Abstract

This research aims to developing the educational game tool (word tree) to improve reading ability of early childhood. This is research used Borg & Gall model and has been modified with six steps, they are potential and problem, data collection, product design, design validation, resign revision, and usage trial. The subject is 5-6 years old children in RA Babul Ilmi Rantauparapat. The instrument used is validation questionnaire sheet. Data analysis technique is formulation of mean score percentage and gain score. The research result showed that: (1) the development of educational game too (word tree) is very worthy to be used to improve reading children of 5-6 years old children; and (2) educational game tool (word tree) developed has high level of effectiveness in improving reading ability of 5-6 years old children. This research suggest to the readers, teachers and other researchers to be creative and innovative in designing learning activity, which one of them is developing the product giving real contribution for their students’ ability. This research developed educational game tool in form of word tree that did not only improve children’s reading ability but also create happiness to learn.

Abstract

Improving SKI Learning Outcomes at MAS PAB Sampali".  The background is student learning outcomes in SKI subjects.  Educative interaction patterns are one activity that can be an alternative for improving student learning outcomes in SKI subjects.  The aim of this research is to determine the educational interaction patterns of teachers and students in improving SKI learning outcomes and to determine the impact of implementing teacher and student educational interaction patterns in improving SKI learning outcomes. This type of research is qualitative research.  The data collection methods used were observation, interviews and documentation.  Data analysis technique namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing verification conclusions.  The data sources for the research informants were PKM in the curriculum sector, SKI teachers, and representatives of several students at MAS PAB Sampali. The results of this research are that the educational interaction patterns implemented run effectively.  SKI teachers use a one-way pattern in delivering material, a two-way pattern through question and answer interactions, and a three-way pattern with group activities.  Of the three patterns that have been implemented, they can have a positive impact on improving students' SKI learning outcomes, as proven by students who are increasingly active in learning and have in-depth knowledge of the material that has been explained. Students are also said to have fulfilled the three aspects of learning outcomes, namely cognitive, affective,  and psychomotor.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the role of animated film media in improving the socio-emotional development of children aged 5-6 years at TK Haholongan, Siundol Julu Village, Sosopan District, Padang Lawas Regency, during the 2023-2024 academic year. To collect data, the researcher used the classroom action research method, employing observation, interviews, and pre-tests. The study involved 11 children, consisting of 4 boys and 7 girls. The results indicate that children's socio-emotional development improved following interventions using animated film media. During the pre-test in the pre-cycle, the percentage of socio-emotional development was 36.36% (4 children) categorized as "starting to develop," and 63.63% (7 children) categorized as "not yet developing." In Cycle I, improvement was observed, with 5 children (45.45%) categorized as "developing as expected," while 6 children (54.54%) remained in the "starting to develop" category. In Cycle II, significant progress was noted, with 9 children (81.81%) categorized as "developing very well," and 2 children (18.18%) categorized as "developing as expected." Thus, animated film media can effectively enhance the socio-emotional development of children aged 5-6 years at TK Haholongan, Siundol Julu Village, Sosopan District, Padang Lawas Regency, during the 2023-2024 academic year.

Abstract

This research was carried out at PAUD Ayuni Tembung. Another problem in this research is what obstacles children face when playing the traditional game of coconut shell stilts in the gross motor development of children aged 5-6 years at PAUD Ayuni Tembung. The aim of this research is to determine the obstacles faced by children when playing the traditional game of coconut shell stilts in the gross motor development of children aged 5-6 years at PAUD Ayuni Tembung. The research method used is "Classroom Action Research" (PTK). Based on the results of research that has been conducted, playing on coconut shell stilts can improve the gross motor skills of group B children at PAUD Ayuni Tembung. The child's balance in the initial condition was 21.43%, in the first cycle it increased, the child's balance became 67.86%. The child's strength in the initial condition was 17.86%, in cycle I it increased, the child's strength became 64.29%, in cycle II it increased, the child's strength became 96.43%. The child's agility in the initial condition was 14.29%, in the first cycle it increased, the child's agility became 57.14%, in the second cycle it increased, the child's agility became 96.43%. Abstract

General background: Student worship discipline is shaped not merely by cognitive understanding of fiqh but significantly by the teacher's personal example and moral integrity. Specific background: Despite the critical role of teacher personality in Islamic education, empirical studies exploring how personality competence affects students' worship behavior remain limited. Knowledge gap: Little is known about the specific personality traits and contextual factors that enable fiqh teachers to effectively cultivate worship discipline in students. Aims: This study investigates the personality competence of fiqh teachers in shaping student worship discipline at MTs GUPPI Pangkatan. Results: Using a qualitative descriptive approach and triangulated data from interviews, documents, and literature, the findings reveal that effective fiqh teachers exhibit stable, mature, wise, and morally exemplary personalities, coupled with strong religious commitment and authority. Novelty: The study identifies internal (teacher personality and commitment) and external (curriculum, method, environment, parental and principal support) factors that support or inhibit success, highlighting the interplay between personal competence and institutional context. Implications: These findings suggest that enhancing teacher personality competence should be prioritized in teacher training programs to foster disciplined religious practices among students. Highlights: Teacher personality directly influences students' worship discipline. Internal and external factors shape teaching effectiveness. Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of parents in instilling Islamic values in deaf children and the obstacles encountered in the process of religious education at SLB Melati Aisyiyah Tembung. Employing a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving 11 parents (8 males and 3 females) selected using a purposive sampling technique. Observations were conducted to identify parents’ activities in supporting the learning of deaf children, while interviews explored their strategies and roles in instilling Islamic values, complemented by documentation in the form of photographs and activity records. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that parents play a crucial role through visual approaches and direct practice, although challenges such as limited communication skills, insufficient educational resources, and lack of environmental support persist. The study concludes that strong collaboration among families, schools, and communities is essential to create an inclusive educational environment and to foster the development of Islamic values in children with special needs, while also highlighting the need for targeted training programs and accessible learning materials to optimize religious education for deaf children.

