Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena penggunaan bahan ajar yang digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran masih menoton serta kurangnya pemanfaatan media pembelajaran yang mengaitkan materi dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Untuk itu dalam penelitian ini dirancang desain dan uji coba bahan ajar e-modul interaktif  melalui pendekatan chemoentrepreneurship (CEP) pada materi asam basa. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan desain Borg dan Gall yang dilakukan di SMA Negeri 1 Kampar Kiri Tengah. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu 1 orang sebagai ahli media, 1 orang sebagai ahli materi, 2 orang guru kimia dan 10 orang peserta didik di SMAN 1 Kampar Kiri Tengah untuk mengetahui respons terhadap media. Data yang diambil dalam penelitian ini yaitu berupa observasi, wawancara dan angket. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa angket validitas, angket praktikalitas dan angket respons peserta didik. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan deskriptif kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh persentase penilaian validasi media sebesar 100% dengan kriteria sangat valid, validasi materi sebesar 76,78% dengan kriteria valid, persentase penilaian pada uji praktikalitas guru sebesar 88,88% dan peserta didik sebesar 84,37% dengan kriteria sangat praktis.

Abstract

The implementation of Merdeka curriculum has not long been established as the national curriculum, so many schools still lack teaching materials with limited textbooks.  This research aimed at developing STREAM (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) based Pancasila student profile strengthening project module on Chemical Bond lesson, and it was conducted with validity test by media and material experts, teacher practicality test, and student response test.  Research and Development (RnD) method was used in this research with Design and Development Research (DDR).  This research was conducted at State Senior High Schools 14 and 1 Pekanbaru.  The research findings showed that the validity scores were 82.6% by media experts with very valid category and 87.45% by material experts with very valid category.  The result of teacher practicality test showed that the mean was 93.84%, and it was on very practical category.  The last test was student response test, the result was 83.58%, and it was on very valid category.  The research findings showed that STREAM-based P5 teaching module developed was very valid, practical, and interesting for students.

Abstract

AbstractScience generic skill is a basic thinking skill needed in learning science. Student science generic skill was on low category, so the appropriate learning model was needed to solve it. This research aimed at finding out the effect of Case Based Learning (CBL) model toward student science generic skill on Crude Oil lesson at the eleventh grade.  This research was conducted on Crude Oil lesson in the Academic Year of 2023/2024 at State Senior High School 3 Tapung. Quasi-experiment method was used in this research. The subjects of this research were 2 classes experiment and control groups, selected by using purposive sampling technique. Based on the research findings, posttest showed that the significance score (2-tailed) 0.038 was lower than 0.05, so it showed that there was a significant difference between experiment and control groups. Besides, N-gain mean of experiment group science generic skill was 0.52, and the control group was 0.41. Therefore, it could be concluded that CBL model affected student science generic skill on Crude Oil lesson at the eleventh grade. The research findings were expected to help teachers in increasing student science generic skill by using CBL model in the learning process.Keywords : Case Based Learning, Science Generic Skill, Crude Oil

Abstract

This research was motivated by the lack of learning media using information and communication technology and the creation of student-centred, interactive, and multimedia networking learning patterns in the chemistry learning process. This research aimed at designing and finding out validity and practicality levels of Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics approach based interactive media with Nearpod developed on Chemical Bond lesson.  Research and Development (R&D) method was used in this research with Design Development Research (DDR) model, and the steps were analysis, design, development, and evaluation.  This research was conducted at State Senior High School 1 Benai.  The instruments of collecting data were interview sheet, validity test questionnaire, practicality test questionnaire, and student response questionnaire.  The validity test results showed that the percentage results were 94.64% by material experts and 90% by media experts with very valid criteria.  The percentage result of teacher practicality test was 91.66% with very practical criteria, and the percentage result of student response test was 94.88% with very interesting criteria, it can therefore be concluded that interactive media using Nearpod based on the science, technology, religion, engineering, art, and mathematics approach in chemical bonding material is worth trying out as additional teaching material in chemistry lessons.

Abstract

This research was motivated by students’ difficulties in understanding the concepts of electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solution material, and there is no E-module based on JAS (explore the nature around) approach in supporting student science literature on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution materials.  This research aimed at knowing the practicality and validity of E-module module based on JAS (explore the nature around) approach.  This research was conducted at state senior high school 1 Pekanbaru 2020/2021 academic year.  This research was research and development research using Borg & Gall model.  The subjects of this research were media and material experts who tested the validity, chemistry teachers and students (practicality test).  Interview and questionnaire were used for collecting the data.  The final result was the valid learning media.  The result of learning media E-module based on JAS (explore the nature around) approach in supporting student science literature on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution materials have been tested valid by the media expert was 79% in very valid category and material expert was 89.11% in very valid category. The practical tested by 1 chemistry teacher was 92.5% in very practical category, the practicality tested from 10 students were 88.5% in very practical category.  Therefore, it could be concluded that designing and trying out E-module based on JAS (explore the nature around) approach could support student science literature on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution materials.

