Abstract

Abstrak: Desa teniga merupakan salah satu dari 7 desa yang berada di Dataran tinggi kecematan Tanjung kabupaten Lombok Utara Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat secara geografis desa Teniga berada di ketinggian 400 m di atas permukaan Laut,  Wilayahnya memiliki Luas 1440 H dan jumlah penduduk 2933 jiwa yang dimana penduduk tersebar di 9 Dusun. di Desa Teniga bermayoritas Penduduk beragama Islam dan suku asli Sasak, Desa Teniga Memiliki potensi ekonomi disektor perkebunan dan sektor Pariwisata. Pariwisata di Indonesia merupakan salah satu sektor, yang memi1iki potensi yang layak untuk dikembangkan dan dikelolaa secara maksimal. Salah satu tempat wisata yang dapat di kembangkan sebagai desa wisata yang ada di desa teniga yaitu taman pecatu. Adapun kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk membantu masyarakat mengembangkan potensi wisata yang berada di Desa Teniga  salah satunya menjadikan Taman pecatu sebagai salah satu destinasi wisata  yang diperuntukkan untuk meningkatkan perekonomian desa. Metode yang digunakan ialah melalui penataan Taman pecatu sebagai desa wisata dengan beberapa tahapan didalamnya. Dengan adanya kegiatan pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat membuat masyarakat di desa Teniga sadar akan besarnya potensi wisata yang dimiliki sehingga dapat terus melanjutkan pengembangan agar ke depannya dapat menarik minat wisatawan dalam jumlah besar berkunjung ke desa Teniga.Abstract:  Abstract: teniga Village is one of 7 villages located in the Highlands of Tanjung kecematan, North Lombok regency, West Nusa Tenggara province geographically Teniga village is located at an altitude of 400 m above sea level, its area has an area of 1440 H and a population of 2933 people where the population is spread over 9 Hamlets. in Teniga village with a majority population of Muslims and Indigenous Sasak, Teniga village has economic potential in the plantation sector and the tourism sector. Tourism in Indonesia is one of the sectors, which memi1iki feasible potential to be developed and managed to the maximum. One of the tourist attractions that can be developed as a tourist village in teniga village is pecatu Park. The service activity aims to help the community develop tourism potential in Teniga Village, one of which is to make pecatu Park as one of the tourist destinations intended to improve the village economy. The method used is through the arrangement of pecatu Park as a tourist village with several stages in it. With this service activity, it is hoped that it can make the community in Teniga village aware of the amount of tourism potential that is owned so that it can continue to develop so that in the future it can attract large numbers of toaurists visiting Teniga village.

Abstract

Abstrak: Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan membekali  keterampilan berbahasa inggris komunikatif  bagi remaja putus sekolah di dusun lendang berora, kabupaten Lombok Utara, Nusa Tenggara Barat bertujuan guna membekali mereka dengan kemampuan berbahasa inggris komunikatif secara intensif. Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan selama 6 minggu sejak tgl 12 Oktober 2022 hingga 14 November 2022 dengan alokasi waktu 90- menit tiap pertemuan. Materi pelatihan ini difokuskan pada pengenalan fungsi – fungsi bahasa seperti menyapa, meminta maaf, menjelaskan seseorang dan sesuatu, menunjukkan arah, meminta izin dan meminta sesuatu. Metode yang digunakan adalah  orientasi,  demonstrasi, diskusi, pengulangan, umpan balik dan rutinitas perlakuan. Peserta pelatihan terdiri atas 12 remaja putus sekolah.  Hasil dari kegiatan ini terlihat adanya peningkatan keterampilan berkomunikasi aktif dengan menggunakan bahasa inggris serta meningkatnya motivasi para peserta secara signifikan.Abstract: This community service program aims to equip communicative English skills intensively to dropping out school teenagers in lendang berora village, North Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara Province.  This training held for six weeks, from October 12 until November 14 2022 with time allocation 90 minutes for every session. Topic in this training consists of introducing language functions such as greeting, asking, apologizing, requesting, explaining something or someone, giving directions, asking permission, and asking something. Method used in this program are orientation,discussion, demonstration, drilling, feedback and repetition. Participants consist of 12 drop out teenagers. The result of this program showed that there is an improvement in communication skills using Eglish actively and arouse their motivation significantly.

