Abstract

Decreased consciousness is a common problem in the elderly due to cardiac arrest. Quick and appropriate assistance in handling emergency cases through Basic Life Support is very important for the safety of the elderly. The purpose of this research was the Effect of Simulation on the Behavior of Informal Care Givers in Providing Basic Life Support to the Elderly. The population of this research was all informal care givers in the Kedungsari Health Center UPT area, Mojokerto Regency, totaling 85 people. The research sample consisted of 80 informal care givers using purposive sampling. The research design used the Pre Experiment Pre-Post Test One Group Design”. In this research, the Pre-test was in the form of filling out a behavioral questionnaire in providing basic life support. Furthermore, an intervention was given in the form of a basic life support simulation for 2 meetings. After that, a post-test was carried out to fill out the questionnaire. Furthermore, data analysis and the Wilcoxon Rank Test were carried out. The results of the study showed an increase in good behavior after being given a basic life support simulation, namely 71.2%, with behavior in the positive rank of 46 respondents. Providing simulations has been proven to be effective in improving informal caregiver behavior in providing basic life support to the elderly (Pv 0.000 <0.05). It is expected that health workers will use simulation methods as an effective method. Providing basic life support simulations can be further developed through various case studies. Abstract

This study explores the impact of motivation and learning styles on academic achievement in the Introduction to Economics course at Politeknik Penerbangan Surabaya. Despite a rigorous curriculum and effective teaching methods, cadets’ academic performance has not met expectations, raising questions about the internal factors that may influence academic success. The study employs a descriptive quantitative approach, using multiple linear regression to analyze how intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, as well as visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles, affect academic performance. The findings reveal that while motivation has a positive influence on academic achievement, its effect is not statistically significant. Conversely, learning style is found to have a significant impact on academic performance, with the regression analysis showing a stronger influence of learning style (0.702) compared to motivation (0.405). The simultaneous analysis of both motivation and learning style confirms that these factors together account for 85.3% of the variation in academic achievement. These results suggest that teaching strategies should be tailored to match students' learning styles, while also fostering motivation to enhance learning outcomes. The study provides insights for improving educational practices at Politeknik Penerbangan Surabaya and offers actionable recommendations for optimizing cadets' academic success.

Abstract

Penurunan stunting balita merupakan target tujuan utama di Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) dan rencana pembangunan di Indonesia. Pemahaman keluarga tentang pemenuhan gizi pada balita sangat diperlukan agar kejadian stunting dapat dicegah sejak awal. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah meningkatkan kemampuan keluarga dalam mencegah stunting melalui “Edukasi Isi Piringku”. Pengabdian masyarakat Cegah Balita Dari Stunting Melalui “Edukasi Isi Piringku” dilaksanakan di Dusun Candirejo Desa Awang-Awang Kab. Mojokerto dilaksanakan Mei-Desember 2025. Sasaran “Edukasi Isi Piringku” adalah 21 keluarga yang mempunyai balita dengan stunting dan resiko stunting (underweight, wasting). Metode pelaksanaan pada kegiatan ini meliputi tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Pada tahap persiapan dilakukan melalui perijinan ke desa, sosialisasi kepada keluarga yang memiliki balita gizi stunting dan resiko stunting. Pada tahap pelaksanaan dilakukan pengukuran pre tes kemampuan keluarga dalam pencegahan stunting balita dan dilanjutkan pemberian edukasi. Tahap akhir yaitu evaluasi (pos test) untuk mengetahui kemampuan keluarga dalam mencegah stunting pada balita. Kemampuan keluarga meningkat 71% menjadi baik dan ada pengaruh “Edukasi Isi Piringku” dalam meningkatkan kemampuan keluarga mencegah stunting balita (P-value 0,002 < 0,05). Tenaga kesehatan terutama Perawat Kesehatan Masyarakat (Perkesmas) dapat menggunakan pendekatan “Edukasi Isi Piringku” melalui metode ceramah, diskusi dan demonstrasi isi piringku untuk percepatan penurunan stunting balita.

Abstract

Gedung Terminal Bandar Udara Internasional Adi Soemarmo Surakarta adalah salah satu area penting yang dapat mempengaruhi pelayanan kenyamanan dan keselamatan penumpang. Setelah perluasan pada tahun 2019, Gedung Terminal memiliki luas 33.351 m2 sehingga perlu dilakukan pengawasan atau inspeksi secara efektif dan memerlukan pelaporan checklist kerusakan dengan cepat untuk mengimbangi kebutuhan, kemajuan dan kecanggihan teknologi di era globalisasi. Kondisi eksisting di lapangan saat ini kegiatan checklist inspeksi rutin terminal menggunakan sistem pelaporan berbasis website yang dalam pengoperasiannya dinilai kurang praktis dan kurang fleksibel. Dalam pelaporan kerusakan dan progress tindak lanjut dari pelaporan kerusakan masih dilakukan secara manual. Untuk itu pembuatan aplikasi checklist inspeksi rutin gedung terminal berbasis android diharapkan dapat mempercepat pelaporan hasil inspeksi.Metode penelitian dalam rancang bangun aplikasi ini menggunakan metode prototype evolusioner. Metode prototype evolusioner dapat memberikan sistem atau pemrograman untuk menyajikan gambaran yang lengkap. Metode ini digunakan untuk mengurangi resiko seperti kemunculan error pada hal-hal yang terlewatkan dalam persyaratan.Aplikasi checklist inspeksi rutin gedung terminal memiliki 2 akun pengguna yaitu akun sebagai admin yang berfungsi untuk mengelola sekaligus bertanggung jawab atas kendali data dalam aplikasi dan akun sebagai user yang berfungsi memberikan laporan hasil checklist inspeksi rutin gedung terminal yang benar dan sesuai dengan kondisi lapangan sesungguhnya. Admin yaitu pihak SOC.TF (Unit Airport Facilities Manager). Sedangkan, user yaitu ACT (Airport Civil Technician). Hasil output aplikasi ini berupa file excel hasil inspeksi yang dapat dikelola kembali oleh admin.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a web-based information system for the Language Unit of Politeknik Penerbangan Surabaya to replace the existing manual management processes. The system is designed to improve the efficiency of information delivery, registration, and payment for services such as language training, English proficiency tests, and document translation. The development process adopts the Agile methodology, which enables iterative development and rapid adaptation to user needs. The system implementation utilizes WordPress as the content management system and MySQL as the primary database to ensure data reliability and ease of management. The results show that the developed website provides faster, more flexible, and secure access for users. Furthermore, the system supports a mobile-friendly design, allowing users to access information anytime and anywhere. Thus, the system successfully supports the modernization of language services through efficient and sustainable digitalization.
