Abstract

Horizontal Distribution of Temperature, Salinity and Turbidity in Dumoga Coastal Waters, North Sulawesi. Observation of water quality parameter namely temperature, salinity and turbidity were carried out in Dumoga Coastal waters on July 2006. The objective of this research is to know the horizontal distribution of temperature, salinity and turbidity which can be used to obtain the information regarding the feasibility of Dumoga Coastal waters for aquaculture. The methods were used are field observation using sensor system of CTD SBE 19. The result of the research shows that the water quality parameters in Dumoga Coastal waters there are no thermocline layer with water temperature between 24,22 °C – 28,53 °C. The presence of freshwater inputs from Dumoga River to the seaside with salinity varies from 4,66 psu – 33,89 psu. The turbidity are relatively high with values between 8,33 NTU – 272,59 NTU. Viewed from temperature, salinity and turbidity, the Dumoga Coastal waters still within the tolerance limits for tropical aquaculture.  Keywords: temperature, salinity, turbidity, Dumoga Coastal waters

Abstract

Pengamatan mengenai perubahan garis pantai di pesisir Kabupaten Subang, Jawa Barat telah dilakukan dengan menggunakan program Digital Shoreline Analysis System berdasarkan citra satelit Landsat TM dari tahun 1996–2010. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui besar perubahan garis pantai di Kabupaten Subang serta zonasi kawasan yang mengalami perubahan garis pantai tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah pemprosesan citra dan survey lapangan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dari tahun 1996–2010 perairan pesisir Kabupaten Subang mengalami perubahan garis pantai oleh adanya akresi dan abrasi yang maksimalnya sejauh lebih dari 1 km. Hasil analisis regresi antara perubahan waktu dengan akresi serta abrasi memberikan nilai positif. Secara keseluruhan, lebih dari 50% panjang pesisir Kabupaten Subang dikategorikan dalam kerusakan yang parah. Perubahan garis pantai di Pesisir Kabupaten Subang terjadi terutama karena kegiatan pembangunan di sekitar pesisir seperti pembukaan lahan mangrove menjadi tambak dan sawah, pembangunan pemukiman, serta transpor sedimen dari sungai-sungai di kawasan pesisir Kabupaten Subang. Kata kunci: perubahan garis pantai, Kabupaten Subang, citra satelit, akresi, abrasi.   Observation of coastal shoreline changes in the Subang District was conducted using Digital Shoreline Analysis System Program based on the satellite images of Landsat TM from 1996 to 2010. The purpose of this study was to determine the distance of shoreline change and the zoning area in the Coastal of Subang District. Methods used in this study were images processing and field survey. The results of the study indicated the presence of shoreline changes which experienced maximum accretion and abrasion of more than 1 km between 1996 to 2010. The results of regression analysis between time and accretion as well as time and abrasion showed positive correlation. More than 50% the coastal area of Kabupaten Subang was in severely damaged con­dition. Coastal shoreline change in Kabupaten Subang occurred mainly due to the developmental activities such as residential construction, coastal mangrove conversion to ponds and rice paddies and sediment transport from the river around Kabupaten Subang. Abstract

