Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya mathematical proficiency dalam pembelajaran graf euler. Oleh karena itu mathematical proficiency harus dikembangkan. Kenyataan dilapangan menunjukkan bahwa mathematical proficiency dalam matakuliah teori graf masih rendah. Sehingga diperlukan sebuah pendekatan pembelajaran yang dapat membantu mahasiswa dalam mengembangkan mathematical proficiency. Oleh karena itu, perlunya penerapan local instruction theory graf euler dengan pendekatan pembelajaran STEM. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan efektivitas penerapan local instruction theory graf euler dengan pendekatan pembelajaran STEM dalam mengembangkan mathematical proficiency mahasiswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pre eksperimental dengan desain one-shot case study. Populasi penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa jurusan Tadris Matematika yang mengontrak matakuliah teori graf yang berjumlah 21 orang. Pemilihan sampel dilakukan secara total sampling, yaitu semua populasi dijadikan sampel. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tes mathematical proficiency dengan instrumen berupa soal tes yang berbentuk uraian. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitiatif dengan menggunakan kriteria keefektivan secara klasikal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata mathematical proficiency mahasiswa sebesar 75,09 dengan persentase 75,09%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan local instruction theory graf euler dengan pendekatan pembelajaran STEM efektif mengembangkan mathematical proficiency mahasiswa

Abstract

Mathematical reasoning is a critical feature emphasized in the objective of mathematics education since it may be utilized to solve mathematical problems and other difficulties. This study aims to provide student worksheets based on Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) on circle material that are valid, practical, and useful in increasing students' mathematical reasoning abilities. This research used a 4-D development model. Validation sheets, practicality questionnaires, and test questions were employed as research tools. As a result of this research, the RME-based student worksheet on circle material is declared valid in content/material with an average of 4.05 and constructively valid with an average of 3.85. The practical findings show a value of 80.77% in the practical category. The effectiveness test revealed an N-Gain value of 0.57 with a fairly effective category. It may be concluded that the RME-based student worksheet developed is feasible, practical, and effective. As a result, the RME-based student worksheet can be used in learning to improve students' mathematical thinking abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to design a LIT of Eulerian graphs based on the STEM learning approach. By combining LIT with the STEM approach, teaching Eulerian graph material can be done in a more applicable and easily understood way by prospective mathematics teacher students. This study is a design research study with three stages, preliminary design, design experiment, and retrospective analysis. The trial was conducted on fourth-semester prospective mathematics teacher students of the Mathematics Education Department, Faculty of Education and Teacher Training, IAIN Kerinci. The instruments used were validation sheets and student response questionnaires. The analysis was carried out quantitatively and qualitatively. Based on data analysis, it was found that 1) The stages carried out to obtain a LIT of Eulerian graphs based on the STEM learning approach consisted of preliminary design (analyzing subjects, setting objectives, literature review, compiling HLT, and expert validation), design experiments (pilot experiments and teaching experiments), and retrospective analysis. 2) Local instruction theory of Eulerian graphs based on the STEM learning approach is practically applied in learning with a practicality percentage of 88% which is categorized as very practical. The application of LIT in learning Eulerian Graph with the STEM approach shows positive results in improving the mathematical understanding of prospective mathematics teacher students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how students' Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) ability is reflected in solving open-ended problems related to the topic of system of linear equations of two variables. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach aimed at uncovering the description of students' HOTS ability in answering open-ended problems related to the topic. Three students from three different groups, namely high, medium and low performers, were involved in this study. The results showed that students with high HOTS ability were able to solve open-ended problems at the cognitive level involving analysis, evaluation, and solution creation. Students with moderate HOTS ability were only able to solve problems at the analysis and evaluation levels, without reaching the solution creation level. Meanwhile, students with low HOTS ability were only able to solve problems at the analysis level, without reaching the evaluation and solution creation levels