Abstract

Materi laju reaksi merupakan salah satu materi yang membutuhkan praktikum dalam memahami konsepnya. Namun ketersediaan bahan baku yang minim dan expired menjadi masalah dalam praktiknya. Untuk itu, adanya pengembangan penuntun praktikum elektronik berbasis green chemistry bantuan google sites untuk mempermudah pengembangan kegiatan praktikum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil uji validitas dan praktikalitas penuntun praktikum elektronik berbasis green chemistry menggunakan bantuan google sites pada materi laju reaksi yang dikembangkan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode pengembangan DDR type 2 yaitu proses desain (design), pengembangan (development) dan evaluasi (evaluation) dengan berfokus proses teknik dan desain menjadi sebuah pengembangan baru. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian dilakukan dengan wawancara, angket, dan dokumentasi. Hasil pengumpulan data dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan skala likert dengan temuan hasil validitas dari ahli media dan ahli materi memperoleh persentase 80% dan 78% dengan kategori valid. Kemudian uji praktikalitas oleh guru mata pelajaran kimia memperoleh persentase 81% dengan kategori sangat praktis dan uji respon dari peserta didik memperoleh persentase 86% dengan kategori sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil uji validitas, uji praktikalitas dan uji respon, disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran penuntun praktikum elektronik berbasis green chemistry dengan bantuan google sites pada materi laju reaksi yaitu layak dan sangat praktis digunakan dalam proses kegiatan pembelajaran praktikum laju reaksiKeywords : Penuntun Praktikum Elektronik, Kimia Hijau, DDR, Laju Reaksi, Google Sites

Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed at developing a product in the form of Android Based Chemistry learning application using Appypie as an instructional media on Compound Nomenclature lesson.  This research was administered at State Senior High School 1 Siak Hulu.  Designing Android based Chemistry instructional media was done by using development model adapting five early stages of Borg and Gall model.  The subjects of this research were learning material experts, media design experts, Chemistry subject teachers, and the students.  The object was Android based instructional media using Appypie.  Instruments of this research were validity and practicality test questionnaires.  Research findings showed that Android based instructional media using Appypie was stated valid with 78% percentage (valid) by material experts and 89% by the experts of Android based instructional media using Appypie.  The designed media was stated practical by Chemistry subject teachers and students, 82 % percentage (very practical) was by Chemistry subject teachers and 87 % percentage (very practical) was by students.  Based on these results, it could be concluded that Android based Chemistry learning application using Appypie as an instructional media on Compound Nomenclature lesson was valid and practical to be an instructional media at a school.  Keywords: Instructional Media, Android, Appypie, Compound Nomenclature  AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa aplikasi pembelajaran kimia berbasis android menggunakan “Appypie” sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi tata nama senyawa, penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri 1 Siak Hulu. Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed at knowing whether there was or not an effect and increase of values of Community of Inquiry (CoI) based Blended Learning model toward student learning achievement. It was Quasi Experimental research—a research that used an Experimental group and a Control group determined the difference of two variables. The samples of this research were 2 groups—the tenth-grade students of Natural Science 4 (the Experimental group) that were 36 students taught by using Community of Inquiry based Blended Learning model and the students of Natural Science 5 (the Control group) that were 34 students taught by using Conventional learning. The techniques of collecting the data were written pretest and posttest. The collected data were analyzed by using Independent Sample t test and to see the effect of using the coefficient of determination. The final data processing results obtained tcount of 1.778 while the value of ttable at a significant level of 5% = 1.684 then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Means there is an influence of blended learning model based on community of inquiry (CoI) with conventional learning models on student learning outcomes. To determine the magnitude of the effect of the treatment used the coefficient of determination formula and the results obtained by 0.04, so the coefficient of influence (Kp) obtained is equal to 4%.Keywords : Blended Learning, Community of Inquiry, Learning Achievement, Atomic Structure and Periodic System of the Elements

Abstract

AbstractThis research was instigated by Senior High School students who were not interested in Chemistry subject, so the efforts to increase student interest were needed, one of which was by using Android based interactive learning media. This research aimed at finding out the effect of using Android based interactive learning medium toward student learning interest on Oxidation Reduction Reactions lesson at Sport State Senior High School Riau Province. The use of Android based interactive learning medium was expected able to improve chemistry learning more interesting and effective. Quantitative approach was used in this research with quasi-experiment method and pretest-posttest design. Total sampling technique was used in this research, the tenth-grade students of Natural Science 2 were as the experiment group, and the students of Natural Science 1 were as the control group. The data of student learning interest were obtained by using questionnaire instrument and analyzed by using t-test and determination coefficient to find out the effect on student learning interest in the significance score. Based on the results obtained, the score of tobserved was 6.061, sig 2-tailed was 0.000, and ttable was 2.018. If the significance score 0.000 was lower than 0.05 and the score of tobserved was higher than ttable, it could be concluded that Null hypothesis (H0) was rejected and Ha was accepted. It meant that there was a significant effect of using Android based interactive learning medium toward student learning interest with the effect coefficient 16.4%. Keywords : Android Based Interactive Learning Media, Learning Interest, Oxidation Reduction Reactions

Abstract

Recitation method by using a learning medium in the form of application needed to be trained and optimized for students in the learning process; one of them is Chemsketch application. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of the recitation method using the Chemsketch application to improve student learning outcomes on hydrocarbon material. This research was conducted in the academic year 2022/2023 at SMA Negeri 1 Hulu Kuantan with the main material being hydrocarbons. The method used in this study was quasi-experimental where the subjects in this study consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. The instruments used in the study were pretest-posttest, interviews, and documentation to strengthen the data obtained. The results of the posttest study showed a significance value (2-tailed) of 0 <0,05, indicating that there was a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class. In addition, the average N-gain ability of experimental class students is 47,63% in the high category and 33,33% in the medium category. The results of this study are expected to help teachers improve student learning outcomes by using the Chemsketch application with recitation method.
