Ikan kering, seringkali dianggap sebagai makanan ‘kelas bawah’ oleh masyarakat, sehingga aspek mutu umumnya diabaikan. Efek pemahaman dan penerapan mutu pada proses pembuatan ikan kering dapat meningkatkan nilai ekonomi serta memberikan konsekuensi positif bagi keamanan pangan. Penelitian bertujuan membuktikan adanya korelasi bahwa penerapan aspek mutu dapat meningkatkan nilai ekonomi dan meningkatkan jangkauan pemasaran. Penelitian menggunakan metode survey terhadap responden terpilih yang terdiri dari produsen dan pengepul ikan kering di Kabupaten Sidoarjo selama bulan April s/d Juni 2019. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produsen yang menerapkan manajemen mutu dapat menjual ikan kering rata-rata Rp.6.005,-/Kg lebih tinggi dibandingkan produsen yang mengacuhkan penerapan manajemen mutu pada proses pembuatan ikan kering. Ikan kering yang bermutu baik menjangkau pasar di luar Kabupaten Sidoarjo bahkan hingga ke provinsi lain, serta keluar negeri.

The aim of this research is to determine the influence of the extensive development of digitalization facilities being implemented by the Government in the Patipi Bay district to accelerate economic development. This research is descriptive in nature and employs a semi-qualitative analysis approach. Data was obtained through direct observation and interviews with deliberately selected respondents. These interviews, conducted using questionnaires, aimed to explore data related to the research variables. The research variables consist of digitalization techniques and the potential for economic activity. Observation results show that the economic performance of the Patipi Bay district's population remains relatively low. There has been no significant improvement in economic performance over the last few decades, which has impacted local community empowerment and indicators of productive activity. The research concluded that digitalization in the Patipi Bay district must be continually refined. This is a duty and responsibility of the government. The district's abundant natural resources have the potential to become a sustainable economic source for the community. Through digitalization, residents will be able to access numerous sources of information to develop their businesses.

This study aims to measure the level of consumer preference for organoleptic factors of pindang fish produced from the traditional scavenger business of Dedawang Hamlet, Telukjati Dawang Village, Tambak Sub-district, Bawean Island - Gresik Regency.The research was conducted from July to September 2020 involving 221 respondents from various backgrounds as panelists to assess the level of preference for pindang fish. The test material came from one of the scaling efforts carefully selected by the researcher. The organoleptic test includes 8 (eight) things, namely: taste, deviated odor (indication of deterioration), specific aroma, color, appearance, consistency, packaging aesthetics, and durability. The results showed that the durability factor (score 93.57), product aesthetics (score 90.48), smell (score 86.35), and distinctive aroma (score 81.35) were the main attractions for consumers buying pindang fish. While the appearance (score 53.07), consistency (score 63.51), color (score 65.41), and taste (score 68.17) are things that need to be improved to increase attractiveness to consumers. Fisheries business actors in Indonesia have different backgrounds in knowledge, education, social and psychology. This diversity creates obstacles to the application of traceability of Indonesian fishery products, so that they lack competitiveness in the international market. The research aims to find some simple schemes that are easily understood by Indonesian fisheries businesses to implement traceability extensively. Descriptive research method. Data were obtained from terrestrial surveys and interviews with business actors spread across various fishery centers in East Java, since 2015 until now. The results of the observations are arranged in a simple matrix to find the suitability of the behavior of the design business actors at each observation point. The results of the analysis show that: the commitment and consistency of the fisheries businessman is largely determined by the factors of knowledge, education, social, and psychology respectively. Knowledge is the best aspect of power to create the drafting of search data; because this aspect turns out to be 'forced' to 'understand' by all parties doing business. The design of the accuracy of the meeting point of upstream search data with downstream traceability can be realized through the dissemination of knowledge in a simple and applicable manner continuously, extending to all lines and implanted to consumers from an early age. The weak implementation of traceability in Indonesia is caused by the lack of consumer understanding of the importance of search data; which has a strong impact on suppliers to "ignore" the implementation of traceability for local products.

