Abstract

Masa remaja merupakan masa peralihan dari kanak-kanak menuju dewasa yang rentan mengalamiberbagai permasalahan sosial. Permasalahan sosial remaja di Kelurahan Lok Bahu Kota Samarindameliputi perilaku menyimpang seperti perkelahian, mabuk-mabukan, balapan liar, dan penggunaannarkoba. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pelayanan sasaranmitra tentang pendampingan psikososial melalui program support group di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Lok Bahu Kelurahan Lok Bahu Kota Samarinda. Metode yang digunakan adalah program support groupdengan pendekatan personal, pendampingan, keagamaan, olahraga dan seni, serta penyaluran bakat danminat. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di SMKN 15 Samarinda dengan sasaran siswa-siswi kelas XI. Hasilkegiatan menunjukkan perubahan perilaku yang signifikan pada peserta, dengan total skor awal 601meningkat menjadi 1008 setelah perlakuan. Perubahan perilaku terlihat pada aspek perhatian, keaktifanberpartisipasi, komunikasi, keberanian mengemukakan pendapat, serta pemahaman tujuan dan cita-cita.Program support group terbukti efektif sebagai strategi penanganan permasalahan sosial remaja,memberikan fungsi terapeutik sebagai faktor dukungan, keterbukaan diri dan katarsis, pembelajarankebijaksanaan dari anggota kelompok, serta pemahaman hubungan dengan orang lain dan diri sendiri.

Abstract

Introduction: Stroke is one of the main health problems, not only in Indonesia but in the world. Stroke occurs when the brain's blood vessels experience a blockage or rupture which results in part of the brain not getting the blood supply that carries the necessary oxygen so that cell/ tissue death occurs.  Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the risk factors for Stroke in Stroke patients in the Linggang Bigung Health Center working area.  Methods: This study used a descriptive retrospective research design, with a sample size of 22 respondents. Results and Discussion: The results of the study obtained as many as 7 respondents (32%) each with the latest education not in school and elementary school. The majority of 14 respondents (65%) were >55 years old, with the majority of 13 respondents (59%) being male, 16 respondents (73%) had no family history of Stroke, in this study all respondents had hypertension, 13 respondents (59%) had DM, 18 respondents (82%) each smoked and consumed alcohol, while 21 respondents (95%) were not obese.  Conclusion: In this study most, respondents were aged >55 years, male gender, had smoking behavior and alcohol consumption and all respondents in this study had hypertension.

Abstract

Introduction: Integrated Development Post of Non-Convenient Diseases is an activity for early detection and monitoring of risk factors for Non-Communicable Diseases that is oriented towards promotive and preventive efforts, from data on 593 patient visits during the pandemic era at the Sekolaq Darat District Health Centre, more than 92% were included in the Non-Communicable Diseases category and only 39% of sufferers of Non-Communicable Diseases attended the Integrated Non-Communicable Diseases Guidance Post. Objective: This study aims to describe and examine the relationship between variables, namely factors related to the use of Non-communicable Disease Integrated Development Posts in the Pandemic Era. Methods: The research design is a descriptive correlation with a cross-sectional approach. The statistical test used is nonparametric with Chi-Square. Results and Discussion: The relationship between knowledge, support from health workers, family support, and attitudes with the utilization of Integrated Development Post of Non-Convenient Diseases obtained p-value = 0.00<0.05 and the relationship between work and utilization of Integrated Development Post of Non-Convenient Diseases obtained p-value = 0.09>0.05. Conclusion: Knowledge, support from health workers, family support and attitudes are factors related to the utilization of the Non-Communicable Diseases Integrated Development Post

Abstract

Introduction: In 2021 people with Diabetes Mellitus at Work Area Dempar Public Health Center Dempar are still high, while patient visits to health services are still relatively low. Walking exercise is drug therapy and a healthy diet. Walking exercise performed 3-4 times a week with moderate intensity can rapidly increase the glucose transporter in skeletal muscle, so that fatty acid oxidation and glucose absorption will be accelerated. Objective: This study aims to identify the effect of programmed walking exercise on blood glucose levels in patients with type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. Method: This type of experimental research uses a quasi-experimental design without control with purposive sampling involving 11 respondents. Analysis of the data using the Reaped Measured ANOVA test. Result and Discussion: walking exercise 3 times a week there was a decrease in the average of the first week to the fourth week of 124 g/dl, p-value 0.000 (<0.05). Conclusion: that there is an effect of walking exercise on blood sugar of DM patients in the area of ??Dempar Public Health Center.

Abstract

 Breast cancer is second cause of death in women. The cases has increased so it is necessary to have early detection of breast cancer through Breast Self Examination (BSE) which needs to be done since they are teenagers, but many teenagers do not understand how to detect early breast cancer so they need education through peer education by utilizing peers to increase knowledge, attitudes and skills about BSE. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of peer education on knowledge, attitudes and skills about BSE in high school grade 2 girls. This research uses a quasi-experimental with a non-equivalent control group pre-test post-test research design. The number of samples using a total sampling of 63 students. Measuring tools in the form of Standar Operational Procedur (SOP), observation sheets and questionnaires. Mann Whitney test data analysis. Results of the study showed there were differences in knowledge (p value 0.000), attitude (p value 0.000) and skills (p value 0.000) before and after the group that was given leaflets to female students at SMK Teluk Pandan. There is a difference in knowledge (p value 0.000), attitude (p value 0.000) and skills (p value 0.000) between those who are given peer education and those who are given leaflets. Providing peer education is more effective than leaflets. Peer education increases knowledge, attitudes and skills about BSE in young women.