Data batimetri secara konvensional umumnya diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik echo- sounding yakni dengan instrumen echosounder. Sejumlah masalah atau hambatan dari metode tersebut diantaranya biaya operasional yang mahal, perolehan data tidak multi temporal, kecuali dengan pengukuran ulang. Perkembangan teknologi memungkinkan metode pengukuran batimetri menjadi semakin beragam, salah satu metode alternatifnya adalah menggunakan metode penginderaan jauh dengan memanfaatkan citra satelit atau biasa disebut sattelite derived bathymetry (SDB). Lokasi penelitian ini berada di Pulau Putri, Batam yang dilakukan untuk mengkaji perbandingan data batimetri yang dihasilkan dari citra Sentinel-2 dengan beberapa citra yang diambil pada tanggal berbeda, dengan data pengukuran in situ. Nilai kedalaman dikaji menggunakan metode band ratio dengan memanfaatkan band biru dan hijau. Hasil kedalaman dari Sentinel-2 kemudian dibandingkan berdasarkan nilai Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), koefisien determinasi (R2), dan Total Vertical Uncertainty (TVU). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan citra bulan Januari merupakan citra terbaik dengan nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,372. Hasil RMSE menunjukkan semakin tinggi tingkat kesalahan seiring bertambahnya kedalaman. Nilai RMSE pada kedalaman 0 - 30 meter berkisar antara 0,1 - 0,3 meter. Sedangkan pada kedalaman lebih dari 30 meter nilai RMSE bertambah dari 1 - 3 meter. Kualitas SDB dapat diidentifikasi berdasarkan nilai TVU. Berdasarkan analisis pada 8479 titik data insitu masing-masing hanya 645, 318, dan 179 titik data yang terklasifikasi dalam Ordo 2, Ordo 1, dan Ordo spesial.

Abstract

Pulau Putri merupakan pulau kecil terdepan bagian dari Nongsa, Batam yang sempat terancam hilang akibat perubahan garis pantai besar-besaran. Arus dan pasang surut ini merupakan parameter oseanografi yang penting diketahui dalam menganalisis karakteristik perairan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memodelkan arus pasang surut di perairan Pulau Putri Pada penelitian ini digunakan pendekatan numeris 2D dengan menggunakan model Delft3D- FLOW. Simulasi dimulai pada Maret-Mei 2020 Validasi model dengan data elevasi muka air laut menghasilkan nilai yang baik, yaitu dengan RMSE 0,135 dan bias 0,018. Adapun validasi komponen pasang surut menujukkan selisih yangkecil yaitu 0 - 8 cm untuk amplitudo dan 0o - 9o untuk fase. Berdasarkan simulasi, pasang surut di Pulau Putri termasuk tipe condong semidiurnal dan termasuk perairan microtidal dan sedikit mesotidal dengan tunggang pasut kurang dari 2 - 2,5 m. Hasil model arus pasut menghasilkan nilai rata-rata residu 0,1 m/s dan rata-rata arus pasang surut yang dapat mencapai 0,5 m/s. Pola pergerakan arus pasut yang dihasilkan adalah bidirectional, yaitu dari barat menuju timur dan tenggara.

Abstract

Mangrove ecosystems are generally found in all coastal areas of Indonesia, which are affected by tides and inundate these ecosystems along the coast. The function of the mangrove ecosystem as ecotourism is an alternative that can be developed in coastal areas. The purpose of this study was to identify the diversity of flora and fauna, determine the allocation of mangrove ecosystem land for ecotourism and determine the carrying capacity of the mangrove ecosystem area to be used for ecotourism. This research was carried out from January to February 2021 in the Tanjung Lesung area, Banten, with three research stations based on the initial survey and the data provided by the manager. The data taken in this study are mangrove ecosystems, associated biota, mangrove thickness, and respondents from visitors who aim to find out how long it takes their visit. The results obtained are there are nine types of mangroves from six families. The mangrove density of the research location is 796 ind.ha-1. The biota found at the research site found seven biota. The results of the calculation of ecotourism suitability at Station I have a value of 58.3% with the S2 category, and Station II has a value of 72.2% with the S2 category. Station III has a value of 33.3% with the S3 category. The calculation results of the area's carrying capacity for tracking activities are 180 people per day with a usable area of about 2200 m2. Abstract

This research aims to analyze community empowerment strategies in marine tourism management in Pari Island using a qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The results showed that community empowerment has increased local participation in tourism, particularly in economic activities such as homestay management and tourist equipment rental. However, challenges in environmental sustainability and gaps in access to economic resources remain an issue. In conclusion, inclusive empowerment strategies and continued support from various parties are needed to ensure tourism develops sustainably.
