Abstract

Permukiman kelompok di kota-kota di Indonesia banyak berkembang secara tidak terencana dan kumuh. Pertumbuhan permukiman seperti ini dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, selain angka pertumbuhan penduduk yang sangat tinggi, yaitu ruang yang terbatas, waktu dan kemiskinan. Tidak adanya akses dan kemampuan mendapatkan tempat lain dan kelayakan ruang, penghuni permukiman berusaha bertahan dan mengelola lahan dan material yang terbatas agar memenuhi kebutuhan tempat tinggal mereka. Kasus perkembangan lahan bermukim di jalan Sersan Sani memperlihatkan bagaimana penghuni sebagai pelaku (agent) akan tertahan untuk bertindak bila ada ketimpangan struktural (kondisi negatif yang tereproduksi), dalam hal ini berbentuk keterbatasan ekonomi. Bila dibiarkan mereka akan menyesuaikan diri dalam kondisi yang sama lalu situasi tersebut akan terus berulang dipraktikkan sebagai bagian rutinitas hidup mereka. Dari kajian ini disimpulkan permukiman kumuh di kota muncul sebagai jalan keluar kelompok marjinal menciptakan ruang tinggal dan pendukung kegiatan ekonomi mereka. Penataan permukiman kumuh seharusnya melibatkan partisipasi penghuni agar peningkatan kualitas bermukim akan dapat berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study employed quasi experiment which aimed at examining high level thinking skills who learned using problem-based learning model and discovery learning model on environmental change and waste recycling. The populations of the study were all learning groups of grade X IPA of the second semester at MAN 2 in Bima city of academic year 2017/2018. Samples were selected by employing purposive sampling technique. Data of the study were collected by using test methods in forms essays test for high level thinking skills. The results of the study reveal than (i) high level thinking skills of grade X IPA students at MAN 2 in Bima city who learned using problem-based learning model is better than the one using discovery learning, (ii) there is a difference between high level thinking skills of grade X IPA students at MAN 2 in Bima city who learned using problem-based learning model is better than the one using discovery learning.

Abstract

The process of building traditional houses requires sizes of activities to determine dimensions of  spaces. This study seeks to reveal how the activities of occupants relate to the dimensions of space in the vernacular society in Indonesia. It uses a literature study approach by reviewing various studies on vernacular housing in Indonesia. A total of 18 vernacular houses were reviewed and compared to find common relations between the activities and dimensions of the vernacular space. It was found that there were high variations in various placements, uses, and relations between activities and human living spaces, influenced by anthropometric factors, location, and socio-cultural factors. There are a very flexible space utilization and very rigid space utilization and between the two. This finding is expected to be a material for the development of simple, mass-built houses considering the habits of local residents in their activities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji bagaimana peran kesalehan orang tua terhadap kecerdasan emosional anak di Desa O’o Kecamatan Donggo Kabupaten Bima. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis pendekatan fenomenologi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu: wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Kemudian analisis data yang digunakan meliputi pengumpulan data, sampling, reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian yang dilaksanakan menunjukan bahwa lingkungan keluarga mempunyai peran yang besar terhadap nilai-nilai kecerdasan emosional anak. Lingkungan keluarga yang baik akan menghasilkan anak yang baik, begitu pula sebaliknya lingkungan keluarga yang kurang baik hasilnya tidak akan baik. Dari pendidikan keluarga tersebut Seorang anak sudah saling menghargai satu sama lain. Dampak dari efektivitas pendidikan keluarga yang telah diberikan oleh orang tua berpengaruh positif dalam perubahan kecerdasan emosional anak, seperti hal nya perubahan sikap, tutur kata, perilaku yang baik serta saling menghargai satu sama lain. perubahan positif yang terjadi menunjukan dampak pendidikan keluarga. Salah satu yang menjadi faktor penghambat peran kesalehan orang tua yaitu kurangnya perhatian orang tua dikarenakan orang tua sibuk dengan urusannya masing-masing, gedget dan faktor lingkungan. Peran orang tua menjadi suatu hal yang penting untuk diperhatikan dalam pengembangan emosi anak. Keadaan emosianal anak di Desa tersebut telah cukup baik dalam membina hubungan sosial, empati dan motivasi diri. Akan tetapi mereka belum dapat mengenali dan mengendalikan emosi diri dengan baik. Faktor pendukung dalam mengembangkan kecerdasan emosional anak adalah wawasan dan pengalaman orang tua, dukungan anggota keluarga yang lain, dan lingkungan pendidikan bagi anak.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the utilization of natural resources as science learning media at SDN Inpres Mawu Dalam, a school located in a remote area with limited access to technology. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the research examines the implementation, challenges, and impacts of employing natural resource-based learning media. The findings reveal that natural resources such as water, plants, and stones play a significant role in enhancing students' understanding of science concepts, boosting their learning motivation, and encouraging creativity among both students and teachers. Despite these benefits, several challenges arise, including time constraints, limited resources, and unfavorable weather conditions. This study emphasizes the importance of adopting an environment-based approach as an innovative solution to improve the quality of science education, particularly in remote areas where technological access is restricted. By leveraging local resources, schools can create meaningful and engaging learning experiences that are relevant to students' daily lives.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the limited interest of the generation to continue their education to tertiary level in Risa Village, Woha subdistrict. There are 2 main problems in this research; 1) How limited is the generation's interest in continuing their education to tertiary level? 2) What is the solution to overcome the limited interest of the generation to continue their education to tertiary level? This research uses a qualitative research method using a phenomenological approach. The research subjects were the head of Risa Village, RT head, parents, teenagers. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques are carried out through several stages 1) data management. 2) Presentation of data. 3) Drawing conclusions. Judging from the research results, it shows that many teenagers are interested in continuing their education to college, but because there are several reasons why many teenagers are unable to continue their education to college. The limited interest of the generation in Risa Village is caused by a social culture that lacks education. Many graduates are unemployed and there are minimal job vacancies. Unhealthy relationships mean that many generations cannot continue their education to college.