Abstract

Parental involvement in fostering the character of child discipline in school. Objectives: The purpose of this study is to explore the role that parents play in improving the character of children’s discipline in school. Methods: The study population consisted of 7 elementary schools with a target sample consisting of 8 school personnel and 27 parents. Data were collected using questionnaires and interviews to be analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. Findings: The most common problem at school is the dynamics of child discipline. The discipline of parents in their children’s education can improve discipline, self-esteem, cognitive development, social interaction skills, and academics as a whole. The role of parents in encouraging student discipline, it is clear that parents must be involved as shown by most respondents (66.67% of parents and 62.50% of teachers). Conclusions: Designing interventions aimed at harmonizing parental and teacher assessments in certain activities related to primary school education will be beneficial in fostering child discipline character education. Abstract

Bayi mengalami proses tumbuh kembang yang dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, salah satunya adalah gizi. Unsur gizi pada bayi dapat dipenuhi dengan pemberian ASI, bahkan sampai umur 6 bulan sesuai rekomendasi WHO diberikan ASI eksklusif. Berdasarkan data pemberian ASI Eksklusif di Puskesmas Kaubun tahun 2020 sebesar 42,35%, kurang dari target awal sebesar 45%. Artinya target belum tercapai. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui hubungan pemberian ASI Eksklusif dengan tumbuh kembang bayi usia 6 bulan di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Kaubun Tahun 2023. Desain penelitian yang digunakan peneliti dalam penelitian ini adalah studi korelasi (correlation study) dengan menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah ibu yang memiliki balita usia6-12 bulan yang berkunjung di Puskesmas Kaubun sejumlah 36 ibu, tekhnik sampling yang digunakan total sampling. Instrument dalam penelitian ini yaitu timbangan berat badan, alat ukur tinggi badan, lembar ceklis, KSPS. Analisa data menggunakan uji Chi-Square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikasi p-value = 0,001 dengan nilai odd ratio = 12,467 (Pertumbuhan) dan p-value = 0,000 (Perkembangan). Adanya hubungan pemberian ASI Eksklusif dengan tumbuh kembang bayi usia 6 bulan di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Kaubun Tahun 2023

Abstract

Gamification has surfaced as a novel methodology aimed at augmenting student involvement and understanding across a multitude of educational spheres, notably within Islamic studies. This investigation scrutinizes the efficacy of gamification in augmenting Fiqh comprehension among third-grade pupils at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 2 Enrekang, concentrating particularly on the practices of Ramadan fasting and worship. Employing a mixed-methods research design, the study incorporated Fiqh Quest, a gamified board game, into the educational framework. The quantitative evaluation, predicated on pre-test and post-test metrics of 30 students, indicated a noteworthy enhancement in the average score from 58.18 to 74.76, with 90% of participants evidencing quantifiable knowledge advancements. Qualitative observations suggested a rise in motivation, enhanced collaboration among peers, and improved retention of Fiqh concepts, facilitated by gamified components such as points, badges, and leaderboards. The role of teacher facilitation was pivotal in synchronizing gamified activities with educational objectives. While the results underscore gamification’s capacity to metamorphose passive learning into active engagement, constraints include a limited sample size and a brief intervention duration, which may influence the generalizability of the findings. Subsequent research should investigate the scalability of gamification across varied educational contexts and evaluate its enduring effects on religious education. This study furnishes empirical data endorsing gamification as an efficacious pedagogical instrument in Islamic education, providing valuable insights for curriculum developers and educators aiming to elevate student understanding and engagement through interactive learning methodologies.

Abstract

Background: Tuberculosis affects patients' quality of life including physical, psychological, and social domains. Understanding demographic factors associated with quality of life is essential for comprehensive patient care. Objective: This study aimed to analyze demographic factors related to quality of life among hospitalized tuberculosis patients. Methods: A cross-sectional analytical survey was conducted at the Daisy Ward of RSUD Dr. H. Soemarno Sosroatmodjo, Tanjung Selor. Sixty-eight tuberculosis patients were selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using demographic questionnaires and the WHOQoL-BREF instrument. Chi-Square test was used for bivariate analysis with significance level of 0.05. Results: Most respondents were elderly aged 46-60 years (67.6%), female (52.9%), highly educated (55.9%), employed (51.5%), and reported good quality of life (64.7%). Statistical analysis revealed significant correlations between quality of life and age (p=0.001), gender (p=0.032), education (p=0.046), and occupation (p=0.035). Elderly patients showed equal distribution between poor and good quality of life (33.8% each), while adult patients predominantly had good quality of life (29.4%). Female patients demonstrated better quality of life than males. Higher education and employment status were associated with better quality of life. Conclusion: All demographic factors including age, gender, education, and occupation significantly correlate with quality of life among hospitalized tuberculosis patients. Healthcare providers should consider these factors when developing holistic care strategies.
