Abstract

The problem that occurs in this study is the lack of interpersonal communication skills of students, which causes students to be inferior and ashamed to give their opinions due to lack of interpersonal communication. At the same time, peer counseling services are an alternative to solving students' problems with how to communicate with students privately. The purpose of this research is to improve interpersonal communication through peer counseling services. This research uses a qualitative approach with a guidance and counseling action research design (PTBK). For data collection, researchers used observations and interviews and used a questionnaire, which was then analyzed to obtain conclusions. Based on observations during the provision of peer counseling services cycle 1 to cycle two is done, an increase in interpersonal communication skills of students by 0.33 points or 10% from the period I to cycle II. So it can be concluded that the peer counseling service has succeeded in improving personal communication among students of SMK Gajah Mada Bandar Lampung.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: 1. Communication between teachers and parents at SD Negeri 1 Beringin Raya, 2. A description of the quality of learning at SD Negeri 1 Beringin Raya. The study was conducted with a qualitative method approach. The research variables consisted of parent and teacher homeroom teacher communication and learning quality. The sample of this research is the fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 1 Beringin Raya, the subject of this study is the homeroom teacher and the principal The data collection methods in this study were interviews and observations. Based on the results of the study it can be seen that there is a lack of communication between teachers and guardians of students at SD Negeri 1 Beingin Raya. This shows that the influence of communication between parents and teachers is not good, because they do not have openness, empathy, support, positive feelings, parents give full responsibility to teachers at school. The effect of communication between people and teachers on improving the quality of learning that is of poor quality, Quality of learning media, and Learning Systems in schools. The description of the influence of parent and teacher communication on improving the quality of learning in class V in SD Negeri 1 Beringin Raya is in the less strong category, it shows that when the communication between parents and teacher is not good. The quality of learning in class V is good but if the parents' communication with the teacher does not go well then the effect is not good on the quality of learning for students.

Abstract

This article focuses on guidance and counseling teachers attempt to increase students' understanding of career choice plans by using information because there is still a low level of career choice plans for the future, so information services are needed to increase students' understanding. about career choice plans. This writing method is a literature study (review). The data and information obtained comes from various reading sources and is compiled based on the results of studies from the data and information obtained. The data analysis technique is descriptive argumentative. Writing is done by looking at the relationship and synchronization between one data and information and other data and information according to the topic being studied. Then conclusions are drawn from the written work.Based on data discussion, it can be concluded that the efforts of guidance and counseling teachers to increase students' understanding of planning career choices by using information services can help students with knowledge about themselves and the world of work so that students are able to plan and make the right decisions. for his future career.

Abstract

The current crisis in character education among students and the need for its implementation to address moral and behavioral problems are highlighted. This article also emphasizes the importance of character education in shaping the younger generation and the role of various stakeholders, including parents and teachers, in its implementation. The article describes the methods and goals of character education, as well as the implementation of character education in formal educational institutions. It also outlines the goals of character education in schools and its significance in shaping the behavior, attitudes, and personalities of students. This provides a comprehensive overview of the concept of character education and its significance in the Indonesian educational context. It discusses various definitions of character, the formation of character, and the goals and essence of character education in formal educational institutions. The article also emphasizes the importance of character education in shaping the behavior, attitudes, and personalities of students, as well as the role of various stakeholders in its implementation.

Abstract

This article focuses on self regulated learning techniques, as an effort to form independence learning and critical thinking skills in student. Indonesian students are independent students, students who are responsible for the learning process and learning outcomes. Apart from having independence in learning, indonesian students are also students who reason crtically, that is able to objectively process information, able to create linkages between various information, able to analyze various information, able to evaluate and counclude information. The writing method is a literature studi (review). Data and informations obtained derived from various reading sources and compiled based on the results of studies from data and the informations obtained. Data analysis technique is descriptive argumentative. Writing done by looking at the interrelationhips and synchronization between data and informations one with data and informations other informations according to the topic under study. Self regulated learning techniques for students are the ability to develop self directed learning and critical thinking skills students. In an effort to from independent learning and critical thinking skill in students one of them is academic counseling. The self regulated learning technique helps students develop a more effective way of learning, helping students to succeed in learning and able to adapt to all the demands of education.

Abstract

This research is a guidance and counseling action research (PTBK) which aims to determine whether the problem of online game addiction of class VIII students can be reduced through group counseling with the Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) technique. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII A, totaling 31 students of SMP Negeri 14 Bandar Lampungr. Determination of the subject of this study as many as 5 students, students' online game addiction to 5 students has a high category. Through the results of observations made in the early stages, it was found that 5 students had problems with high online game addiction in students. Then after being given services with the Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) technique which was carried out in group counseling, it was seen that the level of online game addiction was well reduced. This can be addressed with the results of observational data and interviews that have been conducted on students. Thus it can be concluded that the results of the research in the first cycle of a decrease in the level of online game addiction possessed by students through the Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) technique, this can be seen from the first cycle the average achievement of the online game addiction level of 5 students is 47.06% in the medium category and in the second cycle there was a decrease with an average of 37.4% in the low category.

Abstract

This paper is the result of a qualitative descriptive study that aims to find out empirical evidence about the implementation of guidance and counseling at Bakung 1 Elementary School in Bandar Lampung. The results of the study show that the implementation of guidance and counseling refers to the results of understanding of students. The strategies applied by classroom teachers consist of integrating guidance and counseling material into the subject matter, choosing the right method and media, remedial, building empathic communication, setting an example, appreciating and strengthening, identifying and choosing assistance programs, and transfer of hands. Class teacher competence still needs to be improved so that the implementation of guidance and counseling in Elementary Schools can be programmed well.

Abstract

Weak empathy results in a lack of destructive behaviour in social life, intolerance, and discrimination. Empathy is a more comprehensive and profound concept than conventional empathy. This study is a scoping literature review that aims to identify what is known about empathy in helping professions. A systematic search was conducted on electronic databases, namely ScienceDirect, PubMed, Scopus, Journal Nasional, and Taylor and Francis, studies from 2010-2025. Data analysis used PRISMA-ScR (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses). The results of the study were mapped based on the following criteria: conceptualisation of empathy, factors in the development of empathy, and research on the development of empathy, and data analysed based on content analysis. The research findings show that applicable to various fields of helping professions. Factors that can influence empathy are divided into constructive empathy development, including altruism, cooperation, compassion, morality, justice, and happiness. However, destructive empathy development is related to ability, feelings, people, individuals, capacity, pain, social behaviour, and deficits. Research on empathy has developed significantly, especially in the fields of health and psychology, using quantitative research. However, further analysis is needed to develop a conceptual analysis of empathy that focuses on other fields of expertise in a more specific and comprehensive manner, taking into account the aspects, factors, and validity of empathy.
