Abstract

Mundu Mangrove Ecotourism is located in Mundu Pesisir Village, Mundu District, Cirebon Regency. Ecotourism is a form of tourism that is managed through a conservation approach. This study aims to analyze the sustainability status of mangrove ecotourism based on five dimensions of ecology, economy, socio-culture, infrastructure, and institutional law using the RAPFISH approach, identify critical attributes that affect sustainability, and formulate mangrove ecotourism development strategies in Mundu Pesisir Village. Data were collected through field surveys, interviews, and questionnaires to various stakeholders, then analyzed using the Multidimensional Scaling (MDS) method through RAPFISH (Rapid Appraisal Technique for Evaluating Fisheries Sustainability). The results of the sustainability analysis based on 5 dimensions, namely the ecological dimension of 48.33 (less sustainable), the economic dimension of 22.05 (unsustainable), the socio-cultural dimension of 53.13 (moderately sustainable), the infrastructure dimension of 32.14 (less sustainable), and the institutional legal dimension of 76.03 (sustainable). The results of the analysis show that there are still many things that need attention to improve the sustainability score, especially in dimensions that still get a small score.

Abstract

Nusa Penida has rich marine ecosystems, such as coral reefs and mangroves, which are residents' main source of income through fisheries, seaweed cultivation, and tourism. Land use change in Jungut Batu Village, Nusa Lembongan, has implications for the environment and economy in the coastal area of Nusa Penida. This study uses secondary data and Google Earth software to analyze changes in the area. From 2009 to 2020, significant changes occurred from seaweed cultivation to tourism land and back to seaweed cultivation during the pandemic. This analysis reflects the evolving economic dynamics and environmental impacts. The transformation from cultivated land to a marine ecotourism destination demonstrates an evolution in approaches to sustainable land use. However, the negative impacts of mass tourism highlight the need for a shift towards environmentally friendly and sustainable tourism. Collaboration between communities, tourism actors, government, and continued research is key in developing an effective and sustainable ecotourism model for Nusa Penida.

Abstract

Kata Kunci: Wisata Bahari, Smiling Coral Indonesia, E-Magazine, Promosi Digital, Konservasi LautABSTRACTThis study focuses on the design of an interactive E-Magazine as a digital promotional medium for Smiling Coral Indonesia (SCI), a conservation group based on Pramuka Island, Kepulauan Seribu. SCI has relied on social media and digital brochures; however, the content presented remains general, limited, and has not fully represented its identity or conservation values. Therefore, this research employs the Research and Development (RD) method with the ADDIE development model, limited to the needs analysis and design stages. Data were collected through observation, interviews with SCI managers, and visual documentation of activities. The needs analysis was reviewed using the STP (Segmentation, Targeting, Positioning) concept, which indicated that SCI’s primary target is individual tourists interested in educational and conservation tourism, while the secondary target includes companies and educational institutions. Based on the analysis, SCIMagz was designed as an interactive E-Magazine presenting SCI’s profile, conservation programs, educational tourism, as well as testimonials and achievements. The design was developed using Canva Pro and displayed interactively through digital platforms, highlighting marine and sustainability themes. The design results demonstrate that SCIMagz can serve as a more engaging, informative, and integrated promotional medium compared to previous strategies. This research provides a foundation for further development through feasibility testing and real implementation to ensure that SCIMagz functions optimally as a promotional medium for conservation-based marine tourism. Keywords: Marine Tourism, Smiling Coral Indonesia, Interactive E-Magazine, Digital Promotion, Marine Conservation

Abstract

Tegal City has significant potential in the fisheries and marine sector, which can be utilized as a source of livelihood for the community and to drive regional economic growth. To optimize this potential, the Tegal City Department of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Agriculture, and Food, through the Fisheries Division, implemented a program to strengthen the Processing and Marketing Group (POKLAHSAR) institution. This assistance aimed to describe the process of establishing POKLAHSAR, provide training on fishery product processing, assist in obtaining business permits, and provide supporting facilities to increase the group's capacity and independence. The method used consisted of four stages: POKLAHSAR formation, training, licensing assistance, and providing supporting facilities. The results of the activity indicate that POKLAHSAR formation was carried out in a structured manner through group legalization, as well as obtaining legal entities and business permits. The fishery product processing training successfully improved members' skills in producing value-added processed products, while licensing assistance facilitated the group's acquisition of business legality and product distribution permits. The provision of supporting facilities can improve product efficiency and quality. The POKLAHSAR strengthening program in Tegal City can enhance group capacity and positively impact community economic development, particularly in the fisheries sector.
