Abstract

The performance of mutton is influenced by quality feed, easy to obtain, and does not compete with humans. Water hyacinth has a fairly high content of protein, fiber, fat, and energy. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the use of water hyacinth-based forage rations on the performance of sorghum. The study was conducted experimentally using a completely randomized design (CRD). A total of 80 male mutton were placed in 20 cage plots, so that each cage plot consisted of 4 birds. The types of treatment used were P0 (100% rice bran) as control, P1 (75% rice bran + 25% water hyacinth), P2 (50% rice bran + 50% water hyacinth), P3 (25% rice bran + 75% water hyacinth). The variables observed were ration consumption, body weight gain, ration conversion, feed cost per gain, and mortality. The research data were analyzed using analysis of variance and if they showed significant differences, they were further tested using Duncan's multiple distance test. The results showed that the ration consumption, body weight gain, ration conversion, and feed cost per gain with the addition of water hyacinth in the ration statistically showed a significant difference while the mortality calculated descriptively did not show any difference. Mortality occurred in treatment P3 (25% rice bran + 75% water hyacinth). It can be concluded that in order to improve the performance of male gibbons, the provision of forage water hyacinth in the ration should not be more than 50%.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Edible offal adalah sisa karkas yang masih layak dikonsumsi, seperti jantung, hati, ampela dan usus. Sebagian masyarakat mengkonsumsi bagian edible offal ini salah satu solusi cara untuk menikmati bagian dari tubuh entog yang relatif murah dibandingkan dengan dagingnya, sehingga edible offal banyak diminati dan dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui berapa berat edible offal yang baik dan layak konsumsi dan tingkatan pemberian pakan eceng gondok yang terbaik untuk entog jantan. Penelitian dilakukan secara eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Sebanyak 80 ekor entog jantan ditempatkan pada 20 petak kandang, sehingga setiap petak kandangnya terdiri atas 4 ekor. Jenis perlakuan yang digunakan yaitu P0 (100% dedak padi) sebagai kontrol, P1 (75% dedak padi + 25% eceng gondok), P2 (50% dedak padi + 50% eceng gondok), P3 (25% dedak padi + 75% eceng gondok). Variabel yang diamati yaitu berat jantung, hati, ampela, usus untuk panjang organ pencernaan yaitu tembolok, proventrikulus, duodenum, jejulum, ilium, usus besar dan kloaka. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan analisis sidik ragam (analysis of variance) dan jika menunjukan perbedaan nyata maka dilanjutkan menggunakan uji berjarak ganda Duncan. Hasil penelitian penambahan eceng gondok data yang dihasilkan menunjukkan perbedaan nyata pada panjang Organ Pencernaan, sedangkan pada berat Edible offal tidak menunjukan perbedaan. Panjang Organ Pencernaan yaitu menunjukan perbedaan nyata pada perlakuan yaitu P3 (25% dedak padi 75% eceng gondok). Penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan penggunaan eceng gondok 75% baik untuk panjang Organ Pencernaan.

Abstract

Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan imbangan ransum berbasis hijauan eceng gondok terhadap berat karkas dan non karkas entog. Penelitian dilakukan secara eksperimen menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Sebanyak empat perlakuan dan lima kali ulangan. Perlakuan yang digunakan P0 (100% dedak padi) sebagai kontrol, P1 (75% dedak padi + 25% eceng gondok), P2 (50% dedak padi + 50% eceng gondok), P3 (25% dedak padi + 75% eceng gondok). Variabel yang diamati antara lain bobot hidup, berat sembelih, berat darah, berat bulu, berat jeroan, berat kepala, berat ceker, berat leher, berat brutu, berat karkas, berat sayap, berat dada, berat paha. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan analisis sidik ragam ( analisis of variance ) dan jika menunjukan perbedaan nyata maka diuji lanjut menggunakan uji jarak berganda Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perlakuan 50% dedak padi + 50% eceng gondok menghasilkan berat karkas dan non karkas yang baik pada entog jantan.

