Abstract

The well-being of students in the pursuit of knowledge is a multidimensional issue encompassing spiritual, academic, psychological, social, physical, and economic aspects. In Islamic education, this well-being is not solely determined by worldly factors but emphasizes a balance with spiritual and eschatological values. This study aims to reconceptualize Islamic student well-being through a thematic analysis of tarbawi (educational) hadiths. Employing a qualitative method with a library-based research design, data were analyzed from primary and secondary sources related to educational hadiths and Islamic well-being. The findings reveal that tarbawi hadiths contain integral principles of well-being, structured into six key dimensions: spiritual, academic, psychological, social, physical, and economic. These insights offer a new conceptual framework for understanding student well-being within a holistic Islamic educational paradigm. Kesejahteraan mahasiswa dalam menuntut ilmu merupakan isu multidimensional yang mencakup aspek spiritual, akademik, psikologis, sosial, fisik, dan ekonomi. Dalam konteks pendidikan Islam, kesejahteraan ini tidak hanya ditentukan oleh faktor duniawi, tetapi juga menekankan keseimbangan dengan orientasi ukhrawi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merumuskan kembali konsep kesejahteraan mahasiswa Muslim (Islamic student well-being) melalui pendekatan tematik terhadap hadis-hadis tarbawi. Menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan desain studi kepustakaan, data dianalisis dari berbagai literatur primer dan sekunder mengenai hadis pendidikan dan konsep kesejahteraan Islam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hadis-hadis tarbawi memuat prinsip-prinsip kesejahteraan yang integral, mencakup enam dimensi utama: spiritualitas, akademik, psikologis, sosial, fisik, dan ekonomi. Temuan ini memberikan kerangka konseptual baru dalam memahami kesejahteraan mahasiswa dalam kerangka pendidikan Islam yang komprehensif.

Abstract

The research aims to uncover and analyze the needs required to implement Islamic Education (PAI) learning in the Special School for Disabilities (SDLB) of Yayasan Amal Mulia Indonesia. The analysis is conducted through describing the factors that hinder and support the learning process. This research adopts a qualitative method, specifically ethnographic research, by interviewing PAI teachers in the SDLB of Yayasan Amal Mulia Indonesia and the Head of the SDLB, as well as conducting school observations. The research findings indicate that inhibiting factors include media facilities, cooperation with the government, the quantity of teachers, and issues regarding teaching resources for Quranic reading among hearing-impaired students. Supportive factors include the teachers' enthusiasm for teaching and cooperation with parents. In terms of needs analysis, it is necessary to establish an Islamic education curriculum specifically designed for children with special needs. Cooperation between the government and the school appears to be an urgent matter for addressing the aspirations and communication needs of the school. Additionally, raising awareness among the government regarding the implementation of PAI learning in the SDLB of Yayasan Amal Mulia Indonesia seems to be a requirement for the successful execution of the PAI curriculum.Keyword: Needs Analysis; Learning Needs; Islamic Education Learning.

Abstract

This study addresses the ongoing moral crisis by examining the implementation of a Love-Based Curriculum in Islamic education as a form of value-based learning. Madrasahs are encouraged to innovate instructional practices to foster students’ spiritual and social development through five core values: love for God and the Prophet, love for knowledge, love for oneself and others, love for the environment, and love for the homeland. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the study applies the Living Value Assessment (LVA) as both a reflective and pedagogical instrument within Islamic Cultural History (SKI) learning at Madrasah Aliyah Al Falah. LVA complements Value-Based Education (VBE) by assessing the internalization of values, while VBE provides the educational framework that supports value growth. Data were collected from reflective journals of four students in Grades X and XI. The findings show that LVA effectively identifies the five dimensions of love embedded in the Love-Based Curriculum and can be used by teachers to evaluate value integration in SKI learning.

Abstract

The decline in students’ moral conduct toward teachers and parents has become a critical issue in contemporary Islamic education, necessitating a re-examination of ethical sources that shape teacher–student and parent–child relationships. This study employs a library research method by analyzing Washoya Al Aba Lil Abna by Muhammad Syakir and Betawi parental advice through a descriptive-analytical approach. The findings reveal a strong continuity of values between the two sources, particularly regarding four key principles: the equal moral status of teachers and parents as authoritative figures, the importance of seeking the riḍā (approval) of teachers and parents, the obligation to adorn knowledge with noble character, and the encouragement of self-improvement through personal effort rather than reliance on the prestige of teachers or family lineage. These findings affirm that Betawi parental advice reflects ethical values aligned with the teachings of Sheikh Muhammad Syakir and remains relevant for reinforcing students’ foundations of adab in the contemporary era. This study contributes to the development of an Islamic education model grounded in local wisdom, making Islamic education more closely connected to students’ everyday lives.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) pada materi iman kepada hari akhir sering kali masih bersifat informatif dan berfokus pada aspek kognitif, sehingga peserta didik hanya memahami konsep-konsep eskatologis secara teoritis tanpa mampu mengaitkannya dengan perilaku dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Padahal, pemahaman mengenai hari akhir seharusnya mendorong kesadaran moral dan praktik akhlak dalam kehidupan nyata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana pendekatan pembelajaran kontekstual dapat mentransformasikan pemahaman eskatologis peserta didik dari ranah kognitif menuju afektif praksis. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus yang dilaksanakan pada siswa kelas V di Playfield School. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi pembelajaran, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif melalui proses reduksi, kategorisasi, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan kontekstual mampu membantu peserta didik mengaitkan konsep iman kepada hari akhir dengan pengalaman kehidupan sehari-hari, sehingga terjadi pergeseran pemahaman dari sekadar pengetahuan menuju kesadaran untuk mengamalkan nilai-nilai tersebut. Namun demikian, transformasi ini tidak terjadi secara instan. Peserta didik tetap memerlukan proses pembiasaan dan latihan berkelanjutan agar mampu mengonstruksi pemahamannya serta menginternalisasi nilai-nilai eskatologis dalam perilaku nyata.