Teluk Pattipi merupakan wilayah distrik yang sekaligus menyimpan sejarah luhur adat istiadat, dan budaya masuknya peradaban Islam di Papua dibawah pemangku adat Raja Petuanan Teluk Pattipi. Sebagaimana namanya, maka kawasan ini terdiri dari 9 kampung yang seluruhnya berada di pesisir menghadap ke teluk yang menyimpan eksotika dan keberlimpahan sumber daya alam khas Papua. Penelitian bertujuan menguak potensi partisipatif kinerja ekonomi kreatif masyarakat adat raja petuanan Teluk Pattipi berdasarkan kompetensi, kapabilitas, dan budaya kerjanya. Penelitian dilaksanakan bulan Januari sampai dengan April 2023. Populasi penelitian adalah masyarakat adat pada distrik Teluk Pattipi, dan sampel yang diteliti adalah anggota masyarakat yang memiliki usaha produktif mengolah produk hasil kekayaan alam melalui produksi dan promosi pariwisata serta hal-hal yang terkait langsung. Metode analisis kombinasi kuantitatif menggunakan alat bantu statistik pada perangkat spss dan analisis kualitatif berjenjang menggunakan alat analisis shift share, webbed analysis diagram, dan fish bone diagram dengan pembobotan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan perlunya upaya konkret meningkatkan kapasitas kinerja dan membina masyarakat adat agar mampu membangun jejaring bisnis global yang seluas-luasnya.

Integrity of attitude, behavior, openness and honesty are important things that capture fisheries business actors must have. Deviations in integrity are allegedly equivalent to criminal acts of corruption because they have the potential to cause very large losses to the state, which are difficult to detect and the value of the losses. In addition, failure to fulfill integrity has a huge potential for loss of sustainability of fisheries resources in the long term, and is difficult to recover. The research aims to examine the relationship between the integrity of capture fisheries business actors and efforts to preserve fish and marine resources. Descriptive research using a literature study approach combined with a limited discussion process with aquatic resource management experts in order tomaintain the sustainability of fish population dynamics due to capture fisheries exploration. The research results show that the integrity component which concerns attitudes, behavior, openness and honesty of capture fisheries business actors is an absolute thing that must be implemented and developed. Potential state losses worth billions of rupiah accompanied by massive damage to marine resources can be avoided if capture fisheries business actors carry out exploration properly and report their activities honestly and openly to the competent government authorities as a control over resource sustainability.

The work behavior of seaweed cooperative members must demonstrate high performance. Seaweed, as one of the national strategic products being promoted by the Indonesian Government, must be able to compete as a high-quality export product in the global market. This study aims to evaluate the performance of seaweed cooperative members (Gracillaria sp.) in terms of developing work ethic, motivation, competence, capability, and integrity in seaweed cultivation in Sidoarjo Regency. A descriptive study using an empirical survey approach was conducted on members of the Agar Sentosa Makmur seaweed cooperative in Sidoarjo Regency. Data were collected through in-depth interviews. The interview results were weighted on a scale of 1-10 and analyzed using statistical tools to determine the correlation between the variables studied. The results showed that the cooperative members' capabilities in cultivation were high. This level of capability still needs to be balanced by improving their competence.

Manajemen usaha perikanan menjadi kebutuhan mendasar agar para pelaku usaha perikanan dapat tumbuh dan berkembang. Penelitian bertujuan membuka fakta empiris mengenai evaluasi kinerja kelompok petambak rumput laut desa devisa di Kupang, kecamatan Jabon kabupaten Sidoarjo dalam rangka mendorong penguatan budidaya rumput laut Gracilaria spp. Secara berkelanjutan. Penelitian deskriptif menggunakan pendekatan teknis analisis secara kombinasi kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Responden sebagai sumber data penelitian, ditetapkan secara sengaja berjumlah 141 orang. Data diperoleh melalui pengamatan mendalam disertai wawancara; hal mana hasil wawancara dikonversikan ke dalam nilai angka dengan menggunakan teknik pembobotan. Analisis data dilakukan berjenjang untuk memperoleh gambaran ilmiah berbagai faktor internal dan eksternal yang berpengaruh terhadap evaluasi kinerja pengelolaan sumber daya rumput laut. Hasil penelitian menekankan pentingnya pembentukan dan penguatan kinerja kelompok petambak ke dalam bentuk organisasi yang dapat mewadahi anggotanya dalam suatu tatanan pekerjaan yang profesional agar usaha rumput laut terus tumbuh dan berkembang.