Abstract

Karakteristik entog sangat penting dalam usaha pengembangan entog, meliputi sifat kuantitatif. Tujuan penelitian ini Menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan ransum mengandung hijauan eceng gondok terhadap sifat kuantitatif entog. Penelitian ini dilakuakan secara eksperimen dengan menggunakan disain Rancangan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Sebanyak 80 ekor entog jantan ditempatkan pada 20 petak kandang., sehingga setiap petak kandangnya terdiri dari 4 ekor. Jenis perlakuan yang digunakan yaitu P0 (100% dedak padi) P1 (dedak padi 75% + 25% eceng gondok) P2 (dedak padi 50% + 50% eceng gondok) P3 (dedak padi 25% + 75% eceng gondok). Peubah yang diamati pada lebar paruh, panjang paruh, tinggi kepala, panjang kepala, panjang leher, panjang punggung, panjang sayap, panjang femur, panjang tibia, lebar dada, panjang badan, panjang jari ketiga. Data hasil penelitian sifat kualitatif dianalisis secara deskriptif sementara sifat kuantitatif dianalisis menggunakan Analisis Sidik Ragam atau Anova (Analisys Of Variance) dan diuji lanjut menggunakan Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan (Duncan Multiple Range Test). Hasil penelitian yang paling ideal pada panjang sayap 11,86, panjang tibia 10,96, panjang badan 7,70, lebar dada 7,36, panjang punggung. Kesimpulan menunjukan bahwa penggunaan ransum P2 50% dedak padi + 50% eceng gondok dapat memperoleh sifat kuantitaif entog yang baik.

Abstract

This research was conducted at the Banteng Tani Livestock Group, Losarang District, Indramayu Regency from February 20 to March 30, 2022. This study aims to analyze the potential of beef cattle farm waste in providing organic fertilizer needs for the community in Losarang District, Indramayu Regency. This study uses a descriptive method that is analyzing the cost efficiency of organic fertilizer production using R/C ratio analysis. The results of the feasibility analysis of farming using the balance of revenues and costs (R/C ratio) with a value of 1.84. This means that each expenditure of Rp. 1 will generate revenue of Rp. 1.84. The coefficient value of the R/C ratio shows a number more than 1, so it can be concluded that the use of costs in the organic fertilizer production process in the Banteng Tani group is efficient.

Abstract

This research was conducted in March - August 2021, located in Darma District, Kuningan Regency, West Java Province, Indonesia, which is located at the coordinates 7°02°09.4 "South Latitude 108°24'24'20.6' East Longitude. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of indigofera flour on the performance muscovy duck. The research was conducted experimentally using the Completely Randomized Design (CRD) 80 muscovy duck were drawn to be placed in a cage which was divided into 20 sections consisting of 4 muscovy duck. The types of treatment used were P0 (basal ration) as control, P1 25% indigofera flour, P2 50% indigofera flour, P3 75% indigofera flour and P4 100% indigofera flour as a substitute for soybean meal and rice bran. The variables observed were ration consumption, weight gain, ration conversion and feed cost per gain. The research data were analyzed using variance (Anova) and if there was a significant difference, then further tested using Duncan's multiple distance test (DMRT). The results showed that the use of indigofera flor cold increase (P<0,05) feed consumption, this is due to the nutrient content in the ratio and the variables of weight gain, ration conversion and feed cost per gain did not show a significant difference (P>0,05). It can be concluted that the effect of the addition of indigofera as a subtitute for soybean meal and bran can increase ration consumption but is not followed by optimal grain performance.

