Abstract

UI GreenMetric was established before the initiative of the Sustainable Development Goals and other ranking to encourage universities in achieving sustainable development through their early awareness of environmental management on campus. In 2019, Times Higher Education launched a new ranking, namely the THE Impact Rankings, that assessed Sustainability progress implementation on campus. In this paper, we evaluate the impact of the consistency of university that have been participated in UI GreenMetric World University Rankings (UIGWUR) since 2010 to 2021. We evaluate 36 universities on the correlation between good performance in UIGWUR to the THE Impact ranking performed by 2019-2021. The results reveal that UI GreenMetric as an assessment tool, helped those universities in terms of shaping university readiness to achieve sustainable development. Those universities compete through annual reporting and the provided evidence of their progress on UI GreenMetric. Moreover, some universities have a high commitment to become sustainable campus through participating in sustainability-related rankings to monitor their progress regardless of the ranking results.

Abstract

Conventional ways of delivering sustainability content often fail to capture the breadth and dynamism of university challenges. To overcome the issue, UI GreenMetric has proposed a new way of delivering content by using digital media. This study investigates the integration of digital mediaincluding Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and Website to augment sustainability insights within the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings Network. This study analyzes the results, effects, and further implications of UI GreenMetric’s practices in incorporating user-generated content from those digital media platforms into the sustainability assessment framework to leverage the ubiquity and the richness of the content. The analysis is conducted for various activities, such as podcast/live discussions, event streaming, posts and videos related to sustainability initiatives. The findings show that integrating digital media has significantly boosted sustainability outreach within the UI GreenMetric network. UI GreenMetric not only drives the transformation of individuals, communities, and universities toward sustainability but also extends its impact through dozens of online events, such as webinars, workshops, courses, live discussions, and podcasts throughout the year. These efforts have successfully reached a wider audience, leading to meaningful behavioral changes as participants engage in campaigns and actively contribute to rankings and events.

Abstract

AbstractThis study evaluates the accuracy of ChatGPT’s free version in answering academic questions based on Bloom’s Taxonomy cognitive levels (C1–C6) and disciplines (physics, social sciences, and religious studies) at two universities in Jakarta. A mixed-method approach was used, combining statistical and content analyses. Thirty-five lecturers from UIN Jakarta and the University of Indonesia submitted exam questions in Bahasa Indonesia to ChatGPT, and the responses were scored on a 0–100 accuracy scale. Results show that ChatGPT performs well on multiple-choice questions (C1–C3) in physics but struggles with higher-order tasks (C5–C6) requiring synthesis, evaluation, and creativity. In social sciences, accuracy was consistent, particularly in theoretical questions, though ChatGPT faced challenges with data-driven analysis and practical application. Religious studies exhibited high accuracy across all cognitive levels due to the structured and doctrinal nature of the material.Statistical analysis revealed significant differences in accuracy between lower and higher cognitive levels in physics (p = 0.005) and religious studies (p = 0.011), but no significant difference in social sciences (p = 0.137). ANOVA (p = 0.464) showed no significant differences across disciplines. This study highlights ChatGPT’s effectiveness in answering lower to intermediate-level questions (C1–C4) but identifies limitations with higher-level tasks (C5–C6). These findings encourage educators to design questions that assess deeper cognitive skills while utilizing AI’s strengths in supporting learning and knowledge acquisition. How to Cite: Nurhasanah, A., Suralaga, F., Rosyidah, I., Nihayah, Z., Sari, R. Abstract

UI GreenMetric World University Rankings is a non-profit initiative from Universitas Indonesia that ranks universities around the world based on their commitment and actions towards sustainability. During the ranking process, many universities’ performance in UI GreenMetric has progressed. To increase the performance of each university in UI GreenMetric, universities need to share their sustainability achievement and current condition in a forum. These universities can share information about the implementation of sustainability policies in each university through the International Workshop on UI GreenMetric World University Rankings. Due to the ongoing pandemic and our concerns that the event could ease the spread of coronavirus, this event was being held online. We evaluate the workshop to capture the experience gained in organizing the virtual event. From the topics modeling based on several regions, we conclude that university leaders around the world are very concerned about diverse sustainability issues, alongside the Covid-19 pandemic that has been going on for more than a year. We also conclude that people are getting more accustomed to virtual events, as evidenced by the increase in IWGM 2021 active participants of around 44% compared to 2020 virtual workshops. Keyword: green workshop, sustainability, digital transformation, online workshop, synchronous model, asynchronous model.

Abstract

The development of protocols in the ICT world to increase reliability and speed in data traffic gave an inspiration to a new protocol called the QUIC protocol. The QUIC protocol is expected to improve the performance of Transport Control Protocol (TCP). In addition, developments also occur in blockchain technology where the protocol used in this technology still uses the existing TCP protocol. In this paper, we aimed to research whether the QUIC protocol implementation in blockchain infrastructure could improve the performance of the blockchain infrastructure itself, in terms of the time required for transactions. We focus on conducting research to measure the overhead time reduction of Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance (PBFT) consensus by implementing the QUIC protocol, the consensus propagation process is a crucial phase in Blockchain. For simulation we used NS-3 discrete simulation environment to conduct scenario and our simulation result showed that the QUIC Protocol have potential significant performance compared to TCP Protocol in large datasets, on the other hand QUIC protocols have more room for improvement by implementing appropriate congestion algorithms.
