Abstract

Cognitive development shows the characteristics of children's intelligence. This is an aspect of the development of children's intelligence at all levels of education. Education must provide space for children's intelligence growth through responsive learning to children's potential. The pandemic period has had an impact on the child's cognitive development system, it is realized that there are positive things but there are also negative symptoms that must be studied and taken into account in the future. The results of the discussion of this paper conclude that; First, children's cognitive development is a mental process that encourages the formation of behavioral changes. This development generally refers to aspects of children's intelligence so as to encourage them to acquire new skills in receiving, storing information and then being able to use it in life. The process of cognitive development lasts from birth until a human dies. Second, the cognitive development of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah children during the pandemic can be optimized by creating a conducive learning environment by understanding children, providing children's play space, parents and teachers realizing that children are not half adults, children are in the imitating phase. learning. The assistance provided must still provide space for children to remain creative which is avoided from the pressure and coercion of studying at home. Knowledge of children's development during the pandemic is needed to further maximize children's cognitive development at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze teacher professionalism and professionality as professional educators. The problem examined is the competencies that professional teachers must possess according to the mandate of the law. The method used is a literature study by examining various sources related to teacher professionalism. The results show that professional teachers must master four main competencies, namely pedagogical, professional, social, and personality competencies. Teacher professionalism is determined by the quality of attitudes towards the profession and the level of knowledge and expertise possessed. Teacher competence is a combination of knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes reflected in habits of thinking and acting. It can be concluded that increasing teacher professionalism requires comprehensive mastery of competencies and development of positive attitudes towards the teaching profession. Efforts to improve teacher competence and qualifications need to be carried out continuously to realize quality education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran guru mata pelajaran Seni Budaya dalam memanfaatkan barang bekas sebagai media pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa kelas 4 MIN 2 Makassar serta mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor penghambat yang dihadapi guru dalam proses tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek penelitian terdiri atas 31 siswa kelas 4 dan satu orang guru Seni Budaya. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran guru sangat penting dalam merancang dan melaksanakan pembelajaran dengan memanfaatkan barang bekas, seperti kardus, botol plastik, dan kertas bekas, untuk dijadikan alat peraga yang menarik. Guru juga berperan sebagai fasilitator dan motivator dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa selama proses pembelajaran. Namun demikian, terdapat beberapa kendala yang dihadapi guru, antara lain keterbatasan waktu, minimnya akses terhadap pengetahuan pendukung, kurangnya dorongan, keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana, serta gangguan konsentrasi akibat kebisingan. Dampak pada penelitian ini yaitu: Peningkatan Minat dan Keterlibatan Siswa: Penggunaan barang bekas seperti kardus, botol plastik, dan kertas bekas sebagai alat peraga membuat pembelajaran menjadi lebih menarik dan kontekstual. Peningkatan Peran Guru: Guru berperan sebagai perancang, fasilitator, dan motivator dalam proses pembelajaran, sehingga mampu mengembangkan inovasi dalam mengajar. Kesimpulannya, pemanfaatan barang bekas oleh guru Seni Budaya mampu meningkatkan minat belajar siswa, meskipun masih terdapat hambatan yang perlu diatasi untuk optimalisasi proses pembelajaran

Abstract

Learning to read the Quran is one of the subjects in Islamic Religious Education in schools. Islamic Religious Education serves as a means of knowledge transformation in the religious aspect (cognitive aspect), as a tool for transforming norms and moral values to shape attitudes (affective aspect), playing a role in controlling behavior (psychomotor aspect), thus creating a complete human personality. The aim of this research is to determine (1) the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in enhancing the Quran reading abilities of students at SMAN 15 Makassar and (2) the supporting and inhibiting factors affecting the role of PAI teachers in improving Quran reading abilities. The researcher used a qualitative approach, employing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. Data sources were obtained from the school principal, PAI teachers, and students of SMAN 15 Makassar. The data processing involved three stages: data reduction, data display, and verification/conclusion. The results showed that the role of PAI teachers in enhancing students' Quran reading abilities includes providing motivation, implementing effective methods, and serving as a learning source and guide. The methods used for improving students' Quran reading abilities are Iqro' method, demonstration method, and memorization method. Factors influencing students' Quran reading abilities consist of supporting factors such as parental support, teacher support, and a positive environment. In contrast, inhibiting factors include the use of social media and students' lack of awareness regarding the importance of learning to read the Quran

Abstract

This study discusses “The Relationship Between Learning Styles and Learning Results of Class VI.A Students in the Subjects of Natural and Social Sciences at SD Inpres Mangasa Gowa.” The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a relationship between learning styles and the learning results of Class VI.A students in the subjects of Natural and Social Sciences at SD Inpres Mangasa. This research is a correlational study using a quantitative approach. The population and sample consisted of 25 students. Data collection techniques included observation, documentation, and questionnaires. The correlation technique used was the product moment. This research was conducted at SD Inpres Mangasa Gowa. The results of the study indicate that there is a significant relationship between learning styles and learning results in Natural and Social Sciences. The study showed that the calculated r value (rcalculated) was 0.643, which falls into the strong category (values between 0.60–0.799), with a calculated t value (tcalculated) of 4.023. Therefore, the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Hₐ) was accepted. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination was 41.3%, indicating that learning styles contribute 41.3% to learning results in Natural and Social Sciences, while the remaining percentage is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of teachers’ personality in improving students’ learning motivation in Mathematics for fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Sudiang. The focus of this research is to examine how teachers’ attitudes, personalities, and behaviors influence students’ enthusiasm for learning, as well as to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in the process. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results show that teachers’ personality plays a significant role in enhancing students’ learning motivation. Teachers who are patient, disciplined, and communicative are able to create an enjoyable and conducive learning atmosphere that increases students’ enthusiasm for Mathematics. However, challenges remain, such as students’ low interest in learning, teachers’ limited time due to administrative duties, and lack of family support. Therefore, improving students’ learning motivation requires collaboration among teachers, schools, and parents to build a positive and inspiring learning environment.
