Abstract

Anemia is a reduced number of red blood cells or hemoglobin content in the blood. The largest group that can experience anemia are pregnant women. Causes of anemia in pregnant women include the production of hemoglobin chains due to certain diseases or experiencing impaired hemoglobin production due to a lack of iron, folic acid or vitamin B12. Existing research states that dragon fruit can overcome anemia, where dragon fruit contains substances that the body needs for the formation and maturation of blood cells. The research objective was to determine the effect of dragon fruit juice on changes in blood profile levels in pregnant women with anemia who received iron supplementation. The research method used was a quasi-experimental design with a nonrandomized pretest and posttest design with control group design. This research was conducted for 7 weeks. The number of samples in this study were 40 respondents (20 respondents in the intervention group who received dragon fruit juice and Fe tablet supplementation and 20 respondents who only received iron tablet supplementation). Samples were obtained using purposive sampling. Evaluation of blood profile levels was carried out after giving dragon fruit juice on day 15. The results showed an increase in hemoglobin, hematocrit, and erythrocyte levels (p = 0,000), meaning that giving dragon fruit juice to pregnant women with anemia had an effect on increasing hemoglobin levels. hematocrit, and erythrocytes. For health services, it is hoped that dragon fruit juice can be used as an alternative in overcoming anemia in pregnant for women.

Abstract

Anemia of pregnancy is a condition of decreased hemoglobin content in the blood of pregnant women, which is a health problem, especially in developing countries with high morbidity rates in pregnant women. The causes of anemia are the occurrence of hemodilution during pregnancy, the lack of iron content in the food consumed, and the presence of some content from food or drink that interferes with the absorption of iron in the body. One alternative that can be done to meet the iron needs of pregnant women is to consume vegetables that contain iron, one of which is red spinach. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of red spinach stew on increasing Hb levels in pregnant women in the second trimester with anemia at the Kurnia Deli Tua Clinic. The research method used is Pre-experimental Design with One Group Pretest-Postest research design. The study population of pregnant women in the second trimester with anemia was 16 people. Samples were taken using total sampling with a total sample of 16 pregnant women in the second trimester with anemia. Independent Variable Decoction of red spinach the dependent variable is the increase in Hb levels in pregnant women. Research instrument Easy Touch GCHb Hemoglobin check tool and slow observation. The results of the study using the Wilcoxon test found a p value of 0.003 < 0.05, which means that there is an effect of giving red spinach stew on increasing Hb levels in pregnant women in the second trimester with anemia at the Kurnia Deli Tua clinic in 2022.

Abstract

Abstract Labor is the process of expelling a fetus that is born naturally in full pregnancy (32-42 weeks) with a posterior head presentation within 18 hours without complications for both mother and fetus. Some mothers feel traumatized to give birth again for fear of experiencing pain during childbirth. For mothers who have given birth, pain often occurs during childbirth, but if it is not handled properly it can cause other problems. One alternative that is done to reduce labor pain is to use a warm compress. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of warm water compresses on reducing the intensity of labor pain during the active phase of acceleration at BPM Kurnia, Deli Tua District, Deli Serdang Regency in 2022. The research method used was Pre-experimental Design with a one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study were all pregnant women in the first stage of the active phase, with a population of 25 respondents. The sampling technique in this study used a purposive sampling technique, with a sample of 20 respondents. The results showed a reduction in the intensity of labor pain before and after being given a warm compress, namely 3.750 gr/dl with a standard deviation of 1.916, the mean standard error of 0.428. And 95% Cl = 2.853-2.647 with a p value of 0.000. Research conclusions Based on the data above, it is known that the results of the Paired T-Test test obtained a p-value of which means <0.005. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an average effect of reducing the intensity of labor pain before (pretest) and after (posttest) given the intervention, so it can be said there is the effect of warm compresses on reducing the intensity of labor pain in the first stage of the active phase of acceleration at BPM Kurnia in 2022.

Abstract

Childbirth is a process of giving birth that occurs naturally with uterine contractions in the mother which is passed by opening to expel the baby. The scientific procedure is where cervical dilatation occurs, the birth of the baby and the placenta from the mother's womb (Beautiful, Firdayanti, 2019). Pain is an unpleasant emotional and sensory experience due to actual and potential tissue damage (Surbakti, 2017). One of the non-pharmacological methods of reducing labor pain is the application of warm compresses. A warm compress is giving a warm feeling to the patient to fulfill a need for comfort. Warm compresses are a procedure for using local temperatures which can cause some physiological effects (Agustiningrum, 2015). The first activity carried out was by inviting 18 pregnant women to attend the pregnancy exercise and distributing leaflets about education on warm compresses in reducing the intensity of labor pain. Before the warm compress is carried out, pregnant women will first take part in a pre-test to measure the initial knowledge of pregnant women regarding the application of warm compresses in reducing pain intensity during labor. After that, warm compresses are carried out. At the end of the session, pregnant women were asked to fill out a post-test and provide an evaluation regarding the activities that had been carried out. Pregnant women will be observed after doing warm compresses by evaluating how often pregnant women do warm compresses. Pregnant women who apply warm compresses experience a reduction in pain during the third trimester of pregnancy by 55.5%.

Abstract

Infection, irritation and allergies are diseases that are prone to occur in infants due to the relatively thin layer of the baby's skin. diaper dermatitis/diaper rash is one of the most common skin problems in infants and children. Diaper rash occurs due to moisture in the baby caused by diapers that are too full of feces and urine. Virgin Coconut Oil is pure coconut oil that is processed without using high temperatures and the addition of chemicals. VCO contains saturated fatty acids and natural moisturizers contained in VCO absorb the inner layers of the skin and can help maintain skin flexibility and elasticity. The content of Lauric acid and capric acid in virgin coconut oil can kill viruses. This counseling activity aims to provide knowledge to mothers about virgin coconut oil which can be used for their baby's diaper rash. This community service is an educational process through counseling and training for mothers, especially teaching mothers how to make virgin coconut oil and informing them of the benefits contained in virgin coconut oil, as well as mothers knowing how to deal with diaper rash in non-pharmacological babies, namely by giving pure coconut oil (VCO).
