Abstract

This article argues the political factors behind aid implementation continuously become dominant motive in donor-recipient relationships. Thus this makes the effort to effective aid which already started since post-Cold War era did not really find significant achievements. Although in the Paris meeting aid communities regards the idea of ownership as a new effort to effective aid intervention in developing countries, however, once again, the issue of power and politics remain hidden in the discussion. In fact, ownership has political dimension in which it involves power and interest among actors. In this context, each development actor is in position to win ‘ownership’ over development according to their agenda. Thus, this makes aid effectiveness agenda, once again, did not fully achieve much progress

Abstract

This research discusses the impact of Russia's invasion of Ukraine on the Indonesian economy, focusing on the energy sector. Amidst the increasing complexity of global geopolitical issues, international events such as Russia's invasion of Ukraine have significant global consequences, even for countries not directly involved in the conflict. This study is grounded in the theory of the political economy of war, serving as the analytical framework to understand how these dynamics affect Indonesia's economic sector. As a direct consequence of the invasion, the global energy sector distribution has been disrupted. Nations that previously imported energy from Russia must now seek alternative sources to meet their energy needs. Indonesia, being one of the world's largest producers of non-oil and gas energy, emerges as a primary choice of alternative energy export source. The research findings indicate a substantial increase in the export of non-oil and gas energy from Indonesia, which, in turn, has a positive impact on the growth of the country's economic sector. The research employs a descriptive-qualitative approach, collecting data from literature reviews and online research to complement secondary data. The results of this study offer insights into how changes in global geopolitical dynamics can affect a country's economy, even when not directly involved in such events. Indonesia, for instance, has seized the opportunity to boost its non-oil and gas energy exports, thereby influencing the growth of a specific economic sector in the country. This research provides valuable contributions to understanding the interplay between geopolitical events and the global economy. Keywords: economic, Indonesia, invasion, Russia, Ukraine

The material presented in this cooking class program can be a business opportunity for PIDs in Glan to improve their economy by utilizing local natural resources and also get to know Indonesian culture again. The result of this activity is that the PIDs in Glan have the opportunity to improve the Indonesian culinary business in the form of pisang gapit and dadar gulung, and the PIDs can preserve Indonesian culture even though they don't live in Indonesia.

Abstract

Enhancing entrepreneurial spirit at Pondok Pesantren (Islamic Boarding Schools) becomes a crucial point in the effort to improve the independence of the institution, considering the increasing needs and its potential to contribute to the economic well-being of the institution. In addition, the students (santri) also receive lessons in entrepreneurship, enabling them to learn about business and gain the confidence to become entrepreneurs, especially if supported by the readiness of the institution to facilitate its students. Besides the independence of the institution itself, entrepreneurship at Pondok Pesantren also benefits the surrounding community when the initiated business manages to empower the local community. Pondok Pesantren Ahmad Dahlan, located in Kriyan, Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta Special Region, is one such institution that has the potential to develop an independent business. This is considering that the institution already has a 3kg Gas (Melon) business and has received prior training. Pondok Pesantren Ahmad Dahlan has significant potential in developing entrepreneurial spirit, both among its students and administrators. This results in a lack of diversification of economic revenue sources to support the institution's activities. To address this issue, the Community Service Team from Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) implemented a community service program focusing on the cultivation of tilapia and gourami fish. The methods used include training, field practice, and ongoing assistance, monitored and evaluated periodically. The findings indicate a significant increase in knowledge and skills in fish cultivation among students and administrators, as well as the potential for a significant increase in income from this fish farming business. Thus, this program positively contributes to the utilization of land and human resources for additional income to support the activities of Pondok Pesantren Ahmad Dahlan.

Abstract

As a country with abundant nickel potential, Indonesia possesses numerous advantages that have attracted China to expand its capital in the Indonesia. The collaboration between countries demonstrates the mutual national interests. Following the establishing of downstream policy through Ministerial Regulation No. 11 of 2019, the Indonesian Government has shown increased concern for optimizing its domestic nickel potential. This study examines the impact of cooperation between Indonesia's and China' in the nickel industry on Indonesia's economic growth and environment. It seeks to determine whether this cooperation benefit Indonesian people by fostering advancements in human resources indicators, infrastructure development, and presenting viable solution to environmental challenges through their joint efforts in the nickel industry or vice versa? The research method is qualitative, with critical approaches analyzed using economic diplomacy theory. The results shows that this cooperation positively impacts Indonesia's economic growth, especially in terms of increased employment, human resource development, and infrastructure development. However, it also presents new challenges on environmental issues. Indonesia's endeavors to address environmental problems stemming from the nickel industry involve pressuring China, as an investor, to uphold environmental standards within the mining areas.

Abstract

Through an analysis of Law No. 19 of 2019 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption, this paper analyzes the paradigm adopted by the Indonesian government when formulating strategies to combat corruption. Since their inception in 1957, laws and regulations on combating corruption have changed to reflect the evolution of the problem, the causes of corruption's growth in Indonesia, the dynamics of politics and the economy, and other aspects. The formation of Indonesia's Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in 2003, which performs a number of tasks, was a turning point in the country's efforts to eradicate corruption. With the publication of Law No. 19 of 2019, which replaces Law No. 30 of 2002 with the eradication of criminal acts of corruption, reform was also continued. This writing aims to analyze and measure the paradigm used by the Indonesian government in making policies to eradicate corruption through the analysis of Law no. 19 of 2019. The author uses the content analysis method in analyzing the law. Analysis was carried out on three indicators; actors, authorities, and governance which represent the three paradigms; realism (state), liberalism (non-state), and constructivism (social construction). Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that; Law No. 19 of 2019 is strongly influenced by the realism paradigm, and although the law is appropriate to replace the previous law, the law still has several weaknesses to be corrected and revised by the government.