Abstract

ABSTRAKKebersihan lingkungan merupakan tanggung jawab setiap warga masyarakat. Lingkungan yang sehat mencerminkan kualitas hidup masyarakat dan menjamin terjaganya kesehatan setiap individu. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan di Desa Teniga, Kecamatan Tanjung, Kabupaten Lombok Utara. Salah satu masalah yang perlu diperhatikan di daerah ini adalah pencemaran lingkungan, yaitu sampah organik dan anorganik berupa limbah rumah tangga yang dapat merusak kebersihan lingkungan. Adapun tujuan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk  meningkatkan  kepedulian  masyarakat Desa teniga terhadap pentingnya kebersihan dan kesehatan lingkungan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini yaitu dengan pelaksanaan sosialisasi perihal pemilahan sampah yang tepat. Aksi lapangan diataranya dengan kegiatan pembagian plastik sampah sebagai wadah sementara yang di bagikam di rumah rumah masyarakat Desa Teniga, memonitoring tiga kali dalam satu minggu guna mengetahui masyarat telah tepat dalam pemilahan sampah. Pemilahan sampah organik dan Anorganik memanfaatkan sampah menjadi bahan kreasi atau kerajinan tangan untuk sampah anorganik dan Pembuatan gumelang  untuk proses pembuatan kompos bagi sampah organik. Mengajak masyarakat gotong royong bersama membersihkan lingkungan di sekitar desa teniga. Kegiatan pengabdian dapat terlaksana dengan baik atas dukungan antusias dan kontribusi dari masyarakat di Desa Teniga.Kata Kunci: Kesadaran, Masyarakat,bersih  ABSTRACT Environmental cleanliness is the responsibility of every citizen. A healthy environment reflects the quality of life of society and ensures the maintenance of the health of each individual. This community service program was carried out in Teniga Village, Tanjung District, North Lombok Regency. One of the problems that needs to be considered in this area is environmental pollution, namely organic and inorganic waste in the form of household waste which can damage environmental cleanliness. The aim of this service is to increase the awareness of the Teniga Village community regarding the importance of environmental cleanliness and health. The method used in this service is by carrying out socialization regarding proper waste sorting. Field actions include distributing plastic waste as temporary containers which are distributed in the homes of the people of Teniga Village, monitoring three times a week to find out if the community is correct in sorting waste. Sorting organic and inorganic waste, using waste to make creative materials or handicrafts for inorganic waste and making gumelang for the process of making compost for organic waste. Inviting the community to work together to clean the environment around Teniga village. Community service activities can be carried out well with enthusiastic support and contributions from the community in Teniga Village. Keywords: Awareness, society,clean

Abstract

This community service program aims to give education for coastal community at cemara beach, Lembar – West Lombok about the importance of coastal cleanliness to maintain coastal ecosystem, minimize dangerous impact of plastic waste and coastal clean-up movement. This program held to improve community participation to keep coastal area clean. The level of public awareness in Cemare beach coastal area still low, it is indicated by accumulation of plastic rubbish everywhere in that area. The method used in this community service was counselling and coastal clean-up movement by collected plastic waste around coastal area together. This program give positive impact to public awareness in order to preserving coastal ecosystem. This activity supported by local government and youth association, it held very interesting and useful to arouse public awareness and keep coastal area clean regularly. The positive result of this community service program can minimize rubbish accumulation spots along coastal area and maintain mangrove forest ecosystem. The expected outputs from this program were community can understand and apply awareness of beach cleanliness to increase economic growth from marine tourism in West Nusa Tenggara Province

Abstract

Improving Students Writing Ability & Creativity in Procedure Text through Technology Pedagogic Content Knowledge. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the TPCK-based learning model on Canva application to improve students' writing ability and creativity in writing text procedures. This research is classroom action research consisting of 2 cycles, each cycle consists of 4 main stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects in this study were 25 students of class X SMAN I Kediri, West Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, writing assignments and field notes. The data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively including collecting data, coding, comparing, making interpretations and reporting the results. The results showed that the application of project-based learning experiences can improve students' writing skills and creativity. This project-based learning experience can significantly increase students' curiosity, interest and motivation, encourage changes in students' attitudes and behaviors to develop their writing skills and creativity, teachers can monitor and assess students' progress through the results of student work projects regularly.  The results showed that the average score of students in the pre-test 11.58 increased to 15.84 in the post test with a difference of 4.26. The findings mean that the technology-based learning model can significantly improve students' writing skills and creativity in writing procedure texts.

Abstract

Despite a wealth of research on the acquisition of English reading skills, few studies have focused on the process from the perspective of learners’ experiences and cognitive strategies, especially within an English as a Foreign Language (EFL) context. A significant portion of existing research relies on established models rather than extracting insights directly from students, which creates a gap in understanding the development of reading proficiency in actual academic environments. This study seeks to create a grounded theory of English reading skill acquisition by exploring the experiences, challenges, and strategies of EFL learners. Utilizing a constructivist grounded theory methodology, data was gathered via semi-structured interviews with thirty undergraduate students across various proficiency levels (beginner, intermediate, and advanced) and ten English language instructors. The analysis employed the constant comparative method, which included open coding to identify themes, axial coding to recognize relationships, and selective coding to construct a theoretical framework. Results indicate that students face obstacles such as limited vocabulary, complicated sentence structures, cultural unfamiliarity, and reading anxiety, while utilizing strategies like skimming, scanning, predicting meanings, summarizing, and applying translation tools. Instructors highlight the necessity of explicit instruction in reading strategies and scaffolding techniques to aid learners. The study concludes that effective reading instruction should combine strategy-based learning with techniques to alleviate anxiety, ensuring that teaching methods are in tune with students’ cognitive processes to improve reading proficiency in higher education EFL settings

Abstract

This study analyzes the correlation between knowledge mastery and English reading ability in 17 English Education students of Muhammadiyah University of Mataram. The correlational quantitative method was applied with comprehension test and reading test instruments, then analyzed using the Pearson test. The results showed a very strong correlation of 0.905 (p 0.001), indicating that increasing comprehension mastery is closely related to increasing reading ability. This finding emphasizes the importance of emphasizing learning in an effort to improve understanding of English academic texts.
