Abstract

Abstract

Studies in an educational institution, when the lack of timely graduation of students in each batch and the number of students in each batch, causes an imbalance between incoming students and outgoing students and causes a decrease in accreditation from the campus, this should not continue to happen, the solution to dealing with this problem as an early detection of students who graduate on time is to predict the length of the student study period they have. Therefore, researchers will discuss the design of a prediction system for graduating on time using the Naïve Bayes method, to predict student graduation so that there is no imbalance of incoming and outgoing students. The construction of this system also uses the Naïve Bayes method and the CRISP-DM (Cross Industry Standard Process Data Mining) development method. In this case study, the Naïve Bayes method predicts data into 2, namely 1 (graduated on time) and 0 (did not graduate on time) by labeling the data used. In this model using 3247 data with the selection of features, namely semester achievement index 1 (ips1), ips2, ips3, ips4, ips5, semester credit units1 (credits1), credits2, credits3, credits4, credits5, semester credit units not passed 1 (skstidaklulus1), skstidaklulus2, skstidaklulus3, skstidaklulus4, skstidaklulus5 and labels. Using these feature variables results in model performance with 80% accuracy, with 80% accuracy it can be said that the model works well.

Abstract

Introduction: Cacao fruit diseases significantly impact cocoa yield and quality in Indonesia. Early detection is critical, yet traditional methods are often time-consuming and error-prone due to the visual similarity of disease symptoms. This study aims to compare the performance of two Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) architectures—DenseNet-121 and MobileNetV2—for automated image classification of cacao fruit diseases. Methods: The dataset comprises 8000 images augmented from 2000 original photos taken in cocoa plantations in Bali, categorized into four classes: fruit rot, fruit-sucking pests, pod borers, and healthy fruits. Both CNN models were trained using the Adam optimizer, a learning rate of 0.001, and a dropout rate of 0.4. The input images were resized to 224×224 pixels. Evaluation metrics included accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. Results: DenseNet-121 outperformed MobileNetV2 across all metrics. DenseNet-121 achieved an accuracy of 94.50%, precision of 94.75%, recall of 94.25%, and F1-score of 94.50%. In comparison, MobileNetV2 reached an accuracy of 93.88%. Although MobileNetV2 offered faster training time and lower model complexity, DenseNet-121 demonstrated superior feature extraction and stability, supported by its deeper architecture and greater parameter capacity. Conclusions: DenseNet-121 is more effective than MobileNetV2 in classifying cacao fruit diseases, providing higher accuracy and robustness. Despite requiring more computational resources, it is better suited for developing a web-based cocoa disease detection tool to assist farmers in timely and accurate disease identification.

Abstract

Manual financial recording at the Community and Village Empowerment Service of Bali Province undermines traceability, delays reporting, and heightens the risk of data loss. This study designs and implements a web-based financial management information system that centralizes data capture, processing, storage, and reporting with role-based controls (treasurer, secretary, head of finance). Development followed the waterfall model—requirements definition; system and software design; implementation with unit testing; integration and system testing; and operation and maintenance—supported by clear specifications for security, reliability, and usability. The implemented system manages employee records, cash flows, changes in capital, balance sheets, and income statements, and generates printable managerial reports. Functional verification via black-box testing showed successful execution across all tested pages, indicating correctness of critical workflows (authentication, data entry, and reporting). A user acceptance test involving six finance staff yielded an average score of 81.04%, with the system aspect (appearance and operability) at 82.00%, the user aspect (comprehension and task support) at 77.78%, and the interaction aspect (accessibility and link/page reliability) at 83.33%. These quantitative results indicate that the application meets user needs and is suitable for operational deployment. Practically, adoption is expected to improve transparency, strengthen internal control, accelerate period closing, and reduce operational risk in public-sector finance. The structured lifecycle and role-aware design further provide a foundation for future enhancements, including broader usability evaluations, security hardening under higher loads, integration with e-government data sources, and mobile or offline modules to support bandwidth-constrained environments.

Abstract

This study aims to design, implement, and analyze the impact of a correspondence information system on administrative services in Antiga Village, with a focus on enhancing transparency and service efficiency. A web- and mobile-based management information system was developed to support this objective. The study was structured using the SCRUM model. In Sprint 1, initial data collection was conducted through interviews and questionnaires distributed to village residents, with a carefully selected population and sample. Sprint 2 involved secondary data analysis from literature and previous studies, providing insights into best practices for village administrative management. Sprint 3 included system design using user interface mockups and process flow diagrams. Sprint 4 concentrated on system implementation and functional testing to validate its capabilities. The results indicate that this system has improved administrative service performance, with functional testing achieving a success rate of 71.43%. Impact analysis shows a positive correlation between system implementation and service improvement, with a determination coefficient of 10.3%, suggesting that additional factors also contribute to service enhancement. This study’s contribution lies in its dual focus on system implementation and comprehensive impact analysis, making it a model for similar administrative contexts. The integration of Panca Satya values provides a framework that strengthens transparency, commitment, and dedication to village development. Intensive technology training was found necessary to enhance technical literacy among village officials, ensuring optimal system operation and broadening benefits such as reduced service times and increased resident satisfaction. This study offers a model for integrated service improvement and underscores the role of technology-driven transparency in advancing rural administrative management, serving as a valuable reference for similar initiatives.