Abstract

Pengembangan e-modul mata kuliah kalkulus berbasis blended learning untuk mahasiswa Jurusan Tadris Matematika IAIN Kerinci menjadi fokus penelitian ini. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena terdapatnya hambatan didaktis khususnya untuk bahan ajar sebesar 64% yang menjadikan mahasiswa kesulitan untuk belajar. Pengembangan e-modul berbasis blended learning bertujuan menghasilkan e-modul yang dapat dikategorikan valid dan praktis agar dapat digunakan oleh mahasiswa. ADDIE merupakan desain dari penelitian dan pengembangan yang dilakukan. 30 orang menjadi subjek penelitian yang berasal dari mahasiswa jurusan tadris matematika IAIN Kerinci yang sudah dan sedang mengontrak mata kuliah kalkulus. Data diperoleh melalui teknik pemberian angket validitas dan angket praktikalitas lalu data dianalisis dengan cara deskriptif kualitatif untuk mendeskripsikan saran para ahli serta analisis kuantitatif untuk mengolah data hasil angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-modul berbasis blended learning pada mata kuliah kalkulus valid dan praktis. The focus of this research is the development of a blended learning-based calculus course e-module for students of the Mathematics Tadris Department at IAIN Kerinci. This research was carried out because there were didactic barriers, especially for teaching materials of 64%, which made it difficult for students to learn. The development of e-modules based on blended learning aims to produce e-modules that can be categorized as valid and practical so that students can use them. ADDIE is the design of the research and development carried out. 30 people who became the research subjects came from students majoring in mathematics at IAIN Kerinci who had and were currently contracting calculus courses. The data were obtained by administering validity and practicality questionnaires. Then, the data were analyzed using a qualitative descriptive method to describe the advice of experts and quantitative analysis to process the results of the questionnaire data. The results of this study obtained e-modules based on blended learning in valid and practical calculus courses.

Abstract

The development of website-based worksheets represents an innovation to enhance the quality of education during the Covid-19 pandemic. The aim of this study is to outline the process of creating and assessing the feasibility of website-based worksheets on the topic of flat 3D shapes. The ADDIE model, consisting of five phases: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation, was used in this research. The instruments utilized included media and content validation questionnaires, teacher and student response questionnaires, and tests. The findings indicate that the website-based worksheets on flat 3D shapes fulfilled the criteria for validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The average validity index of the website-based worksheets was in the valid category, while the average of teacher and student responses to the worksheets was in the practical category. Furthermore, based on the average student learning outcomes, the website-based worksheets were found to be effective. As such, these worksheets can be adapted for use with other materials by adjusting the design and content to suit the needs and characteristics of students, leading to more effective and efficient learning.

Abstract

Pendidikan matematika merupakan aspek kunci dalam pembangunan masyarakat dan meningkatkan taraf hidup. Artikel ini membahas upaya pendampingan kesulitan belajar matematika pada materi operasi hitung aljabar di Desa Dusun Diilir, Kecamatan Hamparan Rawang, Kabupaten Kerinci. Pendampingan dilakukan dengan metode yang holistik, melibatkan pihak-pihak terkait dan berfokus pada pembelajaran aljabar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas pendampingan dalam mengatasi kesulitan belajar matematika, khususnya pada materi operasi hitung aljabar, di Desa Dusun Diilir. Pendampingan dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode holistik yang berfokus pada peningkatan pemahaman siswa. Metode pengumpulan data melibatkan observasi, dan tes evaluasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman siswa, mendukung keberhasilan pendekatan ini dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar. Pendampingan belajar matematika merupakan upaya untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi pelajaran. Artikel ini membahas pendampingan belajar matematika pada materi aljabar di Desa Dusun Diilir, Kecamatan Hamparan Rawang, Kabupaten Kerinci. Pendampingan dilakukan dengan metode diskusi, latihan soal, dan Evaluasi. Hasil pendampingan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman siswa terhadap materi operasi hitung aljabar.