Abstract

Background (General): Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) are central institutions in Indonesia’s educational landscape, known not only for religious teaching but also for character development. Background (Specific): Modern pesantren integrate general and religious education with structured mentoring to cultivate leadership among students (santri). Knowledge Gap: Previous studies often examined isolated aspects of leadership training, such as organizational roles or public speaking, but little is known about how pesantren holistically combine education, discipline, and role modeling to form leadership character. Aim: This study investigates the role of Pondok Pesantren Modern Darul Arafah Raya in shaping santri leadership character, along with its supporting and inhibiting factors. Results: Using a descriptive qualitative approach through observation, interviews, and documentation, findings reveal that leadership formation occurs through student organizations, ustaz role models, disciplined boarding routines, and structured public speaking training. Despite initial challenges—such as lack of confidence, time management, and external influences—progressive mentoring significantly improved students’ responsibility, communication, and confidence. Novelty: Unlike prior research, this study demonstrates how pesantren’s integrated system—spiritual, academic, and organizational—collectively fosters leadership qualities. Implications: The findings affirm that modern pesantren are strategic educational models for producing leaders who are intellectually competent, morally upright, and socially responsible, ready to face contemporary challenges.Highlight : Modern Islamic boarding schools shape the leadership of students through organization, exemplary behavior, and discipline. Supporting factors include gradual guidance, the role of teachers, and a conducive environment. Obstacles arise from the students' backgrounds, boredom, time management, and outside influences. Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian studi literatur yang bertujuan menganalisis beberapa temuan dari hasil artikel, jurnal dan prosiding penelitian sebelumnya. Tujuan analisis ini mengacu pada isu isu tentang keguruan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif kualitatif melalui cara menganalisis, mengidentifikasi, serta mendalami temuan-temuan dari hasil penelitian sebelumnya. Objek penelitian ini adalah jurnal, artikel dan prosiding pada yang diterbitkan pada tingkat nasional dan internasional. Singkat kata, hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan dua kategorisasi analisis yang pertama, kategori penerapan ditemukan bahwa masih ada guru yang mengalami beberapa kesulitan.Akan tetapi, sebagai penelitian yang menunjukkan penerapan penilaian autentik ini guru merasa cukup terbantu menilai ketercapaian siswa dalam belajar. Kategori kedua yaitu pengembangan, hasil dari beberapa pengembangan penilaian autentik dari beberapa peneliti menunjukkan hasil bahwa penilaian autentik ini dapat diterima oleh guru, siswa, dosen maupun mahasiswa untuk menilai kemampuan sikap, pengetahuan danketerampilan dalam belajar. Ini terbukti bahwa suatu penelitian dan pengembangan penilaian autentik dari beberapa inovasi penerapan dapat diterima dengan baik, efektif dan efisien.

Abstract

The task of a teacher is not only as an educator but the teacher also plays a role in changing the personality of students for the better. The relationship between the leadership style of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers and student academic achievement can be very significant. The formulation of the problem of this study is to see how the leadership style of PAI teachers in teaching in the classroom and its relationship with improving student academic achievement at school. The purpose of this study was to see how the relationship between the leadership style of PAI teachers and students' academic achievement at SMP Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan. This study used a quantitative approach of survey type by using questionnaires to collect information from respondents as a sample. In research with a quantitative approach, the analysis emphasizes numerical data processed by statistical methods. As for the use of sampling techniques, researchers use simple random sampling, namely by making a lottery number to be distributed to students and giving each member of the population the opportunity to be used as a research sample. The results of research related to the relationship between the leadership style of Islamic Religious Education teachers and student academic achievement at SMPN 1 Percut Sei Tuan, namely the leadership style of Islamic Religious Education teachers has a significant relationship with student academic achievement. Seen from the results of the study, researchers found a significant relationship between the leadership style of PAI teachers with students' academic achievement with a contribution of 65.6%.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the need for innovative learning media to enhance early childhood language skills. One such effort is the development of a picture storybook (CerGam) designed to foster children’s language abilities. The objectives of this research are to determine: (1) the feasibility of the CerGam book in improving children’s language skills, (2) its practicality of use, and (3) its effectiveness for children aged 5–6 years at TK IT Al-Khalish. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4D model, involving 15 children as the sample. Data were collected through validation sheets, practicality questionnaires, and language skill tests, then analyzed using validity, practicality, and effectiveness tests. The findings reveal a significant improvement in children’s language abilities after using the CerGam book. These results affirm that CerGam is feasible, practical, and effective as a learning medium, while also contributing to teachers and parents in supporting early childhood language development.