Abstract

Abstrack : Myth is a form of oral literature broadly encompassed as a result of literary creation, its existence inseparable from the dialectic between author, society, and reader. Myths are stories set in the past, containing interpretations of the universe, and believed to have truly occurred by those who tell them or their followers. A commonly held belief among communities is the myth surrounding pregnant women. Pregnant women are required to adhere to believed practices without understanding the reasons, aims, and essence of the myths they follow. They simply observe taboos, believe, and trust in order to avoid bad luck. They dare not adopt a critical stance by questioning their parents about the meaning and purpose of these myths, as doing so would be deemed disrespectful and confrontational. This article examines the community's perceptions and beliefs regarding myths, covering aspects of cultural traditions, supernatural spiritual beliefs, scientific knowledge, health considerations, and religious aspects. Abstrak : Mitos adalah salah bentuk sastra lisan yang tercakup secara umum sebagai hasil dari kesusastraan, keberadaannya tidaklah lepas dari dialektika antara pengarang, masyarakat, dan pembaca. Mitos berupa kisah berlatar masa lampau, mengandung penafsiran tentang alam semesta, serta dianggap benar-benar terjadi oleh yang punya cerita atau penganutnya. Kepercayaan masyarakat yang masih sering dipercayai oleh masyarakat, yaitu mitos terhadap perempuan yang sedang hamil. Perempuan yang sedang hamil diharuskan melakukan hal-hal yang dipercayai tanpa mengetahui alasan, tujuan, dan hakikat dari mitos yang ia laksanakan. Mereka hanya menjalankan berpantang, meyakini, dan mepercayai agar tidak kualat. Tidak berani bersikap kritis dengan bertanya pada orang tua tentang maksud dan tujuannya melaksanakan mitos tersebut karena apabila bertanya malah akan dianggap tidak hormat dan membantah kepada orang tua. Dalam artikel ini mengkaji tentang persepsi dan keyakinan masyarakat terhadap mitos mulai dari aspek tradisi budaya, keyakinan spiritual supranatural, ilmu pengetahuan, aspek kesehatan dan aspek agama.