Abstract

This study consisted of five types of treatment, namely PO without the addition of indigofera leaf meal (TDI) as control feed, P1 25% added TDI, P2 50% added TDI, P3 75% added TDI, and P4 100% added TDI. The variables observed in the study were the carcass quality of muscovy duck, including measurements of body composition, carcass composition, and non-carcass composition measurements. The research data were analyzed using the Variety Print or Anova (Analysis of Variance) and further tested using the Duncan Multiple Range Test. The results showed that feeding indigofera flour in the ration had a significant effect (P<0.05) on feather weight, dressing weight, carcass weight, chest weight, and non-carcass weight. However, overall the addition of TDI in the ration reduced the carcass quality of the muscovy duck. Therefore, it can be concluded that the addition of TDI as a substitute for soybean meal and bran in the eggplant ration is less effective and can reduce the quality of the eggplant carcass.

Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the effect and level of indigofera leaf flour as a substitute for soybean meal and rice bran in the ration on qualitative and quantitative properties. This research was conducted on March 30, 2021 to April 27, 2021. The study was conducted experimentally using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). This study consisted of five types of treatment in the form of ration formulations, namely P0 = without the addition of indigofera leaf meal (TDI) as control feed, P1 = 25% addition of TDI, P2 = 50% addition of TDI, P3 = 75% addition of TDI and P4 = 100% the addition of TDI was given to 80 muscovy duck placed in cages that had been divided into 20 parts, each part was filled with 4 muscovy ducks. The variables observed in this study were qualitative traits including coat color, beak color, shank color, caruncle color and skin color and quantitative traits included body weight, body circumference, beak length, chest length, femur length, tibia length, tibia circumference, length shank and wing length. The data from the qualitative research were analyzed descriptively, while the quantitative traits were analyzed using the Analysis of Variance or Anova (Analysis of Variane) and further tested using the Duncan Multiple Range Test. The results showed that the provision of indigofera leaf flour in the ration at P4 showed a shiny and thicker coat color and had a significant effect on tibia circumference (P<0.05)

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of feeding additive noni fruit flour (Morinda citrifolia L.) and measure what level of noni fruit flour (Morinda citrifolia L.) is the best for male quail (Coturnix coturnix japonica) performance in the growth phase. The research will be carried out using experimental methods which are arranged based on a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments consisted of P0 = 100% commercial feed + 0% noni fruit flour, P1 = 100% commercial feed + 1.5% noni fruit flour, P2 = 100% commercial feed + 3% noni fruit flour, P3 100% commercial feed + 4, 5% noni fruit flour and P4 = 100% commercial feed + 6% noni fruit flour. The results showed that giving noni fruit flour as a feed additive to the performance of male quail growth phase was not significantly different (P> 0.05) on body weight gain and was significantly different (P <0.05) on ration consumption, ration conversion, ration efficiency. and feed cost per Gain. The results of the average ration consumption between 180 - 190.8, ration conversion between 1.72 - 1.92, ration efficiency between 260.2200 - 290.9725 and feed cost per gain between Rp 12.395 - Rp 13.839. The best treatment is P4 because it is the best treatment in ration consumption and ration conversion.

Abstract

Muscovy duck performance is influenced by quality feed, easy to obtain and does not compete with humans. The purpose of this study was to analyze the performance of male mussels fed a balanced feed of vegetable waste and rice bran silage on the performance of male mussels and to obtain a formulation of a balanced diet of vegetable waste and rice bran silage that produced the best mussels performance. The study was conducted experimentally using a completely randomized design (CRD) of 4 treatments with 5 replications. The treatment used was 4 feed balances, namely rice bran with vegetable waste silage, respectively P0 = 100: 0; P1 = 75 : 25; P2 = 50 : 50, and P3 = 25 : 75. The variables observed were ration consumption, body weight gain, ration conversion, and feed efficiency. The research data were analyzed using analysis of variance and if there was a significant difference it was further tested using Duncan's multiple range test. The results showed that ration consumption, ration conversion, and feed efficiency had significant differences. Meanwhile, body weight gain did not have a significant effect. It can be concluded that feeding vegetable waste silage has a significant effect on increasing ration consumption, but reducing ration conversion and feed efficiency. The treatment that produced the best male musk performance was shown at P0.
