of handling referral letters (surat pengantar). Residents are required to visit the village office in person, which is often time-consuming, hinders productivity, and is prone to human errors in data management. Furthermore, the lack of a centralized digital platform limits the speed of public service delivery. This research aims to design a User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) for a digital-based referral letter information system tailored to the specific needs and digital literacy levels of both residents and village officials. The method employed in this study is Design Thinking, which consists of five iterative stages: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. This approach was selected for its focus on human-centered design, ensuring that the resulting application is intuitive and accessible for various age groups within the Legoksari Village community. By emphasizing empathy, the design specifically addresses the pain points experienced by the local community during administrative tasks. The output of this research is a high-fidelity prototype of the referral letter information system. Based on comprehensive testing conducted through the System Usability Scale (SUS), this design is expected to significantly improve service time efficiency, minimize data redundancy, and provide seamless access for residents to apply for referral letters independently. Ultimately, the implementation of this design is intended to serve as a strategic foundation for more transparent, modern, and responsive public service digitalization at the village level in Purwakarta.
