Abstract

The research aims to analyze the effecttof the hearthhprogrammon maternal behaviorrin preventing stunting. Ethics clearance has been received from the Ethics Committee in Kupang. This study used a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of thirty people who were randomly selected. They are toddlers who live with their parents in Kuanheun Village. Stunting prevention behavior was obtained through interviews using a questionnaire. The children's weight and height were measured before and after the hearth program. This activity is carried out twice for three months by involving all participants. Data analysis used a paired t-test. The research showed that the hearth program had an effect on the mother's behavior. This study has not fully implemented the positive deviance approach. It will be better to applied for the next program. So the researchers can use this method with a better initial investigation and involve the community and all community leaders.

Abstract

Tingkat Pengetahuan tentang gizi dan kesehatan setiap orang berbeda-beda. Hal tersebut bergantung tingkat pendidikan, akses terhadap informasi dan kemampuan untuk menyerap informasi. Penerapan pengetahuan tentang gizi dan kesehatan juga berbeda-beda tiap orang. Peran kader terhadap hal tersebut sangat penting. Khususnya peran sebagai mediator bagi masyarakat pada kelompok sasaran posyandu. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat tentang pelatihan dan pendampingan kader ini penting karena kader dapat memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap ibu dalam hal merawat anak dan mengelola makanan yang bergizi. Hal ini sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan status gizi anak balita. Metode kegiatan berupa pelatihan kader gizi, praktik bersama ibu dan anak balita di pos gizi, praktik di rumah masing-masing, dan evaluasi akhir dengan mengukur berat badan dan tinggi badan anak. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa berat badan anak balita meningkat sekitar 50–250-gram setelah mengikuti kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat. Sehingga disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan kader terbukti efektif dan bermanfaat. Ibu dapat mengadopsi pengetahuan yang disampaikan melalui kader yang berdampak pada perbaikan gizi anak balita.

Abstract

Peserta Prolanis adalah peserta BPJS yang memiliki diagnosis diabetes mellitus tipe 2 dan/atau hipertensi ditetapkan oleh dokter spesialis. Tingginya tren penyakit degeneratif akibat bertambahnya kelompok usia lanjut juga akan berdampak pada tingginya pembiayaan penyakit kronis. Penelitian terkait usia penderita diabetes melitus, menyebutkan bahwa kebutuhan nutrisi meningkat seiring bertambahnya usia. Tingginya tingkat pengetahuan lansia tentang gizi dapat mempengaruhi perilaku dan pemenuhan gizinya. Lingkar perut adalah salah satu metode antropometri untuk mengetahui status obesitas abdominal atau Obesitas sentral berhubungan dengan kejadian morbiditas dan mortalitas akibat obesitas, seperti diabetes mellitus tipe 2, sindrom metabolik, dan penyakit jantung koroner. Pengabdian masyarakat ini berlangsung di Puskesmas Oepoi Kota Kupang bertepatan dengan jadwal Prolanis. Semua peserta adalah tiga puluh orang tua yang terdiri dari dua belas orang laki-laki dan delapan belas perempuan. Berdasarkan skor post-test, menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan lansia tentang gizi seimbang setelah diberikan edukasi. Selanjutnya, hasil pengukuran lingkar perut menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar lansia menderita obesitas viseral. Disarankan agar pengabdian masyarakat ini dilanjutkan dengan penelitian untuk mengetahui lebih dalam tentang hubungan antara obesitas viseral dengan kejadian penyakit kronis sehingga dilakukan tindakan pencegahan.

Abstract

The quality of health services is health services that can satisfy every user of health services that is in sync with the level of satisfaction of the average population and the implementation is in accordance with professional standards and ethical codes. Service quality and patient satisfaction are the two most important things in hospital services. This literature review aims to determine the relationship between the quality of health services and the satisfaction of inpatients. This type of research is literature review research, the articles used were obtained from PUBMED and Google Scholar with articles published starting from 2018-2022. The number of journal articles was 8 articles analyzed. The results showed that there was a relationship between the quality of health services (asscurance, empathy, responsiveness, tangible and reliability) with inpatient satisfaction at the hospital. It can be concluded that satisfaction is a level of patient feeling that arises as a result of the service performance that is obtained after the patient compares it with what he expects. If the patient is dissatisfied with the nursing services provided, he will not seek the service or accept it, even though the service is available, practically obtainable and reachable

Abstract

Malnutrition or undernutrition is a condition where a person has below average nutrition. Undernutrition is caused by a person lacking intake of carbohydrates, protein, fat and vitamins that are very much needed by the body. The purpose of the study was to obtain an overview of the educational method for providing additional food to parents with undernourished toddlers at the Alak Health Center. This type of research is a study using a descriptive design using a case study approach method to explore the educational method for providing additional food to children with undernourishment at the Alak Health Center. The subjects of the case study were 3 toddler patients who experienced undernourishment at the Alak Health Center. The results of this study showed an increase in respondents' knowledge about providing additional food to toddlers with undernourishment. This proves that education on providing additional food with the counseling method and flipchart media can increase knowledge about providing additional food to toddlers with undernourishment. Providing education with the counseling method using flipchart media can increase mothers' knowledge about providing additional food to toddlers with undernourishment.

Abstract

Pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by the bacteria Mycobacterium Tuberculosis that attacks the lung parenchyma which is characterized by the formation of granulomas. This study aims to determine the effect of alarms and pill reminders on medication adherence in TB patients at the Sikumana Health Center in Kupang City. This study uses a qualitative approach (Case study). This case study research was conducted on 2 (two) respondents with direct observation to obtain data in the form of respondent characteristics, medication adherence by means of a pre-test using a questionnaire before being given the implementation of alarms and pill reminders. This study shows an increase in medication adherence in TB patients by using alarms and pill reminders on respondents. This proves that alarms and pill reminders can increase medication adherence in TB patients. The implementation of alarms and pill reminders proves that it can increase and influence medication adherence in TB patients.
